Drawn Cup Needle Roller Bearing :
The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. It is suitable for small section heght, or when the housing bore isnot used for raceway , this type is recommended to use .The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without fu rther axial location.
The draw up needle roller bearing generally takes its shaft diameter as the internal raceway .However , the proper LR type inner ring can be used in accordance with application condition.

- Q: I'm asking this because like every time I googled it, it came up with answers from like 2-3 years ago.. So basically I'm just wondering if it is still not good for them... Also I would like to know what cleaners i should use for mine, and types of lubricant.. Thanks so much.
- WD-40 is not a lubricant. It's a penetrant, usually for use for rusty bolds or hinges. You can use paint thinner to clean bearings and use light weight oil to lubricate them once they dry. Don't use too much oil or it will slow the bearing down and also attract dirt. Just a thin layer of coating on the ball bearings. If you want the service life longer you could also use grease to lubricate them, but it will slow it down, but offer more protection. It's up to you to choose between protection and speed.
- Q: (Forgive me I have no clue about vehicles, a friend of ours mentioned the bearings might be going out. I assume he was talking about the transmission) Is this a slow problem? Does it need immediate attention? Anyone know about costs? And if I am wrong about what I am asking please correct me.*2000 model
- Sorry but to give a diagnosis of your problem you will have to be a fair bit more specific. There are many parts ( and bearings ) on a car and to work out exactly what the cause is it is better to have someone actually look at it. If its a manual transmission my stab in the dark diagnosis is its a throw-out bearing located in the clutch assembly

- Clean with denatured alcohol - available at hardware stores Lube with Tri-Flow - bike shops and some hardware stores.

- Q: Revo S and Revo SX. Are they double shielded or single shielded? Or non shielded. I hate doing maintenance on reels that have double shielded bearings.
- they both DO have the HPCR bearings. perhaps l missed something... don't the bearings remove from the reel in the same way? they change nothing as far as the rest of the parts, no? if they're sealed, that should make service even easier. although, you perhaps do make a point... if you can't readily lube the bearings and they SHOULD happen to fail for some reason, the replacement cost may be a bit much. should that ever happen, replace them anyway with the high performance ceramic ones. G: son, l ama disappoint.

- What bearings? Wheel bearings are cheap and a DIY job. Engine/transmission bearings? They are more expensive and the labor to change them will run into the hundreds. Axle or steering bearings fairly cheap and yet another simple DIY job.

- I think all of them are. For top performance some people put new grease on them every 2,000 miles which is about one year of raiding for an active rider.

- the bearings are inside the wheel. depending on the abec rating depends on the speed. two bearings for every wheel and your set.
