- I'll second chrome cast. You can use chrome cast or something similar, like a home entertainment center or a gaming console to stream Netflix or a similar service onto your television. I use a service called tvshow time for streaming, it's pretty good.

- Q: Does cox cable internet (regular home/personal, not business) give static or dynamic IP addresses? I tried the method of changing IP addresses by cmd prompt and ipconfig #92;release, then making up a manual IP address in control panel / network connections, then changing it back to automatically assign IP address and restarting - no luck changing IP.I do in fact have a router. whether the IP address is static or dynamic, is the only/best way to do it to leave my modem off all night? does it have to be all night, what about just a few hours?any good ideas out there, before I go through a million steps only to realize that none of them work. thanks!
- You have a dynamic ip address. The way a dynamic address works, is that you get an ip address, and a lease on that ip address. The lease time is usually 7 days or more. So turning your modem off for a minute, an hour, or a day, will not change your ip address, because that ip has already been designated as yours for the whole week. The easiest way to change your ip address, the way I change mine with Comcast, is by changing the mac address on your router. Just log into your router, find the mac address, and change it by one number (change a 1 to a 2, or a 7 to a 3, etc.) Once the mac address is changed, Cox will think a new device has connected to the modem, and since all devices need to have their own ip address, Cox will issue you a new one. You MUST power off the cable modem and router after changing the mac address, and then power on the modem first, then the router. I do this monthly with my Comcast connection.

- If the fiber is broken and no damage, tighten the sheath to dismiss, I think the original set should be no problem. If there is no way to damage the key, and must be re-head, use a dedicated equipment to burn. I've seen someone else done it. - Q: I have a Synergy V remote from Time Warner Cable and a Memorex tv, for some reason it stopped controlling the cable so I had to re-enter the cable programming code, ever since then when I try to turn up the volume the tv menu(for brightness etc) pops up. I can't control the volume at all. we had this problem before but it just fixed itself one day after the Time Warner Tech was here( he even said he had no idea how it suddenly worked) I've tried tons of codes for my tv and tried programming it to let the cable control the volume, nothing works, please help! (Also have tried searching for tv codes instead of entering them!)
- It sounds like you programmed it for a similar TV but but not exactly the right one. Just because the power button works does not mean it's the right code. Try all the codes for your TV brand. Oh and be sure the batteries are fresh.
- Q: I have a 1080P TV (Westinghouse), Sony Receiver (1080P), and a Sony upscaling DVD (1080P). I bought two cables to close the triangle (HDMI from the DVD to the Receiver, and another from the Receiver to the TV). I watched a movie perfectly on Sunday. Today I begin to watch another movie and I turn on the DVD and Receiver. To my surprise, I have to picture. I can hear through the surround sound just fine but no picture. I switched cables around, changed settings, and called Sony Tech. Nothing worked! Their response was that my cables are bad because I can use the regular cables and get picture. Now is this possible for HDMI cables (brand new) stop working. Honestly, two HDMI cables is a little over $100 bucks and they go bad after 1 week. Help!!!!
- You should check to see what version HDMI cables you have 1.3 should be available soon but get 1.2. Yes it is possible due to there not being a good quality control on the cables being made until this latest version (1.3). Also try to run the cables straight to the tv and not the receiver. Receivers can sometimes cause communication problems and devices to lose there handshake with devices over hdmi.

- Q: I was driving my car all of a sudden it started going much faster i wasnt even pressing on the gas pedal.i pulled over my boyfriend popped the hood saw that my gas line [cable that is hooked up to the throttle body from the gas pedal.?] was disconected or loose.he connected the gas line [not sure what it is exactly called] back to the throttle body it drove fine for a few days,but then it happened to me again,but this time it broke off. so right now,its holding on with masking tape till i can fix it. does anyone know what i am talking about? if so,what is the propper name? and.does anyone know how i can fix? yes,i know i can take it to a car shop,but i cant afford to do that right now IF its going to cost me ALOT of money. i still have to find out if i have a warranty on my car. anyways,do i have to take it in to a shop or can i buy something at like a Pep Boys and buy a part to fix it? i really want people to answer with knowledge of cars or same experience. - there is up to three cables on the throttle. Pedal, cruise control, detent(trans kick down). make sure the cable cannot interfere with the motor and get it to a tech ASAP and if the car does not do what you want it to do just shift to neutral or turn off the key, be safe and Good Luck.

- If you are dissatisfied with the appearance, you might try a different cable, but if you see no problems in the image, you're better served by leaving well enough alone.
