Q:where can i buy furnace inducer motor bearings?: Contact the manufacturer. OR google the make and model number. See if you can come up with some technical data or a parts list. If you can find it there you might be able to find what you're looking for. Now, lets be reasonable; I don't think you're going to find bearings for an inducer motor. And if the bearings are shot then you might just want to get a whole new inducer motor rather than trying to rebuild the one you have. Hope this helps. 'av'a g'day mate. '')

Q:4-ball bearings that i modded myselfhere's the link:: Basically, you've just reduced the load that the bearing can carry by about 50% and subjected each individual ball to almost double the force it originally carried. Yes, the reduction in the number of balls will cause the bearings to spin faster without a load, but since there are fewer balls and they are not evenly distributed, the outer races could distort and cause the bearing to become out of round. Basically you will have to replace the bearings more often, negating savings that the reds will give over better performing bearings.

Q:It kinda makes a humming sound from the front end: Ball bearings?? There are no ball bearings in the front end of a Ford Explorer, or any other car for that matter. Most cars use tapered roller(drum)bearings. They usually run 10-25$ per side, plus 5-15$ for new seals to put around them. Grease will be about 10$ for a can of good stuff. Do it yourself and save some money on the labor.

Q:This makes no sense to me...you put a little grease into a bearing cap, the bearings are looser, and they run better. Heat down.So you put in a lot of grease they should be too loose or run too slick. But that's not what happens in real life. Instead, they overheat. Why on Earth would they overheat? It's not like they are lacking needed air to cool down. Can anyone explain?: When you put grease into bearings (cone and cup of a ball or roller bearing set) it does not change the tolerance of the bearings, i.e., make them looser. The grease fills the voids between the moving parts and takes up the tolerance with grease. If bearing tolerances are too great, or the bearing lacks sufficient grease, then differential loading will cause some parts to have significantly less tolerance than other parts and there will be points of excessively high load in some areas of the working parts. This will create excessive friction and heating.

Q:i noticed a kind of humming noise coming from the front of the truck, my gut reaction is its the bearings going out. if i remember correctly its a pretty straight forward process.1. remove wheel2. remove caliper3. remove the bearing cap4. remove the spindle nut5. remove rotor and replace bearingspretty sure thats the sum of it, but do any you need any special tools? its been a while since i've done any bearing work and now i at college at my tool arsenal is basically limited to a 100 or so piece craftsman set.: You'll need a brass punch. The oil seals bearings come out easy enough but use the brass punch to knock out the races. The new bearings will come with new races. An arbor press is best to press in the new races but you can use the brass punch and carefully tap them in making sure they go in straight and evenly as you gently tap all around them in. Take your time and make sure the races are bottomed out. Pack bearing grease into the bearings before installing them. Hope this helps.

They are called Non-contact rubber shields. it seems like for some reason they Are coming in contact with the bearing, what should i do?: Sounds like you bent the shields when you inserted them, or put them too far in. The shields should be flush with the edges of the bearings. This is assuming that the bearings spun without the shields. You did remember to not use water-based cleaners on the bearings?
