- Q: i am hooking a plasma monitor to a wall above my fireplace. i want to control the components remotely. my cable company says their box will not accept an infrared repeater. how can i make this happen?
- All you need is an IR distribution system. Which is basically a IR Repeater. There is no reason it won't work. I have installed dozens with no problem. All that would connect to the cable box is a 'flasher' that sticks to the front of the unit. Now these can sometimes be too powerful, so a standard table flasher could solve the problem.
- Q: Firstly, they said they would be able to install the cable wireless-ly using a wireless cable fish. I cant find these anywhere online so if you have somewhere you know of on the web where i can see one, that would be awesome. because i want to know what kind of crap they're going to be screwing into 2 seperate walls for $20. and i would also like to know if i have to tip the guy just want to know.am i supposed to do anything to help him out will he link up my tv with the time warner remote that controls the cable box?i tried going to the site using their online chat, but the guy couldnt help me just gave me an 877 number to call. but im not calling some indians to figure out a problem in my house. so if you can help me, that would be sweet. thanks

- Q: For a performance of Pippin we're doing in my college, our stage manager has requested video up in the booth but we do not have the amount of cable needed to go from stage level to booth. Are there any suggestions that will help us with this problem? we can run cat5, coaxial or s-video.
- What about getting a wireless surveillence camera? You can get them in color with audio for a very reasonable price, if your budget allows for it. I have one there is pretty good distance before distortion.
- Q: How come the volume power button on my cable tv remote won't control my tv? Tv is hooked up to a DVR. The problem isn't with the DVR, or the cable remote. I don't have the original remote for the t.v. Thanks!
- In the manual there should be a certain code for programing your remote to the t.v. E.g. you would press like tv 34 or something to program the remote to work for a jvc tv. It should be in the cable/ dvr manual. You wont need the remote for the tv.
- Q: I have dish cable and if I press pause, it also pauses the other TV. If I put the news on, it puts the news on for the other TV. Whatever I do on my TV happens to the other TV, and whatever they do on the other TV happens to my TV. It didn't do this before but now it does, can someone please tell me how to fix this? It is so annoying! Any information will help, thanks :)
- Your best resolution is to call Dish technical support.
- Q: I bought a 77 k20 with the setup and it works but I am afraid the pump is going to burn up if it does not shut off. Is this a common problem that can be fixed with something simple like a soleniod? Any help is appreciated.
- The pump is just pumping oil back to the tank when you are not using it. So it is probably not under any load. I wouldn't think it will harm the pump. What does cable controlled have to do with it not running. Is the pump supposed to be able to shut off?
- Q: Hey all,I got rid of my cable box and tried programming my time warner cable remote to my HD TV.I did it right twice (The instructions given) and now the volume and mute button only work, not the channels.Even if I hit TV before changing channels. Any advice or help? Thanks!
- you may purely pick new batteries. while the batteries are low, remotes in many cases artwork oddly. We had one that in straightforward terms the quantity labored while the batteries began going low. We additionally had one that in case you even concept approximately touching the channel changing button, it would then shop scrolling via channels. New batteries additionally fastened that little glitch.
- Q: I use Rogers Cable (in Canada) and standard definition looks horrible on my HDTV (which I primarily bought for Xbox 360) even if I display 4:3 ratio on it. I was wondering if anybody has a rough estimate on when they will switch all broadcasts to HD. We have 2 HDTVs (one in my room and one in my grandmother's room lol) but both my parents have old CRTs and so they refuse to pay for the HD box, therefore installing a HD box is not an option. I know of the February 2009 switch down in the US (which only affects antenna and not cable anyway) but it has nothing to do with me. It would be great if anyone has a rough estimate. 2012? 2010? Thanks in advance.
- I'd say in about ten years, when more people could afford HDTV and if fiber optics are widely available.
- Q: Secondary circuit control cable copper cable is not less than the number of millimeters
- KVV and VV are as follows: KVV: PVC insulated sheathed control cable, laying in the room, cable trench, pipe and underground. VV: PVC insulated sheathed power cable, laying in the room, tunnels and pipes, the cable can not withstand mechanical external force. They are not significantly different.
- Q: I just plugged in my HDMI cable and everything is working fine except I don't have any sound. I have a Sanyo TV screen that I have plugged into my PC computer using my new cable. I tried hitting input on my remote so I can switch volume control over to HDMI but instead of showing me a list of things to choose from it changed the channel. I have also tried switching from HDMI-1 to HDMI-2 but that didn't give me sound either. If there is anything you know of to help I would greatly appreciate it!
- Most likely a settings issue on the PC - go to Control Panel (or the Speaker icon if you have one on the task bar). Click on Sound (or Right-click on icon) it opens up tabs - Upper left is Playback, be sure HDMI device is Default (green check-mark). Also some PCs' sound can be controlled from a dedicated software package (like Beats Audio on HPs, THX Trusound, etc) and you can do the same thing there. Sometimes even having this set correctly still fails to send sound to the TV- in this case you need to reboot the computer with the TV powered on and HDMI cable connected - what happens occasionally is PC doesn't see the HDMI connections unless it's already there and working when you boot, and in the boot process, when the PC queries all the ports it sees the HDMI and it will then work (I have to do this now and then with mine). Be sure also to choose either HDMI-1 or HDMI-2 based on which one your PC is plugged into - it will say on the TV port you plug into which one it is. Hope this helps - good luck!
