- Q: Okay, I have a 99 olds intrigue 3.8 with 100k miles. Recently, I started noticing a clicking noise when turning right. I replaced both CV axles, and it did not go away. This noise ONLY happens when the car is on the ground. it happens in neutral or drive, braking or no braking, and only happens when I trun right. Now, recently I noticed the car makes a horrible grinding noise when the wheel is LOCKED to the left under acceleration. (like making a U-turn). Could both noises be caused by a bad wheel bearing? or bearings?
- replace both wheel bearings, you figure, the car is resting on them, if they're grinding as you say they are you should feel a slight vibration in your gas pedal. for the clicking take it to a few shops see if anyone knows. after that i really don't know what to tell you.

- bones reds are faster, and lasted me longer than black panther did. theres a smiply reasoning behind this. Reds are made by Bones with speicallizes in skateboard bearings and makes the most top of the line bearings out there Black Panthers, made by Shorty's arent nearly as good quality as the majority of shorty's efforts go to things like decks bushings hardwear and bearings so they cant make them of such a good quality.

- Balls are headed so they are roughly round. They are then subjected to several hours of grinding in a batch. The grinding operation continuously makes then rounder, and rounder. It takes many hundred hours of grinding to completely finish a batch. The size of the batch is a function of the size of the balls.

- These are non-serviceable bearings. The shields are crimped on and can;t be removed. Once they need to be cleaned or lubed, they must be replaced. When you get new bearings,opt for ones with removable shields so they can be cleaned and lubed. Bones Reds are a good economical choice.

- you take s socket wrench and loosen the nut and take it off and take off the washer , than the wheel than the other washer . Don't lose ur washers !!! Do this to each wheel . Take about 8 Qtips or more or less depending on how dirty ur bearings are , take the Q tip and rub the dirt off of the bearing . Each side and in the insides .
