The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. It is suitable for small section heght, or when the housing bore isnot used for raceway , this type is recommended to use .The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without fu rther axial location.
The draw up needle roller bearing generally takes its shaft diameter as the internal raceway .However , the proper LR type inner ring can be used in accordance with application condition.
The draw up needle roller bearing has two structures-with retainer and with full of needles. They are are divided intoopenend type and close-end type. The structure with retainer has the single seal ring and double seal ring .The structure with full of needles has a large load carrying capacity.

- z bearings. first clean them with goo be gone and then denature alcohal in a container you can shake em up real good. before cleaning take shields off. finish with two drops of bones speed cream. or get bones red bearings since they don't have that heavy grease in them.

- If the bearings are shot then, in all likelyhood, the rings and valves are at the end of their life, or nearly so, as well. I wouldn't invest the time or money required to tear the engine down without doing a complete overhaul. You have to tear it down anyway so you might as well insure that aomething else won't bite you in the rear and cause you to tear it down all over again in a few months. An old but good adage, If you're going to do something, do it right the FIRST time.

- Bones Swiss Ceramics are the best you will find. But it shouldn't really matter too much what bearings you get unless you get REALLY cheap crappy ones, then you may notice a difference.

- Bearings are the same unless you have 10mm axles. You would know this when you get the trucks. They use a different bearing, but the wheels are the same. Skateboard parts are standardized.

- If they feel rough, it is too late. Plan to do it once a year, more often if you ride a lot in the rain and dust. I ride 2-3k miles a year. If the ball or cones are pitted, replace them for a few bucks before the hubs get damaged. If you are not very concerned with top notch performance of your bike you can wait longer but a buck of grease can save you lots of grief.

- Q: I have a 2001 BMW 325i. I believe that we need to change the wheel bearing (passenger rear). You can check my other questions in case the diagnosis is incorrect...(help??)Does anyone have any diagrams, instructions on how to change them? Is it necessary to have them pressed on/off? (that would determine if I could do this at home or not.Please help, this is my sons car and he is in the military and doesn't have time or cash to spend on it. - You described the sound as something dropped and dragged? . A wheel bearing would usually make a growling sound, gradually get worse, and have to be really bad to lock up the wheel- unusual. Many BMWs with disc brakes in the rear had a separate parking brake which was a drum brake inside the brake disc. If it's rear discs, look for the parking brake cable. If the cable is attached to the brake caliper, never mind (I assume you've tried removing the caliper) If the cable goes inside the backing plate behind the wheel, you might try removing the brake disc and look at the small drum brake behind it. Replacing rear wheel bearings requires too many special tools and experience. I believe it'd be Independent rear suspension? You may be able to remove the swing arm and take it to the shop (save towing). Call ahead first - they may prefer to do it on the car. Cars with solid axles, the rear axle and backing plate usually is held on by four bolts on end of axle. It varies- repair manual helpful for that kind of thing.

- You can pull the bearings and take the numbers off of them or take the (cleaned up) bearings into any bearing retailer and get new ones from your favorite manufacturer. You don't need the part number, you need the bearing number. That number is universal and will get you the correct bearing regardless of manufacturer. Or you can go on over to the V-star forum and look through their archives - search for wheel bearings. I'm sure someone has the bearing numbers for your bike as well as special procedures to make it easier to replace the bearing on your bike. Each wheel set seems to have some special quirks to it.

- Check okorder . They'll have what you need if you can navigate your way through their enormous on-line catalog to find it. You'll need a credit card to place an order. These folks must be the world's largest engineering supply company. You want pillow bearings for a 3 5/8 shaft? They won't be cheap. Why would anyone want a closed end linear bearing -- sounds like an oxymoron. Seems I have more questions than answers.
