- Q: I have a io digital cable box and I have tatung flat screen tv so can I use the universal remote on both cuz my cable box remote broke and I still have my tv remote but I hate to use it so can I use the universal remote on both of them or just one of themand if so which universal remote brand is the best to use.thanx
- Any universal remote should be able to control any of the devices, like the TV and the cable box! Usually you have to program the remote before it will work on the device! Look in the booklet and see what it has to say!! Good Luck!
- Q: I just bought a digital cable filter from OKorder and it's saying that I could block the signal from my cable box from going to my cable service provider and i should be able to order PPV movies and get PPV channels, and was given a print out on how to reset my box after I order these movies so I won't be charged, honestly I should of researched this before I bought it, but it was only $12 bucks to get it so I'm not going broke over it but wanted to know if anybody have tried this digital filter and is it legit?
- They are a scam--- What they CLAIM is that they will block the return path to the cable company so the cable company will not know what was ordered. This worked?? when the PPV box simply turned on with the remote control unit and later sent the info to the cable system. Now, MOST systems with digital cable, the cable box needs to talk to the cable company's computer before you even order the movie. The cable box talks to the billing computer via the return path and then if the account is fine it activates your cable box and you get the already billed for movie. If you block the return path with the filter this doesn't work. NO PPV movie.
- Q: I have a 1992 Nissan 300ZX it is not a TT or 2+2.if you are looking at the engine, on top are two adjustment cables. I know the far right is the accelerator cable but is the one on the left the idle adjustment cable? also is it best to have the accelerator cable as tight as it can go without have it pull on the switch or just a little loose?
- On most cars, that 2nd cable is for the cruise control if it has a 2nd cable right next to the throttle cable. As for your other Q, most of the time the throttle cable has a tiny bit of slack in it (it's not loose by any means, but it's not normally as tight as a banjo-string unless the gas pedal is depressed from inside the car). There's probably no need to tighten it unless there's an abnormally large amount of slack (like if nothing happens when you initially press the gas pedal in the carotherwise it's probably just fine as it is.).
- Q: I just hung my tv on the wall and replaced the video and audio cables with an hdmi cable. Now the cable remote no longer controls the TV volume and I have to use the original TV remote to control volume. I have checked all the settings and I cannot figure it out. Does anyone have a solution here other than calling the cable company and getting the run around?
- The cable remote likely controlled the analog audio out on the box. It has no such control over digital out, which HDMI is. You need to re-program the remote to control the TV, including volume.
- Q: I have a big fancy HDTV, but i don't know how to make the controller control my cable. I have comcat, and I have to grab the little comcast cable remote to change the channels. The tv remote changes the physical tv channels, but it needs to stay on 3 to play cable so it doesn't help. My dad has his tv set so the remote changes the volume of the tv with his remote but when you hit the channel button it changes the cable, so that's the setup I would like. ps: if you actually read this whole paragraph, put a 1 at the end of your answer.
- You are better off programming the cable remote for your TV. Most cable remotes are programmable. TV remotes are rarely programmable. If you insist on programming the TV remote, consult its user manual. It will have programming instructions and a code list, if it is programmable.
- Q: How do I do it? it's not fluid controlled but cable controlled. any clues on how to tighten it up? the cable is super loose
- There is an adjustment up by the clutch lever, adjust it out if is too loose. If that is not enough, there should also be an adjuster at the end of the cable. Adjust that out also.
- Q: Does the control cable KVV require 3C certification?
- Control cable does not belong to 3C certification, should receive industrial products production license
- Q: I replaced the traditional audio and video cables with an HDMI cable. The problem is that I can no longer control the volume using the cable remote, so I have to use the TV remote. Is there any way that I can control the volume using only the cable remote instead of having to use two remotes? If it helps, my TV is a Panasonic Viera and the cable box is a Motorola DCT3416. Thanks!
- you probably need to program your cable remote to your tv. the cable company usually give u a pamphlet of the codes and they usually program it for you but i would call them and see if u could get a code or get somebody out to your house
- Q: And if they don't, then why is cable TV censored? If people are paying for it and the FCC has no control, then shouldn't basic cable be allowed to feature nudity and profanity?
- Uh ever hear of the Playboy Channel??
- Q: Alright so my turtlebeaches were working fine and today I started using then and I think the talk back cable is broken but I'm not sure cause I can still hear the game and myself talking but on mw3 of I plug it into my control the chat icon thingy moves for a second and then doesn't let me talk???
- Check that both sides of the talkback cable are firmly plugged in (controller and headset side). If the plug isn't in all the way, it can cause problems because of the bad connection. If that’s not the problem, then try a different XBOX controller. Sometimes the jack wears out over time and makes a bad connection with the talkback cable.
