- You just kind of answered your own question. Free press and the freedom of speech are essential because democracy is founded on the idea of equality, and everyone being able to have a say in politics. If there was no free press, then the public would get a distorted view of events, and those in power could manipulate ideas in their favour, and essentially control the power. I think that basically a combination of two things would happen if information was not trustworthy: One, there would be an underground network of information and news flow that would reach the people dedicated to finding out the truth. This could eventually lead to a sort of rebellion. Two, people would think what is the use of caring, if the government will do their own thing anyway? and these people would simply try to make the best of it under whatever system they were stuck with. Little political interest, I believe, is not a tragedy, at least not now. It means that people trust their government, or at least that there is no crisis of legitimacy or no major concerns. Usually there is more involvement when things take a down turn, and people are not satisfied with the current government etc. For example, the last election generated way more interest than most.
- Q: What are some key features of self regulation (specifically to do with the press) that make it favorable?
- The freedom of the press is a paramount right, it cannot function under an external form of regulation. Why? Well, who would set the regulation? The government. The Press is called the Fourth Estate for a reason. If they are not able, for whatever reason, to report on the actions of the government then they are not able to fulfill their purpose. And what is the primary purpose of the Press? To serve as a check and a balance against the government. You can't have the fox guarding the hen house, it just won't work.

- Dumbells Dumbells Dumbells, lift using dunbells ONLY you'll see a huge difference. Dumbells isolate the muscle. Flat, incline and decline dumbell bench. Bench press with straight bar does not isolate and there's tricks you can use to get the weight up like bouncing the bar etc. If you do chest heavy on Mondays do a cutting routine on Friday or Saturday, cutting will sculpt your pecs. Like cable crossovers Fly mach. do 1/2 the weight double the reps. I had no pecs, now I have a chest plate! so I know this works great! Good Luck

- Q: I am having the hardest time getting my cookies right when using my press. I've got a really tasty recipe that works well in the press if I click the lever TWICE rather than just once. - I am a Pampered Chef consultant. A lot of the cookie press success is trial and error, but I have found that the temperature of the dough and the consistency of the dough make a lot of difference. If you think the dough is too thick, let it get a little warm or use less flour. Do the opposite if it's not thick enough. I have a flyer of helpful hints that I give to anyone that orders a cookie press from me. If you would like to have that, I can e-mail it to you. You can e-mail me through my profile and I'll send it to you. As for the two clicks - have you tried doing one and a half clicks? I do that a lot with mine. - I pressed a bunch of my pigments. Put the quarter behind the fabric and press onto the pigment mixture. The cloth will get slightly damp, that's ok, that's just the alcohol being absorbed. Give it a couple of presses, really hard, and lift up the shirt and quarter and voila! You now have your very own pressed pigment eyeshadow! Don't worry you wont ruin it. It will make it less powdery and it will be easier to use. happy pressing!!
