HK Seal/close type Drawn cup needle roller bearings HK :

1.The drawn cup needle roller bearings are needle roller bearings with the deep drawn, thin-walled outer ring with either an open end or closed end.

2. The bearings are characterized by a very low sectional height and high load carrying capacity

3. The bearings are typically used in applications where the housing bore can not be used as a raceway for a needle roller and cage assembly but where a very compact and ecnomical bearing arrangement is required.

4. Typically, drawn cup needle roller bearings have a single row of rollers. However, wide sizes incorporate two needle roller and cage assemblies immediately asjacent to each other with a lubrication hole in the outer ring.

Product Applications:

Needle roller bearings are mainly used in car engines, transmissions, compressors, cranes, etc.

Q:So i recently got a new engine and tranny for my 1992 honda accord. (engine swap h22a) runs great. but i noticed it makes a loud humming noise after i release my foot off the pedal. This happened i THINK before i got the engine swap too. but that was like 2 years ago so i dont really remember. it was sitting in my driveway for about 2 years. my new mechanic says its the wheel bearings. The engine and tranny r fine and run and shift well but even if im going 30, or 70, when i take my foot off the pedal it goes....huummmmmm, going down. Humming decreasing. He heard it and said the front wheel bearings need to be replaced. What do you think? thanks.
It may be something more serious like a rotor which if you drive it and it gives out it'll be a bad accident. So try not to drive it to much.
Q:My car has no oil pressure and they said I need a pump and main and rod bearings. Can I just replace the pump? Or can you tell the bearings are shot by just hearing it?
Bad rod bearings can be heard and replacing the oil pump is recommended but not required. But before doing the work, it might be wise to price a salvage yard engine. This is because the rings, valves and other parts will need to be done next. True it will not have new bearings, but if you don't plan on owning the car for more then a year or two, it might be the wiser move. If you plan on owning the car for sometime, just get the engine rebuilt completely. Other wise it will just be one engine repair after another.
Q:got a subaru outback 97, 174k is great all round except for is making whump whump noise that gets faster as car speeds up, squealing noise coming from wheels not assciated with braking or acceleration. it gets wobbly if the car gets to 70mph and when you reverse it makes a grinding noise. also in low gear it clatters from the engine somewhere, but stops doing that as soon as car is going and warmed up.anyone know whats happening, how much do you think it'll cost to fix if you do?thanks,
That's what it sounds like, a bad wheel bearing. It's been bad for a while and I believe it is so loose you are damaging other parts in the wheel. Impossible to give a quote until it's seen the extent of damage.
Q:The question is For e.g. S47 °W ^How do I convert that to a true bearing??
Bearings are usually measured clockwise from true north, so S is 180°, and W is clockwise from there, so we would add 47° to 180° to get S47°W has a true bearing of 227°.
Q:I want to ride in the rain and not destroy my bearings, so should I get Bones Red Ceramics? They're a bit expensive, but oh well.1. How often do I have to clean them?2. For free-riding and downhill, should I switch to regular Red bearings?
do no longer trouble with ceramics, merely get some white lithium grease and coat the bearings in it. additionally, unfastened spin does no longer propose something. My bearings all spin for decrease than 5 seconds, does not trouble me any.
Q:are shortys black panther abec 7 good bearings and are they better than bones?
i had some panthers for my first set of bearings, and they were alright. u get what u pay for i guess. but my friend got a set of the bones reds (only like 17 bucks) and they WAY outlasted my panthers, and they were way quicker. but recently someone asked me what kind of bearings i ahd and i didnt even remember. i took a look and realized im still riding my lucky abec 7's from 3 years ago! i hadnt thought about em in so long cause ive enver had a break, and they all still run so fast and smooth. id definately reccomend my lucky 7's. if not, then pick up a set of bones super swiss 6. those things are amazing. or, if your in it for something cheap, look for some called filters ive only seen em at one shop, but everyone ive talked to thats had a set said they were the best.
Q:car has noise due to bad bearings
Front okorder go to their front page and fill out the from on the front. You are looking at $50 to $140 in labor, depending on where you go. If you are looking for tutorials on how to change it, I suggest googling how to change [front, rear] whee bearings I hope that helps!
Q:what is the typical repair cost for front wheel bearings in a 1990 toyota 4runner?
which part of the car are you talking about? the CV joint? does it knock when you turn left or right?
Q:All bearings are designed with tolerances to allow the moving parts to move, but how are wear limits determined? In other words, after time, the components will start to wear out and the bearing will become looser. Looking at some aircraft maintencance manuals, they provide wear limits in the radial and axial directions. But how are these wear limitis determined? Is there a particular calculation that is done or is an arbitruary number chosen?
General ideas only. In the case of journal bearings with forced lubrication (oil pressure), increasing clearance results in oil pressure drop. Ideally, journal bearings hold an oil film which supports the rotating shaft and minimizes metal/metal contact. Automobile engines run for hundreds of thousands of miles using this strategy. Radial ball bearings will tolerate excess clearance (depending on the load) but the shafts they support often will not. In cases where oil seals are used, excess shaft play damages seals and permits leaking. In the case of motor or pump shafts, bearing slack permits rotor/stator contact or impeller/involute contact. Rotating masses are never perfectly balanced or axially aligned. Bearing slack multiplies unbalanced force and consequent load.
Q:I need to change/ repack the wheel bearings but i've never done it before but I am mechanically inclined enough to do it. Just need to know if theres any secret steps to follow. Any info would be great!!!
packing bearing easy... you get a palm full and take the bearing big side down and push it in your hand little at a time a round the outer edge gap...til it pushes the grease out the other side..... kind of keep doing it til you see new grease and your done.... when you tap in the rear seal on the hub put a small amount in the hub between the bearing but you dont have to but it dont hurt too... when you tighten the outer nut is tight and then back off to fit pin thru hole your done.. fast way to get seal off is after you remove outer bearing put nut back on and give it a good tug most of the time the seal will pop right out
