The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. - Q:I recently got a engine block that looks great, 60k on it but I bought a new crankshaft, and upgraded engine parts. MY friend is telling me I don't have to get the block line bored, but to just replace the bearings...is that going to be a problem? new pistons, rings, seals, and crankshaft...used block. Of course I will get the cylinders done but is the main bearing re-bore necessary????thx
- A good machinist can check the crank bearing bore for alignment with a straight edge. You can also tell when disassembling an engine by looking at the existing bearings and their wear pattern. If the block is straight line boring is a waste of money and a possible new source of problems if it is done incorrectly. If you still have the bearings marked, line them up and look at the wear, if not have the block checked by an experienced machinist who already has plenty of work. Not always but many times line boring is an upsale for shops looking for more profits. It isn't needed very often.
- Q:Do cars have wheel barrens or wheel bearings?

- they both DO have the HPCR bearings. perhaps l missed something... don't the bearings remove from the reel in the same way? they change nothing as far as the rest of the parts, no? if they're sealed, that should make service even easier. although, you perhaps do make a point... if you can't readily lube the bearings and they SHOULD happen to fail for some reason, the replacement cost may be a bit much. should that ever happen, replace them anyway with the high performance ceramic ones. G: son, l ama disappoint.
- Q:Well, I was wondering: do all skateboard bearings have 2 sides? I looked at abec 7 or 8 bearings and they do not seem to have 2 sides? How do I know which side should i grease? - By sides, I assume that you mean the shields that are there to block dirt from getting in. Only one shield is needed. Some makers include both and some only one. (This applies to ABEC 7 or any other bearing) The one on the wheel side is not needed since no dirt can get in there except through the other side. You don't grease the shields. There is only one set of balls in the bearing and greasing from either side will do the same thing. ABEC ratings are meaningless for skate boards or inline skates. The ratings are for vibration and accuracy in high speed industrial machines. You can get ABEC 7 bearings that are garbage or non-rated (Bones, TwinCam, and ZeroDrag all make non-ABEC bearings as their top models) bearings that are extremely good.
- Q:Will the bearings rust if you wipe them with a paper towel?
- i've had the same bearings for about 5 years and the only reason why is because of my bearing protectors. i have never cleaned them but i need new ones now. i dont think you should clean them. you should probably buy bearing protectors and you'll be fine. my board has been waterlogged about 3 times and my bearings still survived because of the protectors. well gl skating

- Yes. You should dry off your bearings after a riding in the rain. You were better off buying 4 or 5 sets of Magic or MileHighSkate bearings for the same price. You can use certain types of lube to make your bearings pretty waterproof, mainly greases. Try using White Lithium Grease, Ballistol, Tri-Flow, Phil's Waterproof Grease, or 3 in 1 Lube. Do not use WD-40
- Q:I have a 100 dollar budget on either trucks bearings or wheels. I have been riding my long board for a while but I dont really know to much on how most of the parts work. I want my longboard to go faster and stay fast for a while without slowing down. Should I buy new bearings or trucks. I have a sector 9 bob marley pintail longboard with bone reds trucks. If I buy knew bearings or trucks do I have to buy new wheels as well. But If I had to pick either buying new bearings or new trucks which one would be best for my longboard. thanks
- If you have $100 you can seriously buy both. But if you are looking for longer roll time, bearings are what you need. NEVER SPEND A LOT OF BEARINGS!!! Bearings should never cost more than $15. If you get a good set of bearings and keep them cleaned and lubed when needed, there will be no difference between $100 bearings and $10 bearings. I recommend MileHighSkate or Magic bearings if you can get them. They are high quality and $9. If not, Bone Reds are easy to find, but arent as nice and cost $15. I also HIGHLY recommend you get bearing spacers. They are $5 and go inside your bearings and allow you to tighten your wheels all the way, giving you a smoother ride. You should also have speed rings too (those 8 rings that come with your current trucks). Trucks will not help you go faster.

- I think all of them are. For top performance some people put new grease on them every 2,000 miles which is about one year of raiding for an active rider.
- Q:Which method should be used for axial fixing of needle roller bearing in stamping outer ring?
- For the shaft, the bearing seat is fixed in the case, if the load direction remains unchanged, then take the shaft and cone fitting, the bearing seat and the outer loose. But the press pin of the outer ring is different. The outer ring and the bearing seat of the outer ring needle roller bearing must be tightly matched, or interference fit, because the roundness of the raceway of the outer ring can be ensured. However, another function of interference fit is to a certain degree of fixed outer ring. For needle rollers, most of them are sufficient. Do not forget the characteristics of needle roller bearings - they do not bear axial force. Then, when installing, can I use the seat block to limit the position? The answer was No. Please note the stamping of the outer ring bearing, both sides are asymmetrical. In order to fit the needle and cage, one lip of the outer ring needs annealing so it is very soft. Because it is very soft, so the installation of this side can not be pressed to the end cap or shoulder and so on. The correct installation method is the installation tool and do a simple calculation of some, there is no longer enough.
- Q:i have repaired the wheel bearings (outer) how do i do the inners?
- The older replaceable inner/ outer wheel bearings come in a box with the bearing and it's race that the bearing turns on. You need to replace both the race and bearing. The old races have to be driven out with a brass drift and the new races driven back in. Take the wheel to a shop and they will install the new races. You also will need a new grease seal on the inner bearing.
