- Q:i have a ASUS M4A87TD-USB3 mobo and a Corsair 550 Watts Power Supply. Ive looked in the manual andit says you need to connect the one that ive connected and a 4 pin. It says that if you dont connect the 4 pin the computer wont boot! is there a way around this or it f**ked?
- Before purchasing a power supply you should always first check to see if it is compatible with your motherboard in the following two aspects: 1) Does it provide enough power for the motherboard 2) Does it have the appropriate connectors for my motherboard. There are also issues with certain high performance processors requiring very clean or high regulated power supplies (i.e. very little ripple, etc). As long as the power supply offers the voltages you need on one of the connecters, there is probably some sort of adaptor you can purchase... or you could hack something together. But, again, the power supply may have intentionally left off the connector you need because it does not fulfill the strict electrical specifications required by your motherboard. In other words, if you don't know what you are doing, it is probably best to just purchase the correct power supply for your hardware. Forcefully adapting an inappropriate power supply into your machine may later result in unstable system performance.
- Q:I'm lost i cant find a hole in my ford c-max firewall to install my power cable for amp can someone help me as i am traveling this sat to France by car .
- In most vehicles there are spare holes filled with rubber plugs. Pop one out with a screwdriver and make a hole in plug a little smaller than the size of the wire for a very tight fit. If it's a smaller size power wire, it can sometimes be run through the same grommet as the vehicles main harness. Be very careful not hurt the existing wire. I have seen people get careless and screw the harness up and it's not easy or cheap to fix. When doing this I usually use a stiff wire (a small diameter yet long screwdriver can work too) and slide it through the grommet. I then use electrical tape to secure the power wire to stiff wire and pull it through. Make sure your penetration point is still leak proof after doing this. You may need to use some silicone and or electrical tape to seal it up.
- Q:My computer has ran fine for almost 6 to 7 months and just recently shutdown, and when I boot it back up, I get a red message and a beeping noise saying quot; The power cable is not connected to the video card. Please refer to the Getting Started guide for information on proper hardware instillationquot;. I thought it was a heat problem with the computer so I shut it down and left it for a while to cool down, but I still got that message.
- What part of The power cable is not connected to the video card do you not understand? You need to open your computer and connect the power cable to your video card. It has somehow become disconnected.
- Q:What is the cable for the YJV33 cable?
- DDF (digitalDistributionFrame) digital patch panel DDF digital patch panel digital patch panel, also known as high-frequency patch panels, digital communications in the increasingly superior, it can make the digital communications equipment, digital data stream connection as a whole , From the rate of 2Mb / s ~ 155Mb / s signal input and output can be terminated in the DDF rack, which wiring, transfer line, transfer, expansion have brought great flexibility and convenience of double deoxidation (DideoxyFingerprints, ddF) 2
- Q:I recently bought an asustek computer with a 350 watt PSU. Unfortunately, it did not come with a power supply cable. I have a quot;king-cord10 amp 125v 1250w cable numbered KC-003. Will this cord work to power my computer, is it too powerful, not powerful enough? I don't want to plug it in and over power it or somethig. Thanks for the help.
- Just get a kettle lead. Its the one which has 3 holes to plug into almost everything.
- Q:He has made a couple of really small slits in the black plastic on the wire, all in the same place, but on both sides. I can see silver through it, but no other colours. I have unplugged it from the laptop and the mains, as I assume I shouldn't use it. However, it is the bit attached to the big square thing (sorry, I don't know what it is called), does that have a charge, so should I do something special with the wire? Also, is there any way to repair it, like electrical tape, or should I just go buy another cable this afternoon?I have a Sony Vaio in case that is important.(and before anyone says, don't let your dog chew the wire, he usually leaves the wire alone, I left him for a couple of seconds and when I came back he was chewing something next to the wire, so I guess he missed! I've learnt my lesson and I won't be leaving him in the vicinity of the laptop on his own ever again!)
- Use a Popscle stick, cut back in 0.5 and then linked it with black tape, this could disguise texposedoed wires and could additionally shop the wires in the present day and shop them from bending. reliable success Joe The previous laptop guy
- Q:i just moved from canada to asia and the voltage in canada was 110 and here its 240 so i have a ps3 and i plugged it into a converter(converts voltage). After im done playing i noticed that the power cable is warm and you could move the two positive and negative prongs very easily as if they were about to come out of the cable. I have no idea what to do HELP!!!!!!!
- The ps3 supports both 120 and 220 Voltage.
- Q:My hard drive uses 15-pin SATA power connectorMY new power supply doesn't have this cable but instead it has 4 pin molex connector for the hard drive15-pin SATA power connector has 5 wires with these colors and order (white-black-red-black-orange)4 pin molex colors are (red-black-black-yellow)I want to use 15-pin 'connection head' from the broken power supply but as I said it has 5 wires while my new power supply gives me 4 wires!!!!! how to connect 4 wires to five wires head??? one wire has to be canceled i guess but which one?
- You got the wrong power supply. Get an IDE to Sata power adapter.
- Q:We found a flat screen HD monitor in someone's trash can and we just need to find the cables. I searched online for cables for this model and can't find any. I just need the power cable for it and the DVI cable.
- try radio shack.
- Q:The inside of my computer has a modular power supply that did not come with enough cables, and I have a graphics card that requires two 6 pin connections to the power supply. Luckily, my power supply has just enough open slots. The problem is that I can't find a place to buy a simple 6 pin cable. It needs to be about a foot long to reach. Can someone please help me? I would prefer newegg if possible, but I searched there and I'm getting pretty frustrated.
- Assuming that the power supply can power the card you need a molex to 6pin adapter. They sell them on newegg. You wont be able to buy a 6pin cable unless your power supply is modual meaning you can disconnect the wires from the PSU. Most power supply's you cant do this and the ones that do cost extra.
