Q: I'm looking for a dark green Oriental rug. The green should be a forest or emerald green to replace the previous rugs. Every time I look for these greens, I find various shades of sage, teal, seafoam, and olive. This is not what I'm looking for. It needs to be large (at least 8x10 feet), and be classy/fancy and durable enough to cover the wooden floor in the dining room. A floral or Asian print would be preferred. Best bet is to take your rug to a reputable rug dealer in your area. They will be able to identify the rug, determine age and origin, assess condition, recommend cleaning and preservation, and assess its' value. Good luck with your search for information.

If it is a loose layed carpet then flip the carpet over and cut a square out of the carpet big enough to remove the burn, next cut a piece the same size from the piece that you are going to use to fix, now place the piece in the hole making sure the pile stands up and lays down in the right direction, after putting in the hole rather then using an expensive carpet tape just duct tape it into place.
