How could one potentially change that?: Well because it is analog and not digital those channels can usually be aquired using the right equiptment but sometimes they put these filters on the line at the point where your line meets theirs and in that case it can be more difficult. You can steal Payperview and all that good stuff usually. I would need to know what kind of cable box you have to help more.

Q: Does any body know if there is a universal remote control that has the ability to turn a television on at a preset time? My Samsung in my bedroom of course is one of the few that doesn't have a built-in feature to turn itself on at a certain time.I figure that hey, there are (or were, at least) universal controllers that could be set to record programs on a VCR from a certain time, and to stop at another time, so why can't a remote turn on a TV?: that function has to built into the tv for it to work on a universal remote. Did you check the sleep function?sometimes its there or a function called timer.
