- Q:I want to press charges for sexual assault, though it has been 5 years now since it happened. But I don't want family or friends involved. Plus I don't want to face him again. I'm scared people may think I'm lying or just overreacting. Should I just let it go, and see a therapist alone?
- Press charges.
- Q:What's wrong with a wood plate bent out of a cold press? Board 2 meters long, 15 centimeters wide, a pressure of 7, tile solution!!I use a cold press, not a hot press.
- This has to do with the glue, the pressure, and the stress of the material, and the temperature of the season
- Q:what are some good supplements or tips for maxing out on bench. and dont say im too young for supplements either! im a 15, 5'9 and 170 lb middle linebacker/fullback. i can leg press about 550 and can only bench like 120 if that?! please help me!
- Don't worry about it...your only 15...just keep reping.....i went from 95 to 200 pounds on bench my freshman year... i was about 6'0 and 160 pounds then
- Q:how can i get my bench press up? besides actually bench pressing.
- if okorder /
- Q:I'm talking calf pressing with a leg press machine. I'm a 19 year old female athlete and each time I go to the gym I add more and more weight on and can still do it relatively easily. Right now I'm at around 650 lbs. I do around a 100 reps of it before my feet cramp and I stop. The only thing that is getting more difficult is lifting it off the safety catch. The actual calf pressing is easy. I just want to know if I will eventually be able to max out, or if I will even be able to try before my quads are just not able to lift the weight up.
- If you want to work your calves to failure, it's not hard to do. Use a calf machine. As for the leg press, there's no way we can know because we don't know how strong your legs are. However, you can always work to failure simply because there is always an upper limit to how many calf presses you can do. Try doing 1000 and if that's not enough do 10,000 reps...etc. So the rather obvious answer to your question is yes. Good luck and good health!! ?
- Q:Is it better to do the overhead press exercise with individual dumbbells or with a straight bar? What's the difference? Please provide a link if possible, thanx. I give every answer a 'thumbs-up' rating.
- I never liked having to dodge the bar with my head and the dumbbells keeps the weight evenly distributed, can't cheat. Now go and press a few out.
- Q:press fit diodes - the one which are used in car alternator Please provide me some info like a link or something :D
- press-fit is type of mounting, component is basically jammed into a tight place (slightly smaller than needs to be). the fit has to hold reliably as temperature changes.
- Q:Hello Everyone. Im a 23 year old female and I joined a new gym in which they have a bench press club. All males have to bench press their weight in 8 reps, while the woman have to bench 65% of their weight, 8 reps as well.I was a 3 sport athlete in high school and a collegiate softball player as well. I just graduated in December...I thought I think I wanna live up to the challenge and try to be in the bench press club. I weigh 148 which means I have to bench press 96lbs 8 times. Which doesnt seem like alot the only problem is I dont really know how to I train for this?? I always do cardio everyday, but dont bench press or light weights and its been 5 months since I lifted actively while I was in college playing sports.Granted they do have trainers at the gym, but their arms as as big as my head and I dont want to make myself look like a fool, lol! Can anyone help me??? please?? thanks :)
- its very nice you are willing to participate in such a fun and great way to excercise as lifting weights......now to answer your question bench pressing involves 3 major muscle groups working together to lift said weight, those muscle groups being the pectoralis major aka your chest.... Tricep aka the back of your arms.... . Front Deltoid aka the front of your shoulder... improving your bench press weight is NOT that difficult, i would personally recommend selecting a weight you feel comfortable with and start practicing we shall call it....try to learn proper form, how it SHOULD feel in each muscle group to lift the weight to full exstension, once you get proper form down start to gradually add weight as you do this more and more....youll find yourself getting stronger and stronger each time.... i would personally recommend a session of lighter weight/ higher rep 4 sets of 15 lets say on monday and then a session of higher weight/lower rep for friday....doing 4 sets of 6-8 the lighter weight higher rep will improve your endurance while the lower weight higher rep will improve your strength.....make sure using the lower weight and higher weight you should be FAILING at the max reps i suggested, once u hit 8 reps or 15 reps you should be tired....give yourself a 1-2 minute breather and knock out the next set REST IN BETWEEN AND EAT WELL....both very important things hope i helped
- Q:is cold pressed oil oil better for you and why? is it healthier?
- First cold press is generally a purely commercial wording with no factual meaning. It suggests that the oil in bottles with this label is the first oil that came from the first press of the olives and that no heat is used. This is not correct. First of all, cold does not define any precise temperature. A certain exception is made for the European regulation which requires that the processing temperature be below 27 °C in order to be named cold pressed.[citation needed] In cooler regions like Tuscany or Liguria the olives collected in November and ground often at night are too cold to be processed efficiently without heating. The paste is regularly heated above the environmental temperatures, which may be as low as 10-15 °C, in order to extract the oil efficiently with only physical means. Olives pressed in warm regions like Southern Italy or Northern Africa may be pressed at significantly higher temperatures although not heated. While it is important that the pressing temperatures be as low as possible (generally below 35 °C) there is no international reliable definition of cold pressed. Furthermore there is no second press of virgin oil, so the term first press is meaningless.
- Q:i'm training for a profootball combine i want to get my 225 bench press stronger
- OK. Here's the deal. Whoever said you should probably concentrate on more than just the bench press is absolutely 100% correct. The bench press is important, but if you want to be as effective as possible in whatever sport (I assume football is the case here) you need to get stronger everywhere. That said, the comments already made are very good ones. Generally speaking, to gain muscle mass (i.e. up your max) the best way to go is high weight and low reps. For endurance the opposite is true, low weight and high reps. Both are important. This is one reason why I advise to cycle your programs, say 6 weeks of endurance training and six weeks of mass training, then repeat. As far as concentrating on individual muscles, this is a good idea too. Biceps, triceps, deltoids, ect. But do not over look your rotators. Here is a great exercise for doing that free of charge. Grab a 5 lb weight in your right hand and lie on a bench on your left side. Rest the weight on your stomach, tucking your elbow such that it touches your right side (kidney area). Keeping your elbow touching your side, rotate the weight away from your stomach until it is pointing almost straight up in the air, and then back down to your stomach. Then do the same for your left arm. Trust me, it might feel a little weird at first but this will help. I would do about 3 or 4 sets of 10-15 reps. But always do a low weight. The rotator is easy to injure, so don't over do it.
