- I'm assuming you mean the wire providing the 12-volt power to your radio? And you want to connect other unit's it? It all depends on how much current is drawn by the additional units. Do they have fuses? What sizes are they? Backup cameras usually draw very little current and have really thin wires. Shouldn't be a problem. What type of navigation device? Does it use a DVD-ROM or is it just on a chip, like a portable Tom Tom, Garvin, etc.? If neither of the units' fuses exceed 5 amps, I'd say you're safe (in most cars) running it from the radio's power wire. However, you didn't state the type of car. Late-model GM cars or Audi/Volkswagen have low-current radio wires that use computers. They are known as data bus or can bus systems. I'd avoid connecting to these.
- Q: I have a psu that has two slots for 8 pin power connectors. It only came with one 8 pin to 6+2 pin and one 8 pin to 6 pin power cable. I have a video card that needs 2 8 pin connectors and I need a cable that is 8 pin to 8 pin. I can't use 6-pin slots because I have used all of them. I have found extenders but no male to male cable. - EIDE (Enhanced IDE) is no longer a standard on most computers which uses SATA. In turn, they also use different power connections. The channel cable is dependent on the mother board, but the power supply is dependent on the power box. If there is an IDE channel, but no power cable, you have only two options. 1. Buy a new SATA based drive. 2. But a new power supply. Buying a new power supply to replace the one you have is definitely a void of warranty. You are much better off with a new drive.

- Yes, a power conditioner will not only clean the power, but take out any humming or ground loop issues. I noticed a difference in audio and video. I have a Monster Power MKIII 3600. I got it for $200, on sale at Circuit City a year ago. I highly recommend it if you have a multi-component home theater or expensive TV. I have a 50 plasma, DVD player, Comcast box, AV receiver, Xbox and Nintendo Wii. They are all connected through the power conditioner.

- also to add in for the power connector. check the back of you HDD to see if it has the dual power connector on the back. i have seen alot of them with both a standard IDE connector and a sata connector choice for giving it power. i put a WD sata 80 gig in my girlfriends with the dual set-up. nothing in the system was sata till i got ahold of it. put a sata card in with the drive and the 7200rpm's made the 1100 athlon alot faster.
