Q:On an ATI Radeon HD 4870 1 GB, It has 2 slots of PCIe Power. In the box, it already has the 2 ''Y'' cables/PCIe Adapter ( I haven't bought it, just watched someone unboxing it). I might not have a PCIe Power Connector on my 550W as I haven't bought it yet either. So when you insert the 2 ''Y'' cables/PCIe Adapter,it branches out 4 Molex slots, do you insert all 4 or 3 or 2 or just 1? If the answer is 2, do you insert one Molex connector on each adapter or both on the ''Y'' Cable/PCIe Adapter?Lastly, Can a ATI Radeon HD4870 fit into a micro-atx casing?Sorry for my bad EnglishThank You =D
The card needs 2x PCIe power cables so you need to plug in both of them. Each power cable needs 2x molex, so you need to plug all 4 in. Your power supply may also have a PCIe connector anyway so you might as well use that for one of them if you have it (it can't be used for anything else anyway) and then just use 2x molex to power the other one.
Q:I'm lost i cant find a hole in my ford c-max firewall to install my power cable for amp can someone help me as i am traveling this sat to France by car .
In most vehicles there are spare holes filled with rubber plugs. Pop one out with a screwdriver and make a hole in plug a little smaller than the size of the wire for a very tight fit. If it's a smaller size power wire, it can sometimes be run through the same grommet as the vehicles main harness. Be very careful not hurt the existing wire. I have seen people get careless and screw the harness up and it's not easy or cheap to fix. When doing this I usually use a stiff wire (a small diameter yet long screwdriver can work too) and slide it through the grommet. I then use electrical tape to secure the power wire to stiff wire and pull it through. Make sure your penetration point is still leak proof after doing this. You may need to use some silicone and or electrical tape to seal it up.
Q:Hi will this Graphics card, require a power cable or do i just plug it into the slot and away it goes??
Nope. It just needs a regular AGP slot. Edit**** Wow, nice call Jedi Master... I didn't see that at first. It's kinda small.
Q:So I finally bought a quot;boss blues driverand when I got it, I assumed it didn't work, because it didn't turn on, I tried it with an adapter and still nothing. So I decided to take back to the store, the guy who helped me plugged in with a power cable and used a battery, and it worked. MY QUESTION IS; do you need both for it to work? Or is there another option, for just the power cable?
Have one,Hate it, Blue,s tone my ***,It was a waste of money.Answer Yes,battery has to be installed. will work on battery,or nine volt adapter. Battery has to be in it at all time,s for it to work.
Q:i have geforce 210 and i absolutly don't like it :#92; i want something that doesn't need a power cable or something that can be powered by my 600w regular powersupply...THX!
What do you mean by power cable, it doesnt really matter, its in your case anyway and the 600W is enough to power most decent GPUs for a budget go for a AMD HD 6850/6870, a bit higher go for a GTX 560 TI or AMD HD 7870.
Q:there are two cables one thats blue and one thats black what are they called?
One is the power supply cable (Black one) and since its blue the second one would be a VGA cable. Hope this helps.
Q:Trying to troubleshoot my computer I have been unplugging and replugging wires. After a while of looking around I have found that the ATX power connector is missing a part of the pin. Now my computer is unable to boot. Is there a way to fix it. Or am I stuck going to get to a new computer.
Im confused, which cable is this? If this is a home-built PC RMA your power supply but if it's a HP/Dell/Whatever then call them for support and/or warranty info.
Q:what is the easiest way to replace the power window cables on the motor in the passenger side of a '94 accord
If you are referring to the electrical wires leading to the power window system, then you need to cut wires and splice new ones back into the system along with the plug at the end of the cable.
Q:Ok so I was doing something stupid just now. Cuttiing a power cable that connects to the tv. Halfway through to cutting it, the wire explodes and hit my face o,o. So quickly, I turn all of the switches off and run to wash my face. I just wanted to know whether it's ok to turn all the switched back on cus I'm literally in the dark right now. And will there be any damage to my face since the wire explodes in my face?
Everything will be fine to turn the switches back on, but you must unplug the cord you were cutting first. If not, you'll hear another loud pop as the breaker switches off. Unplug the cord, then turn the switches back on. Before you plug the tv in, check the cord going to it for burn or charring. If you do not see any, then stand to the side of the tv away from the screen and back, and then plug it in. Be careful. Unplug the cut cord first!!!
Q:The monitor is ........ Since I have a HDMI cable will i need anything else?
An HDMI cable is not a power cable, it is only used to view the picture from whatever source it is.
