Q: I am looking to purchase a new remote control as the one issued by my cable provider (comcast) is unable to control my new Memorex sound bar (Model: MIHTS3202) which is now controlling all my TV audio. Huge inconvenience to use two remotes, one for sound, one for EVERYTHING else. Can anyone recommend a good remote that will be able to control my Scientific America cable box, Samsung television, and Memorex sound bar? Just a few notes to keep in mind- I use the OnDemand feature a lot, so I need to be able to control play/pause/etc in that feature and. I'd like to keep the cost under $50 if that is possible! Thanks so much!
It will be more than $50 but the Harmony Logitech remotes are known to handle a huge number of devices. Mine is a few years old but it has the skip forward/back/pause/record/etc buttons to control our DVR. At one time it controlled our standard def Sat DVR and the HD cable box DVR as well. These remotes often have extra keys so you can assign one of these for your On Demand button. But they run about $120 - but well worth the price.
Q: Cable box scientific Atlanta explorer 4200Can I but this box anywhere including the card needed to use it? I’d really rather not have to rent a few of these from cablevision if I can get one straight out. They charge enough just for the channels and renting all the stuff needed is a killer if you can just buy a box or 2 and not pay monthly rental fees for them. I’m in NYC.

Q: I dont mean to be obtuse(no owners manual),but between the 3 levers on dash, cant seem to get warm air blowing for defrost,or thru vents,(just cool air )running car at idle.(2 ft of snow outside, car is in unheated garage. Thanks
As no one seems to have mentioned the obvious yet: The 3 levers on the dash merely control the vents and blower fan, not the heater; these must be used in conjunction with the heater control or you will only be working with air from outside or recirculated air from the car cabin. The dash controls - the top lever controls the inside/outside vent and the fan. The second lever directs fresh air flow from the foot wells or to the middle dash/door vents (or a mix of the two in the middle positions). The bottom level directs heated air to the footwell or the defrost openings (or a mix of the two in the middle position). For most defrosting you'll probably have everything far right. The next part of the equation is turning on the heater. From documentation I've read, most of these cars came with automatic heaters, though most I've personally been in and what I own has a manual heater. In either case you'll find the controls on the floor between the seats, right behind the hand brake. In the automatic heater, there is a dial that you simply to to select the temp simply turn this up and you should get your hot air. In the manual, the controls are in the same place, but you will instead have two red levers and a dial in the middle. The lever on the left will turn on the heat to the drivers side, and the right lever controls it on the passenger side. Pull both levers up and turn on the blower in the middle to get this going. If you have problems after this, simply try getting heat anywhere. In my experience the air cooled cars can get the heat going really well really soon after starting. If you are not getting any heat at all, then you may want to look at possible issues with the heat exchangers).
Q: Going to buy Dr. Dre Tour Headphones, just wondering if I should pay the extra $20 to buy control talk. Does anyone know what this means, and if it's worth it ??
You have put your question in the wrong category. Skullcandy gives you very poor sound quality. Reputable brands such as AKG, Audio-Technica, BW, Beyerdynamic, Denon, Etymotic, Grado, Sennheiser and Shure give you good quality music.
Q: There are many different types of cables on the cable tray, such as: 1. High-voltage power cable (hundreds of volts to .000 volts) 2. Low-voltage power cable (220V-380V) 3. Low-voltage electrical (control) cable (24V) 4 (Such as fiber, cable, etc.) 6. Ground cable I think the reason why the high-voltage cable on the top, because taking into account: the fire, reduce the risk of burning control cable, communication cable. But I do not know how the following cables are Such as control cables and communication cables can be arranged together? Will the grounding cable be at the bottom or below the power cable? Look advise! Question added: we can talk about why should the ground on the bottom of it? Not from the rules that, from the principle that! More
Consistency is what you write, the provisions of how to do, and you do, with the same, that is, product consistency confirmation, such as your cable used in the provisions of the copper specifications is how much, with which supply Business, in the time of the report is what kind of, when you do to confirm the time to correspond to the time of the report.
Q: If I hook my my tv with composite cables I can control the volume through the DVR box but not with the HDMI cable. Why?
Composite cables are controlling analog audio, Since the HDMI cable is digital it cannot control the analog audio, hence the HDTV is the only way to adjust the volume when connected via HDMI. It's kind of a toss up, sacrifice picture quality for volume control via DVR remote, or use two remotes. or you could spend some money and get a moderate to high end universal remote like a Logitech Harmony One. Another possible solution would be to hook up via Component connection if available. That way you can adjust volume via DVR remote without sacrificing picture quality since component, DVI and HDMI quality are all comparable.
Q: What is the difference between cable KVV and VV?
Differences: Making materials Different RVS wire making materials are polyvinyl chloride. RYS wire production materials are polyolefins. Introduction: PVC, English referred to as PVC (Polyvinylchloride), is vinyl chloride monomer (vinyl chloride) (VCM) in the peroxide, azo compounds and other initiator; or in the light and heat under the action of free radical polymerization polymerization From the polymer. Vinyl chloride homopolymer and vinyl chloride copolymer collectively referred to as vinyl chloride resin. Polyolefin: Olefin polymer. Α-olefins such as ethylene, propylene, 1-butene, 1-pentene, 1-hexene, 1-octene and 4-methyl-1-pentene, and certain cyclic olefins The general name of a class of thermoplastic resin
Q: I use a HD DVR - Comcast cable, all premium package, all the channels plus internet and phone.

Q: I want to install a fan with dimmable lights. I don't mind a standard wall switch (on-off). What I want is to have a remote control so I can control the lights separate from the fan. The ceiling box only has black and white cables. Will it be possible to have this done or do I have to run a red wire down to the switch? Thank you.
If you use a remote control then all you need are the black and white wires in the ceiling box. Most fan and home stores sell the remotes. They have a unit that mounts in the fan canopy with an input which connects to the wires in the ceiling box and has separate output wires for the fan and the light fixture. The local unit which you can lay on a table or hang in a bracket on the wall communicates with the fan mounted unit to control the fan speeds and the brightness and on/off features of the light.
Q: I recently acquired a cable box along with the remote controller. I have cable and I have another legitimate cable box that was installed by the cable company. The one that the cable company installed looks to be identical to the one that I recently acquired in another way. The problem is that when I plug in the newest cable box I get no picture on the TV but I do get a msg that says ONE MOMENT PLSE THIS CHANNEL WILL BE AVAILABLE SHORTLY. What should I do to get this box to work with the functioning cable that I have on a separate TV?
Cable boxes have to be authorized by your cable company. When you buy one from OKorder or wherever, they are stolen and will not work.
