- Q:ok so i shoot a lot ammo aint cheap and i'm planning on getting all the things i need to start reloading. i've been doing some research on it it seems like something i would really enjoy doing but i need to find out more before i start shelling out $$$. when you buy a press do you have to buy dies made specifically for that press or will any dies work?
- You should pick up a reloading manual (book) and start studying! There are several types of presses and yes there is a set of dies for each caliper that come in sets. Your load and how you load will depend on what you are shooting and how you intend to shoot it. Education keeps you smart, prevents injury and damage to your weapon. Think about it!
- Q:Help! I've been stuck benching 140lbs for a good 1 month. I try overloading but it has not worked because I would just get tired. I'm 15 years old, 5'3 and weigh 105lbs. Is it because of my weight? My height? Or is it because I have adapted to bench pressing that it has no effect on me? I have mostly been working on my Fast Twitching Muscle Fibers. Maybe this is the cause of my plateau.I'm willing to switch to endurance exercises to improve my Slow Twitching Muscle Fibers but I'm not sure if this will help me break my plateau.Any advice will be appreciated.
- Hitting a sticking point on your bench press typically has nothing to do with your chest muscles. The supporting muscles of the shoulders are weak, causing your body to stop muscle growth of your pectorals(major and minor) to avoid injury. Another common reason for a plateau is an imbalance. I assume you use a bar for your bench press. The disadvantage to this is your strong arm(typically your right arm) can lift a greater percentage of the total weight. This naturally causes one side to become stronger and the body, again, will shut down chest growth. I recommend using dumbells for your chest routine this will avoid the imbalance and additionally will hit stabilizer muscles in the shoulder. Now, let's work on those shoulders. The front head(like it says the muscle in front) of your shoulder connects to your pectorals. Strenghtening this muscle will get you over this sticking point. I recommend front shoulder raises, overhead press(with dumbells, you should know why now), and side raises. These exercises with strenghten those weak muscles and you'll get past this plateau in no time. Hope this helps, feel free to email me with any other questions. - Alternatively you could opt for the fruit press version that doesn't include an apple grinder but is still sturdy enough for apples. With that you would just have to crush the apples manually. A single-tub press would be perfectly adequate and produce a fair amount of juice for personal use! Good luck!

- should be able to bench is hard to say but I'll tell you man, starting regular resistance exercise right now is awesome at your age. It will stimulate hormone development and kickstart your body into making changes that could potentially last for many years. To be honest, I started at 13 and couldn't bench press 65 pounds. That was almost 20 years ago and I loved teh changes I made back then. Today, I'm a personal trainer and could probably bench press two of my 13 year old versions of myself without thinking twice. Have fun man.

- On the face of it, the press is depressing because it reports bad news far more readily than good news. Earthquakes, murders, crashes, rapes etc as well as government weaknesses sell papers! HOWEVER this kind of news is not really depressing : quite the opposite : it cheers people up : they love reading about other people's misfortunes and criticising the govt. Communist regimes deplore negative reporting and give the readers only up-beat news, esp about their own achievements. This sounds healthy, but amounts to suppression of press freedom, which is an essential component of individual freedom.

- You need to go through with the charges. It is through the grace of God that you are still here as your girlfriend's ex could have killed both of you. Tell the cops that you are being pressured into not going through with the charges. The police will set your girlfriend and his mom straight. By the way, the only effective help this jerk will get is if he is imprisoned and has to face the consequences of his behavior. If he is allowed to get away with it once again, he is apt to kill someone. As for how long he will get...that depends on his previous record (if any) and any mitigating circumstances. I wouldn't worry about it though. You are lucky to be alive and this guy's behavior is criminal. Jail is where he belongs. Good luck and God bless.

- Q:I am required to collect and press a variety of plants for a plant identification course that starts in the fall. The instructions say to change the inter-leafing paper after 24 hours, but it doesn't say how long they ultimately need to stay in the press. Can you help? Thanks in advance!
- It depends upon how many plants, humidity and if you are using gentle heat to speed the drying. In dry environments, thin tissues will dry in a few days. If you have high humidity and lots of fresh plant materials, it could take a lot longer. I would change the blotters every 24 hours if you have lots of plant material to press.
