- You can certainly do the majority of the labor and parts replacement. Any machine work to the crank shaft or connecting rods as well as any balancing that is needed will have to be farmed out to a shop that has the equipment needed to do that type of work.

- Bearings are the same unless you have 10mm axles. You would know this when you get the trucks. They use a different bearing, but the wheels are the same. Skateboard parts are standardized.

- Q: I took my 2001 lincoln ls V8 into get the engine checked it needs work done, which is expensive, which i knew it would be. They checked my front sway bar which is broken and needs replaced.. but they took it upon themselves to check all my wheel bearings, and they are now telling me i need to replace all of them! cause my bearings or hub is loose.....but i don't notice anything odd or any noise when i drive... they say it will cost almost 2400 $ to replace cause they have to buy the whole kit set up and cant buy just the piece.... does this have any truth to it? any advice is appreciated
- Wow that does sound like alot for some wheel bearings to tell you the truth they but for that ls I dont know they could cost a pretty penny and might take alot of work but I really never seen a wheel bearing that was hard to replace so go to your local parts store and price out wheel bearings and see what they come to

- hard to tell, I bet they are the same if you broke them in. It can take months of constant skating to break in a set of abec bearings. You never know what you're going to get with abec rated bearings because that rating doesn't mean anything for skate bearings only swiss does. Use some speed cream and break them in and you'll have some fast bearings.

- Q: I'm in alot of downhill skating events but no wins. What bearings could i use that are the fastest in ur opinion and name them all i use are redz bonez.
- The best bearings are ceramic for speed and durability in downhill racing. They are expensive, over $100 for a set. I use Pig Swiss bearings in my board and they work great. Just be sure to re-lube the bearings about every 8 runs.

- it really depends on how much damage is done. Axle Bearings. :Replacing bearings, axle, carrier and seals - $500 :just bearings and seals - $20 Front Wheel Bearings: :just both side bearings and seals - $30 Spindles, hubs. bearings and seals - $200 Swingarm Bearings: :Just beaings and seals - $25 :Swingarm, pivot bolt, bearings and seals - $500 Steering stem bearings :just bearings and seals - $15 :steering stem, bearings and seals - $200 the engine will be about $300 to sent out and have rebuilt by your local honda dealer. bearings are not something to put off, trust me, i know. if bearings wear out, they can destroys a lot of expensive parts, fast. be keep replaced often.

- I think this stuff should be fine, though I don't know if it will help speed up your bearings. I've used WD40 on my bearings before and it didn't seem to hurt, so you should be okay to put this stuff on. I would also recommend that you check in with a local skate shop and ask what they would consider before you put it on just in case.
