Q: Do you know of any device or method to keep a button pressed? I'm talking about real life - physical - buttons of electronic appliances, not buttons of software applications (since these are the only results I find in Google).
Tape or a weight. If it has to stay pressed permanently, JB weld a bolt onto it and let it dry, then put nuts on it until it's heavy enough to hold it down ( only if tape won't work ). The absolutely permanent solution is to open up the device, find where the button is, and use a bit of solder to short the button on the PCB. Electrical tape works, but so does a hammer. I've occasionally actually used a hammer carefully balanced on a key to keep that key pressed for awhile. But I highly recommend tape as the least destructive solution. Q: I would like to press a purple carnation I got 3-4 days ago. I would prefer to press it onto just a piece of normal printer paper. What would be the best way to press my carnation (w/out getting any books dirty!)? I've never pressed a flower before, so I need all the details - should I cut off them stem, should I press the flower on its side or on its center, etc. Thank you (and yes, I will be marking someone as having the best answer - 10 points baby!) And yeah, I know this is a weird question :P
I have pressed flowers in the past with good results. Copy paper will do. You can either trim some of the stem or leave as is (as long as it's manageable). Place it on its side between two sheets of copy paper and place something heavy on top. I would suggest to use something like a manila folder on top the copy paper---then put a book on top or something else that's heavy. Leave it undisturbed for awhile. I am not sure at least a month---maybe more. I still have pressed flowers that I have had for 10+ years. Good luck!
Q: im 14 years old. i had acne since i was 12 but it was never thatbad. my face is really clear now since ive been using proactiv :] but if i start using press powder will i start getting pimples again? will people notice when i use it when im not using it?is MAC the best press powder? how much does it cost?please give me good answers , thank you =]
it is about $20-$30 for a MAC pressed powder..I always used MAC but I think now I like Prescriptives better...it is much more expensive but it is worth it....since you are young you probably cant afford something that expesive so when I was young I wore Covergirl pressed powder it worked very well....plus it is affordable you can get when your parents take you to the store...your face will NOT break out
Q: Do press have to contact someone to get on the red carpet or do they just show up with their camera's and accreditation? I have the press release for the premiere i just didn't know if i should let them know I'm coming to the premiere... thanks!
Most red carpet events require press credentials, which means, in effect, that you need to get their permission first. The press credentials for each event are given out by the officials running the event. They are not general licenses or ID. On the press release, there should be a media contact phone number or email. Contact them and tell them you want to cover the event for your newspaper, magazine, blog, or whatever. If it's a relatively small event, and they are looking for as much press coverage as they can get, they will probably get you a spot on the red carpet. If it's a major event, that the press is hungry to cover, then space on the carpet will be limited, so they will be more particular, and are less likely to let small media outlets in.
Q: I was really bored in the weekend and decided to press some flowers from my garden, i put a few fuchsia, pink rose petals, orange rose petals, and an array of leaves i found in the garden, i put them in an heavy book with my dads lifting weights, i checked them yesterday and the fuchsia are brown, is this normal? anyway, i want to make a picture out of this, any ideas, i want to frame it in my living room, will it last?
You can't press roses because they crumble. You can dry them out and thats it. You can press posies, asters, and carnation petals but not roses. You can press leaves, pine needles and seed but not roses. Now forget about pressing those roses and go do the dishes.
Q: what do people think of loreal true blend pressed powder?
My friend uses it and to be honest it looks very cakey on her.
Q: Im looking for the best drugstore pressed powder to use but it has to be available in a very very pale shade and it must be finely milled!Suggestions?
Maybelline okorder for make up reviews and to see what other people have to say about different drug store powders.
Q: um well short storie i need a press code
a press code is a code you get from advertisements to get a bonus on a game. look up press code for the game and u will find them
Q: I am a freelance writer and I want to be professional when conducting interviews. I do have business cards that I had done stating that I am a freelance writer, yet is that enough? Should I produce my own press pass for credential purposes? If so, how and where can I get one?
In the old days, you could buy a press pass from various companies advertising in the back of the writer's magazines. Now, of course, you can buy a $15 laminator at OfficeMax and call yourself whatever you like. But that only gets you so far. Most press passes have authorization information on them, a contact someone can call to verify that you're really on an assignment. Many events also require you to pre-register to get their press credentials. I suggest you also consider having some contact cards printed up (VistaPrint does some nice work) ... these can be presented to those you meet, greet and interview to convey the image you desire. When I meet someone I hand them one and identify myself as writing an article for the local newspaper rather than being from the local newspaper. Good Luck.
Q: 6th grade girl basketball coach, were going to be playing alot of teams that press alot and i need a easy press breaker for these girls cause we were put into the league late and dont have alot of time to work on it from what little i seen on acouple of teams play last year they play alot of man to man full court with an occasional double team.one advantage i got is i can have 3 or 4 descent ball handlers at the same time.but if i can countinously beat their press and force them to try to slow the game down i can put my best player in,shes hefty but a muscle inside we can shut from outside with no fear cause she boxes out so well shell get the rebound and in result give us 20 pts a game but shes so hefty she cant handle the fast pace game so please help me come up with a soluton thanks
My team used a very easy press break. It's a bit hard to explain, but when it comes together, it works like a dream. - First, you have two players on either side of the court, waiting for the inbound. - Once inbounded, the Passer, steps into the center of the court. - They pass amongst themselves till they find an opening in the press. - Meanwhile, there are two other people standing at about midcourt, on both sides. - The person at midcourt standing opposite the side the ball is on will run to the middle of the floor looking for possible passes. - If the ball is passed to them, he/she can either bring the ball up more or turn, and pass to the opposite side. Press is broken. Sorry, it's very hard to explain. Down below, I made you a picture to illustrate what I mean. X's are your team. Dotted lines are passes being made, and Solid lines are Where the players move. Hope this helps. I deserve the best answer because I drew you a diagram.
