- Q:could i carefully bend and angle a fibre optic cable to control a speaker system by IR remote, from an angle that i normally couldnt reach, due to a bad line of sight?
- yeah fibre optic cables transfer light visible or not so infra red would go through
- Q:What is the difference between cable KVV and VV?
- KVV: PVC insulated jacketed control cable, laid in the room, cable trench, pipe and underground VV: PVC insulated jacketed power cable, laying in the room, tunnels and pipes, the cable can not withstand mechanical external force
- Q:The difference between power cable and control cable
- The biggest difference is that the power cable diameter is significantly greater than the control cable. Power cables are usually four-core, or five-core, the control cable is often more than ten cores.
- Q:broadband tv versus digital cable
- Broadband cable is for your computer. If you are going from a regular computer connection to broadband, it is a LOT faster. I would never ever go back to dial-up speed. Digital cable usually means for your TV. If you switch from regular TV to digital TV cable, you can control and give some commands to the computer, sort of like if you had TIVO. If you are talking about switching SERVICES, like switching companies, well, it all depends on what companies you are talking about.
- Q:Catalog of works of electrical engineering cable design
- 1 32 33 Power cable cores cable insulation cable insulation type level 3
- Q:Do these cables do more than just make the picture look better? I have a few games (Namely Disgaea 4 if you are familiar with the game) and I am currently using a old basic box TV with the basic cables that come with the PS3. The text script as well as icons are so Tiny, that I have to shove my face againt the screen to determine what it says. Will adding the HDMI Cables increase the text and icons so that I can read and see everything that was intended to be seen in a video game?
- Not only will it make the graphics better looking it will control the sound and sharpen all the text because it will all be in HD quality. However, if you don't have an HDTV then buying an HDMI cable will be useless to you as old TV's don't support HDMI.
- Q:What is the difference between a flexible cable and an ordinary cable?
- Newly labeled TC, refers to the thin-walled wire tube Above the commonly known welded steel pipe New label, PC PVC tube FPC semi-hard tube KPC corrugated pipe CT, for the bridge laying SC is the meaning of steel pipe wiring
- Q:Commercial channels have forty four minutes of content and sixteen minutes of commercials to an hour. With wifi and Roku, I'm finding cable less and less relevant. Your thoughts?
- While in theory it seems like streaming media will make Cable TV and Satellite TV obsolete, you are overlooking one thing. The same people who control cable, and satellite (comcast, att, verizon and so on) also control the internet by providing it. They are poised to stop this from happening by setting cap limits on your bandwidth. They are already doing it pretty much. The main reason that most media does not stream at 1080 HD is that you would quickly hit your 250GB or so cap set by the providers. So in the meantime they will continue to make billions off of most people. A small few will continue to bootleg and work around it paying nothing. There is no middle ground. .It is setup so there can be no middle ground. Roku is not an answer to the corporate greed, they are just another form of it. Look at the Roku 2's. Gone is the digital optical out, gone is the component video, gone is the ethernet connection wired option (unless you are will to pay $100 to have it wired). And you only get the USB port, again if you are willing to drop $100 for it. The Roku 2 is not better, it is worse. Are not things suppose to improve with newer versions. The WD Live plus is a much better option for the price. Go on OKorder and get a used old pc in good working order for $30, drop a $30 HD video card in it for for the 1080 HD and surround sound. Connect a wireless keyboard/mouse to it for $20, set it next to your TV and be done with it. Watch all the things you want for free (in 1080HD with surround sound) to include all the networks websites (which the Roku can not do), Get something to snack on while the commercials play. Pay $1 at redbox for the movies you want (and stop paying for 100's of movies you do not want) And save yourself $2,000 a year. Screw them all lol those are my thoughts on the matter.
- Q:Does anyone know if the Logitech Harmony remotes can control my Comcast cable box? I was thinking of purchasing one, but there no point if I can't use it to watch TV. Will I be able to use one like the comcast remote and navigate through the menus and On Demand?
- I have a Harmony 880 and it can control just about any device you could imagine. All you need is the model number. Programming isn't so tough when you use the computer but it takes some tinkering with to get perfect. Enjoy your remote. By the way my advice would be only buy a Harmony if you have a more significant system, particularly if you're using an A/V receiver.
- Q:i keep adjusting the throttle cable and and it either goes into forward and neutral or neutral and reverse there is they dont all work at the same time.
- The cables look the same. What I would is install them in the control box, then move the shift only. Then install the cable that moved before then installing the throttle. Then I'd shift yo forward and full throttle, and adjust the throttle for the correct opening of the carburetor I don't ever recall cable installation being an issue. I've seen a few questions recently? I'd have to wonder why. This is a safety issue. If you don't know how to install and adjust the control cables I think you at the very least have a shop manual, and follow it carefully.
