- First check with local law enforcement as to the requirements for an official press pass... you may only need to make your awn as a freelance photojournalist or you can Google IFPO and join them. They have various packages you can buy and they include official press badges for their members. I am a member since 1978 and have never had a problem. I have the cards hanging off my camera bag and I have a leather pouch for one to wear. I have also formed my own organization Orlando Freelance Photography PRESS club and we use our own, Some entertainment venues are restrictive and require you to have one of their press packets... it contains information on the event, restrictions and a press pass. You want it to say all area access as well as PRESS. They must contain a photograph of you and your signature. The local government here in Orlando do not require any official press pass. Some venues will require an assignment letter from your organization as well. IFPO will provide that as you will work for their magazine American Freelance Photographer. beaux
- Q: Do press have to contact someone to get on the red carpet or do they just show up with their camera's and accreditation? I have the press release for the premiere i just didn't know if i should let them know I'm coming to the premiere... thanks!
- Most red carpet events require press credentials, which means, in effect, that you need to get their permission first. The press credentials for each event are given out by the officials running the event. They are not general licenses or ID. On the press release, there should be a media contact phone number or email. Contact them and tell them you want to cover the event for your newspaper, magazine, blog, or whatever. If it's a relatively small event, and they are looking for as much press coverage as they can get, they will probably get you a spot on the red carpet. If it's a major event, that the press is hungry to cover, then space on the carpet will be limited, so they will be more particular, and are less likely to let small media outlets in.

- Pressing on the Carotid arteries is dangerous because it can stop, or fatally slow someones pulse. As an emergency department worker, I have seen nurses and doctors push on the Carotid arteries of patients whose pulse was in the 200+, causing their pulse to drop to 100 or 90 sometimes lower. I would not recommend doing it!
- Q: Im looking for the best drugstore pressed powder to use but it has to be available in a very very pale shade and it must be finely milled!Suggestions?
- pale pale like goth pale? if so, try manic panic or MAC i like maxfactor facefinity? it doesnt come in many shades but the 01 is fairly pale. it is pressed and i think it's the best one as its quite thick (you dont need foundation under it) and stays on your face pretty good and doesn't look too powdery and fake. if you want to look pale tho, try using a concealer/highlighter thats 2 shades lighter than your skin tone or try bb cream, that makes your skin look lighter and you can buy ones that actually make your skin whiter, lots of asians use it.
- Q: my ex had helped me get a phone under contract through her name. Now i told her that i would pay it as long as i had it and i made sure she could pay it if she had to take it back. so I was planning on keeping this phone for awhile and make payments on it. Well out of nowhere her parents want it back and my paycheck had to go to my new phone instead of paying off the one i had. - Not a criminal issue- this is a civil issue. It would likely go to small claims court. Sounds like a verbal contract to me...
- Q: I have been a Plate maker in offset printing for 5 years and ran a digital press for a year is this Flexo press hard to learn and understand? What does the assistant press man do on a Flexo graphic press? Any info would help. Thanks.
- I am a former 4/color stripper, cameraman, platemaker. This is how it was done before computers. I have some knowledge of computerized stripping. I have been in the business for over 30 years. An offset press is an offset press. They all operate pretty much the same way. With water and ink. Flexo printing is done for labels that are put on bottles. Believe it or not the image is distorted in prep. This is because the label wraps around a cylindrical or somewhat cylindrical container. Believe it or not the distorted image comes out looking right because of the shape of the container. An assistant pressman's responsibilities will vary from shop to shop but you pretty much are helping fill ink fountains, putting up paper, hanging plates, setting color, and you get to wash up the press among other things. It has been awhile but I do miss it. If you are good you can write your own ticket to a certain extent. I am older now and it was kinda fun thinking about this. I hope at least some of this helps. - Q: Ok I will be 16 in March here(today is 2/16/09), I'm 5'11-6'0(somewhere between there) and weigh 161 ilbs and I can bench press 185 ilbs.
- Three things that need to be taken into consideration your age, height, and body type, not given. 161 lbs is not bad if there is no fat involved. However, if you are trying to get rid ofbaby fat it is best that you press lighter weights doing more reps so as to burn fat.
- Q: I'm in Girls weights and I can barely bench the 45 pound bar. I can do like 3 reps and then my arms give out. (we do a total of 5.) I can squat 95, incline press 35 and hang clean 35. I really need to be able to bench the 45 pound bar. Thats like the minimum weight for my class. Any tips on building up the muscle fast or something?
- you can do bench press type exercises using 2 dumbells a little less than the 45lb weight of the bar then build up your strength
