Q:the bearings are abec 3's and they just dont seem to go as fast as they used to. any suggestions on how to make them go faster?
Bones Swiss or sawblade bearings, tensor street bearings
Q:i have removed the rear wheel and centre cap do i need to remove the drum
The rear bearings are probably sealed units if it's a front wheel drive car. You will of course have to remove the drums, they should just come right off. zxc
Q:im thinking about buying bearings for my longboard. but idk there are open on one side are thay good .can some one help
If the bearings have shields on one side, put the shielded side facing outward. The friction between the wheel and the bearing will keep the majority of the dirt out. You will still need to properly maintain your bearings and keep them out of water. Shields don't keep out water. Swiss bearings are the best. My longboards have Pig Swiss in them.
Q:Convert bearings to azimuths?A) 195° 58' B)146° 11' C) 167° 23' d) 278° 59'and explanation on how to convert would help a lot too!
In marine navigation, a bearing is the direction one object is from another object, usually, the direction of an object from one's own vessel. In aircraft navigation, a bearing is the actual (corrected) compass direction of the forward course of the aircraft.
Q:How do you find bearings?
Either at a bearing shop or with a compass
Q:i was skateboarding today and i wondered why the wheels didnt spin very long.
DON'T USE WD40!!!!!!!!!! DON'T TAKE YOU'RE BEARINGS APART!!!! WTF SERIOUSLY?!!! WD40 gives you a nice little boost for a minute then all the grit and dirt from the floor makes a nice slushy mess inside your bearings and it deteriorates them and makes them a lot slower so never put WD40 ANYWHERE near your deck. Don't take your bearings apart. when they're made they're nicely sealed so that dirt can't get inside and there is a special oil added to reduce friction and that should never be washed out. If you need fast bearings buy some Bones Reds or Swiss they're by far the best bearings going or if you need to improve yours use some speed cream. You're skate dealer should have some but if not you can get some off the internet for like $5 Just remeber the main rule. NEVER USE WD40!!!!!!!
Q:recently went to tire discounters to get some new tires, and they told me both wheel bearings were bad and my tie rod end was bad? me being a diy'r on most car things i said ill fix em, but they refused an alignment til my problems were fixed, though the wheel bearings aren't making any noise yet, i figured i would change them once i had the extra money to pick up a press and the bearings and shims i may need to press it in, if i replace just the tie rod end will they be able to align my car?
As only one other person said, yes you can align a vehicle with shot bearings or steering system, though once you drive off it'll through everything off again resulting in you wasting money. You don't have to buy a press, any local parts store Napa/Autozone/etc. will have one you can rent. Once you replace the tierod ends and the bearings your car won't be as suicidal which in my books is a good investment.
Q:when should i buy new bearings? i've had modus titanium for a year now should i buy some new bearings?
If you see they stop after 2sec then your bearings needs to be changed as soon as possible but if they are slower you should clean them up with gasoline or lubricant I think that good skate board bearings will last maybe 8 or 9 month if you take care of them properly means cleaning them at least every two weeks.
Q:I'm in alot of downhill skating events but no wins. What bearings could i use that are the fastest in ur opinion and name them all i use are redz bonez.
pop the grease covers off---rinse them out---leave the covers off---a light squirt of w-d-40---or lps,,,they were out faster--but give it a try----good luck,,,,,,idea-----take a set of wheels and put them on a metal lathe----go to a bigger size bearing that has the same I-D,,
Q:Was recently told by a friend that my front two wheel bearings needed replaced (actually, that the wiring for them was pulled right out of them - which in an 99 Alero requires replacing the entire system) after an ABS light had been on for quite awhile in my car. Furthermore, he suggested that I also needed to replace a pigtail in my car - though I do not know what that is (anyone know?). He quoted me a $750 price tag on the deal and being our friend, we assume that we are getting some sort of labor deal as well - but checking it out we found some sort of pigtail online but it was only $10. With $190 for each wheel bearing that should add up to only $390 + tax so we were a little confused. Can anyone explain what/how much a pigtail is actually worth and what would be a right price on this fix with without labor? I realize prices are slightly different all over the world - so if it helps, this is in Ohio in the States. Much appreciative!!!
your best bet is to call your local auto dealer (such as Pep Boys) and ask them for a price on parts and labour make sure you give them vehicle details - such as - the make model - year - engine size - transmission type (auto or manual) - if your vehicle is front wheel drive or rear wheel drive - ask for prices on parts and labour to repair - wheel bearings for both front wheels - the bearings may be encased in the - hub - (some come separately - if this is the case - you're looking at labour costs to remove and install the new bearings IF they go into a Hub) - also grease seals as well - and (if the bearing is sold separate from the hub - you will need wheel grease) as for the pigtail - it could be any one of the connectors on your vehicle's electrical system - for most part - it's usually what the side marker lights plug into BUT - it may be a connector used in ABS wiring - and it may be the pigtail that plugs into the ABS in behind the wheel - that needs replacing (it's difficult to know exactly which pigtail your friend is talking about) parts can be pricey check around and compare prices at a few of the auto stores in your area
