- Q: ok..so me and my bf or ex or whattever, have been together adn living together for 4 in a half years. the past 3 weeks we have been broken up with he has not evicted me at all. lately we were getting along and then last night i came over to get some stuff and he flipped ...he called the cops saying i tried running him over and the car i am driving is getting re po soon and i wouldn't return it. - the police would have written down all the information, wether or not he decided to press charges. if he isnt pressing charges, then the cops wont do anything but the police report will still exist. if he does, then he's gunna have a hard time coming up with evidence and witnesses to back up his claim. i think that depending on how you play it out in court, the judge should favor your side. if the car was in fact supposed to be repossessed and you left with the car, that could be motive for him to make up a lie in order to get back at you for taking the car.
- Q: I can curl 85lbs on a preacher table, squat 250, 75lbs skull crushers, leg press lbs, but for the life of me I can't bench 160+lbs I don't know why? I'm 26yrs old, 215lbs. I take pre-workout energy drinks, whey protein 2-3 times a day, and nitric oxide pills. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week up to 3 hours. All forms of bench pressing incline, flat, decline. - You can't put balance aside, because that's the very thing that separates the two. And your muscles definitely know the difference. The bench press is a free weight exercise, and any free weight exercise is more effective in building muscle for two reasons. One, because it incorporates stabilizer muscles to assist in the movement, meaning more muscles being worked. Two, because the human body responds better to movements it would do naturally. That last part basically means your body grows better when subjected to something heavy, rather than machines, which are merely hard. This isn't to say that you should give up the machine, and it certainly isn't for wusses. Machines force proper form, and isolate the muscle you are trying to work. Do the bench press first in your workout, and the machine press toward the end, when you're tired.

- Maybe in how long it lasts but not in how good the coffee is. Personally, I recommend buying glass (not plastic) but you can get a fairly cheap one that works fine.

- Both work the same target muscles. The chest press does alot of the stablising for you so not as many assistant muscles are used. The bench press is a progression of the chest press. When you are able to use the chest press and maintain perfect form then you are ready to progress to the bench press. Because you need more stability when performing a bench press it will be harder and you should find that you can not lift as heavy at first. If you have not used the bench press before start light and make sure you have someone to spot you. Once you have mastered the bench press you can progress to a dumbell press and then to a single arm DB press.

- Bench press, by far. You need heavy weight, low rep range for significant gains.
- Q: I wanna know from the people who know about lifting what reverse grip targets more off. People have told me triceps but I know that is if you have a close grip of about 12 inches. - Here is a list of each muscle group and the best movements to do for each. Ensure that these are included in your program - and that you are lifting within the 5-8 rep range with max effort and you will be sure to start seeing good muscle growth. Note though that you are to only choose one or two exercises for each muscle group as doing more than that will be too much volume for most people and overtraining could set in. Quads -squats, lunges, split-squat, deadlift (with knees bent) Hamstrings -romainian deadlift, one legged deadlift, deadlift with feet placed upon a 2-3 block (toes should be on the block with the heel still on the floor) Chest -regular bench press, closed grip bench press, include bench press, decline bench press Back -bent over row, horizontal row, close grip row, reverse grip row, pull-ups, lat pull-down Shoulders -military press, dumbbell shoulder press, behind the neck barbell press Abs -hanging leg raise, plank while balancing arms or feet on a medicine ball, leg raises (ensure the back is kept flat on the floor at all times)
- Q: Help! I've been stuck benching 140lbs for a good 1 month. I try overloading but it has not worked because I would just get tired. I'm 15 years old, 5'3 and weigh 105lbs. Is it because of my weight? My height? Or is it because I have adapted to bench pressing that it has no effect on me? I have mostly been working on my Fast Twitching Muscle Fibers. Maybe this is the cause of my plateau.I'm willing to switch to endurance exercises to improve my Slow Twitching Muscle Fibers but I'm not sure if this will help me break my plateau.Any advice will be appreciated.
- Well if you're trying to beef up you need to eat more protein. If you're not a big eater then eat your three meals a day and snack on protein bars. As for the plateau just take a break from bench pressing like for a week then go back at it. Doing the same thing causes muscles memory. If you're looking to increase strength then try resistance training for a while then go back to bench pressing that way you don't fall into a plateau. Resistance training is a little more work on muscles so you probably want to start with less then 140Lb of resistance. Switch your workout up this will help keep you from the plateau effect.
