- Q: Can somebody tell me about the invention of printing press and its impact on human society?
- Johannes Gutenberg (time magazines man of the millenium I believe) created the printing press. This is true but, be very careful because history is never so clear when you are learned. The Chinese invented movable type around 400 B.C. You can say this was an independaent invention but, even reliable sources get this wrong. The invention of movable type made it so books and journals could be made instead of hand copied, Can you imagine? Writing all of that stuff instead of using a printer. This made people smarter because they now could get copies of books and newspapers. edit* as you notice not to undermind anyone but, the poster below me got it wrong. The Chinese did not have a printing press they had movable type a distinction to be made. If you want sources edit your question, ask and you will get them. I believe this might be just SS homework however so unless requested I won't bother. It is interesting though b/c I corrected my University on this very topic! They made a display in the library and I told them they needed to be more careful after much consideration and chasing down referrences they told me they would change it (I always thought they should have given me some meaningless reward but oh well).

- A blog goes out to the world. Anyone can look at it. A press release is written and sent to newspapers and magazines. It is written to promote a person or a company. Newspapers print them on slow news days to fill up the pages. They also spotlight community members who might have done something good for the city.
- Q: so which bench press will help give you the most strength in your chest? could you also tell me how to combo them in a workout, like flat to decline or decline to incline.
- Thers absolutely no right or wrong way to combo bench presses! actually the more you vary it the better! I guess the flat is the best for overall strength, but its good to mix it up and try different angles at which you put pressure on the pectorial muscle! This way you can keep track on prograssion in multiple ways! So just do whatever you want in which ever order, keep the body guessing! Also play around with the sets and reps im sure you can appreciate between buildin size and sterngth bit it good to vary it from now and again!
- Q: When i put on concealer can i cover with pressed powder instead of loose?
- Loose powder is preferable directly after applying foundation. It is ground finer than pressed and is made to melt into the makeup to help your foundation have longer wear with less shine. Pressed powder it great to touch up with later in the day. Or you can buy a pressed powder that has the coverage of a foundation. It shows cakey for the first few minutes and settles into a nice natural coverage. Hope this helps.....Good Luck!
- Q: What is the difference between bench pressing with a bar and benching with a machine? I use a machine and bench 180lb, but my friends tell me it's easier on a machine than it is a bar. I've done both at 160lb before and I don't notice a difference.
- When bench pressing with free weights, secondary muscles are involved in balancing the weight, where as with a machine, these secondary muscles are not involved. using a machine is fine, but in order to build greater density and strength, free weights can be a little bit better. Remember when benching with free weights, ALWAYS have a spotter!

- It'slike concealer in a powder form, press powder is what comes in a compact comes with a sponge or a puff its use to set makeup (foundation) u can wear it alone or w/ foundation u just pat it all over your face and neck to even out skin tone w/ a natural matt look remember pat it on don't rub it in or wipe it on you will rub off your foundation that's why it called PRESS POWDER
- Q: So I just recently discovered what loose eyeshadow (pigments) are and they do seem to give off an amazing vibrant colour. However, I've been thinking can you still get the same vibrant colour with a really good cream eyeshadow as a base (over primer) and then pressed eyeshadow on top?I've been thinking about getting NYX loose pearl eyeshadows however, the thing is I have a lot of pressed eyeshadow palettes already. So, I've been wondering if I were to buy a good cream eyeshadow, such as Maybelline Color Tattoo and use that as a base before applying the pressed eyeshadow, would I get vibrant colour as well?I've been reading up reviews and I think it does the same thing however, I'm unsure. Also, are loose eyeshadows (when applied with medium) as easy to blend as pressed eyeshadows are?Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
- Pressed eyeshadow is better . If you apply a good eyeshadow primer , pressed eyeshadow gives same effect . Loose eyshadow (pigment) are good for special occasion not for everyday . Apply cream eyeshadow dab pressed eyeshadow to give vibrant effect :)
- Q: Hi I wanna start working out because I wanna build my self image the problem is im a little nervous and shy about going to the gym because Im built like a twig so I was thinking about investing my money in a bench press would it be possible to build muscle with just a bench press??
- Yes you can build muscle with just a bench press but I would not recommend only doing the bench press. If you are planning on doing bench press make sure you moderate on days so you can relax your muscles, and new tissue can be built. Try to keep bench press to 2 - 3 days a week max. I highly recommend doing push-ups and sit-ups. They build your body, and even if you can't do many just start out slow. Then add more push-ups and sit-ups to your routine. If your nervous about going to the gym you could also just do the push-ups and sit-ups at your house.

- there is no private criminal prosecution in the u.s. If by press charges you mean notify police, your father is able to notify the police of anything that he finds interesting. Perhaps you are asking if talking dirty is a crime. It is not. Actually having sex with a child would be of interest to the police.
- Q: a few days ago i was racking up weights on the leg press machine but my gym teacher stopped me and told me that the leg press is bad for the joints and introduced me to the dead liftso im wondering:is the leg press really bad for the joints? (i was gonna leg press 3x my body weight,360 i weigh 120 lb, im dead serious! i cant gain weight for some reason :(,ps im not trying to brag))will the deadlift make a good substitution(for the leg press)?thanks!!
