- Q:I use concealer and foundation...the trublend by covergirl...but i find that when i use the pressed powder on top of the foundation...or when ever i use it it gives me a powdery look...and it the right color...and everything... So is it necessary to use when you use concealer and foundation?
- no it isn't at all necessary unless you have oily skin then pressed powder would be advisable, but if its not foundation is enough if u want a more flawless finish give translucent powder a try only a small amount is needed
- Q:I've been trying to bulk up my chest lately and when i do barbell bench presses i feel the burn mmore in my triceps than anything...i am keeping my arms a bit more than shoulder width aparthow can i get a better burn in my chest like i can get with dumbell bench presses
- If you're certain that the posture is not the problem, maybe your pecs are more than strong enough for the exercise and you feel the effort in another involved muscle which is weaker.
- Q:I started doing a workout routine which has bench presses in it (I've bench pressed before) and I was wondering if bench presses would help increase the number of push-ups I can do. I've always been pretty weak on my upper body and it would be rare if you can see me do five push-ups perfectly without stopping.
- Bench Press *CAN* help if your muscles are that weak, but it's more like Press-ups help Bench Press, from my own personal experience, back when I could do 78 Press-ups I shot up in Bench Press strength
- Q:So, I'm thinking of buying one to use at work. There seem to be so many out there that I was wondering:1. What kind to get?2. Is there any difference in quality between a $10 one and a $20 one?3. Pros of using a press?4. Cons? ~~THANKS!~~
- 1. Bodum is a well known brand 2. Get a glass one. it's about 15-20 bucks. 3. Pros - taste 4. cons - clean up and the grind needs to be coarse. Your welcome.
- Q:Im English and everywhere i look in the English language says press up, so is there any differance to bench press and press up? Thanks for your help.
- i dont think theres any difference.
- Q:I am a little over 21 weeks pregnant and just recently felt the baby move on the outside of my belly pretty good...acutally starting on Friday we could feel the baby kick or move on the outside if I pressed in the area I felt the baby move. I find myself pressing down, not hard, more often trying to feel the baby move...am I doing any harm? I know this sounds like a dumb question but I am worried now because I haven't felt the baby move as much yesterday and into today and I am afraid now that someone is wrong. Help! Is it bad to press on the abdomen to feel the baby move? Can the baby be felt some days and not others at 21 weeks?
- Make sure you're being gentle and barely applying pressure, there is always the risk of dislodging the placenta which could lead to the death of the unborn or an emergency c-section. I'm not saying this to scare you but it's a real concern. That's why when babies that aren't head down when it comes to labor, most doctors won't attempt to try and move the baby because of that risk. I understand what you're saying, I have a 16 month old, but just pay attention and make sure you're not applying enough pressure to actually move the baby.
- Q:I was just wondering [roughly] how many mugs of coffee an 8-cup French press would make. I would only be needing it for myself in the morning but I fear a 3-cup might be cutting it close and even lack versatility.
- A french press is measured in espresso-sized (2oz) shots. If you have a 12-16oz mug, a 8-cup press will be perfect. I use a 12-cup press since my mug is 20oz. You can always fill it with less coffee water, so getting a bigger pot isn't bad.
- Q:I was curious, wanted to know. What is the best way to increase my bench press LBS.Besides actually bench pressing. Is there any other exercises i can train in, to give me more results.
- Basically by just adding small amounts of weight to your current bench press over time will help increase your bench press, push ups and dumbbells are good, but the slow and steady of increase in weights on your bench will give you the results you are looking for, you know nothing crazy, maybe like 5-10 lbs every week or two depending on your body.
- Q:im 14 and found a bench press in the basement. im going to start using itim 5'10-5'11 weigh about 200lbs and i have real good triceps
- should be able to bench is hard to say but I'll tell you man, starting regular resistance exercise right now is awesome at your age. It will stimulate hormone development and kickstart your body into making changes that could potentially last for many years. To be honest, I started at 13 and couldn't bench press 65 pounds. That was almost 20 years ago and I loved teh changes I made back then. Today, I'm a personal trainer and could probably bench press two of my 13 year old versions of myself without thinking twice. Have fun man.
- Q:I'm new at pressing my mac pigments. I recently bought a bunch of mac pigment samples. I have two of each color with eaxactly 1/4 tsp in each. I read that your supposed to press with 3/4. Is it okay to press with less than 3/4?
- Hi! Yes, definitely. You don't have to have exactly 3/4 tsps for it to work. 3/4 tsp might be the measurement needed to fill an eyeshadow pan, if that's where you're pressing your pigments. But then again, it's up to you if you want to fill the pan or not. You don't actually have to be very scientific about pressing pigments. Basically, keep dropping a few drops of 91% alcohol, mix it, and once it gets to the point that it's the the mixture holds/clumps together (you don't want it to be runny, and you'd know if it's still dry). If you put too much alcohol, you shouldn't worry b/c it dries up anyway. It just makes it hard to shape and press it. That's why the key is to put a few drops of alcohol at a time. There's really no exacty # of drops to # of teaspoons of pigments. I've pressed a LOT of pigments myself, and I don't even measure how much I use. Just be sure that after pressing it (press it firmly!), leave it open to air dry :)
