- Q: I bought a Cutlass Ciera yesterday as a side project, noticed it has cruise control, what IS cruise control and how does it work?! Anyone?Fankz
- if you set the cruise control on what speed you wanna go you dont have to hold down the gas
- Q: I tried setting it up like a monitor for my computer and after I plugging in the cables neither the remote nor the panel controls worked. I tried unplugging it and thought it would work but now I can't even turn it on. What can I do? Please help I really don't have the money to purchase a new one.
- There is one more thing to check. Since you omitted the brand of tv and the model, I don't know if there is a master power switch hiding on the bottom of the panel. I moved one and bumped the switch after I had fixed it. I had to tear it apart again only to find this switch. It was an Akai.
- Q: I have a 1968 Johnson 40 HP outboard. I have no throttle/shift cables nor control box. Looking online I cannot find them for less than 100 bucks or so if not way more, even for used old half working ones on OKorder. There has got to be a company that make these for a reasonable price, it is only a couple of levers and wires running to the back of my boat and onto the trhottle mount and gear shift handleseems like a pretty simple device.Any help is greatly appreciated. Looking to spend around 50 bucks
- I remember the older harness plugs being red and the newer ones black. The harness will plug in but some of the pins don't match, most importantly the kill circuit.Got a nasty shock from the control box and the engine wouldn't shut down. This was a re-power and the customer didn't want to buy a new harness/control box so I jumpered around the plug on the pins that didn't match with butt connectors and heat shrink. Not the best solution but it worked.
- Q: I had a short promotional video (5 minutes) made and posted on my website. It was professionally edited at my own expense, and contains a montage of sound bite clips of me talking from an hour long interview video that originally appeared on a cable show. Now the interviewer has discovered my website, and is demanding that I have it re-edited to include at least 25% footage of the interviewer asking me questions, inclusion of the show credits segment, and other changes.I have posted a credit with a link to her website, but she says this is not sufficient, and is threatening legal action.Don't I have any fair use rights to use sound bites of my own speech for my promotion without the interviewer's creative control? Thanks for any help.
- No, the owner of the content is the original creator of that content. The fact that you happen to be in that video footage doesn't give you any commercial rights unless specified otherwise, but my guess is that you signed a release for that footage to be used exclusively by the interviewer. They are being kind to you by not suing you and only demanding that you include some extra footage to provide more context.
- Q: How much capacitance will increase the cable after filling the ointment
- When the socket line is below 4 square feet, if it is an ordinary residential project, apply the lighting threading quota If it is a plant, it should be combined with the Ministry of Construction, the distinction between the material and the equipment, whether the line terminal of the socket is a device or just a lamp or a small fan
- Q: i have been thinking about getting google tv. actually i have been tossing up apple vs. google tv (any suggestions?) but also i was looking into google tv and it said it works like the best with DISH but does it work on ANY cable provider? even a small town provider? mine is called selco.
- Yes it works with cable. Just not as good as it works with dish. If all you want is Netflix, Apple TV and Roku box are better. If you want some more choices check Boxee Box. I like all these others choices I mentioned better than have to deal with a Chrome browser on the big screen. But if you want to surf the web from your TV then Google TV is the way to go.
- Q: I am using an hp rfo-hf-hp IR receIver/ Blaster and I am trying tO figure out how to use the blaster function to control a cable box. I hooked up an IR cable to the port on the back labeled 1 but am lost as to where to go from there. I cannot use media center and I am using Happauge Win TV 6.
- Use that when you play the game Good luck!
- Q: I recently sold my 90 HP Johnson Outboard with which I used T-H Marine universal hot foot. I now have a Nissan 90 HP, the cables are different. I have been told that I need a Teleflex 3300 control cable. In order to connect the stationary part of the cable to the hot foot I believe there will have to be some type of adapter. Please Help
- If you find an apapter kit, let me know. I rigged a Suzuki with a hotfoot last summer, and had to use a 3300 universal cable. I also had to make a throttle link for the engine end.
- Q: I have a Yamaha amplifier/tuner, a pioneer 300 disc CD player, a Tivo (first generation) DVR, 47 Samsung HDTV, Sansui DVD/VCR Player, Comcast digital Cable Box (Motorola?) and a Microsoft Media Center Receiver. I've tried several do all remotes but there is always something that it won't control. I know there are real expensive (Sony? at $300 to $500) remotes but I think that just too much for a do all remote.
- Try the Harmony 880. You can compare them too _ _ _
