Q: I have a io digital cable box and I have tatung flat screen tv so can I use the universal remote on both cuz my cable box remote broke and I still have my tv remote but I hate to use it so can I use the universal remote on both of them or just one of themand if so which universal remote brand is the best to use.thanx
Any universal remote should be able to control any of the devices, like the TV and the cable box! Usually you have to program the remote before it will work on the device! Look in the booklet and see what it has to say!! Good Luck!
Q: Does anyone know if the Logitech Harmony remotes can control my Comcast cable box? I was thinking of purchasing one, but there no point if I can't use it to watch TV. Will I be able to use one like the comcast remote and navigate through the menus and On Demand?
I have a Harmony 880 and it can control just about any device you could imagine. All you need is the model number. Programming isn't so tough when you use the computer but it takes some tinkering with to get perfect. Enjoy your remote. By the way my advice would be only buy a Harmony if you have a more significant system, particularly if you're using an A/V receiver.
Q: How do I eliminate the interference of the frequency converter to other electronic devices?
PE cable that is waterproof cable, you can soak water for a short time; PE water pipes, is used to transport water
Q: I need to know how to adjust the throttle/shift cables on a console control shift unit. Motor will go into forward and netural but has little or no reverse.there are two cables on the shift control but only one moves . The other one dosen.t move in either direction. When the motor is in netural the shift control to near the reverse position.
Without knowing the type, size and brand of your set-up there is only some generic advice, first of all the linkage clearances and setting up procedure is finely detailed in the workshop manual, which you should have anyway. If the engine is not running there is normally a lock-out with twin lever controls - this to prevent the engine being put into gear while the throttle is any where faster than slow idle. There might be one or more failed cables due to corrosion - even the best maintained cables do eventually fail through rust and/or hardened lubricant. With a single lever control unit there is an eccentric cam that allows the shift cable to be fully engaged forwards or back before any advance of the throttle occurs - if the throttle cable has failed that points to the problem. This presumes the control box itself has not failed. Without a manual to hand you can pull these things apart - but it is so much easier if you have that, and take photos as you go to remind you how the cables enter and connect. My feeling is the cables are the likely issue, when removed from the control box and the Engine and laid out straight it should be fairly easy to move the inner by hand, if not you should consider quality replacements such as Morse. If you pay attention to the settings before fiddling with anything, and measure them properly you can put things back together pretty close, and refer to the manual for fine adjustment. Good luck.
Q: I used to have my TV outputting volume from my xbox360, but I installed speakers with a woofer. I hooked the red and white audio cables straight to the speakers. My remote still controls my TV's audio. How can I set it up to increase/decrease the audio coming out of the red and white component cables so that I dont have to get up and turn the volume up and down manually?
You'll need to hook all the cables up to the TV. (including audio) Then run a red and white cable from your TV's 'audio out' to the speakers or stereo. (This is of course considering your TV has audio out ports) The media remote will only control the TV volume. Setting it through the audio out will allow you to control the volume through all speakers.
Q: i just bought a new sanyo hdtv and hooked the cable box up to it. cablevision's remote is changing the channels through the cable box but it won't turn on or off the tv or control the volume of the tv. what do i need to do?
Google the model number of the remote. You'll find important code info that way. In the case of my remote though, you would turn on the TV, press the setup button on the remote, push and hold the TV button on the remote until the light on the remote flashes twice, then you would enter one of the codes listed for SANYO TV's. After that, push the power button on the remote and if the TV turns off, you entered the right code. If the TV does not turn off, then start over and try a different code. The codes my remote lists for SANYO TV's are as follows: 0154, 0088, 0107, 0146, 0159, 0232, 0484, 0799, 0893, 1142. My remote worked with the first code.
Q: Power cable, control cable, signal cable can wear in the same root tube laying it? What are the pros and cons? Question added: there is the pipe used in the material can be UPVC pipe, you can not use galvanized steel pipe? Please advise you again! More
Water pipe wall thickness is much. Can withstand more than .8MPa pressure line pipe wall is very books, can not bear pressure
Q: Computer cable for computer monitoring and control purposes
the inner layer of the code-Q lead package, L aluminum package, H rubber sets, V PVC jacket five, derived code-D Non-drip, P dry insulation; six, the outer layer code seven, special product code-TH wet tropical, TA dry tropical; eight, the rated voltage - unit KV cable model
Q: I asked this question yesterday, but can't find it now. I have the owners manual but it refers to the shop manual for instructions on how to adjust the auger cable. Thanks!
follow cable to where it attaches to the auger control, there should be a small screw holding the cable tight, push or pull the lever, to move it some. loosen the screw move the lever to add or subtract cable Thur the holding screw, tighten
Q: Hello. I have Time Warner Cable. I accidentally activated closed captioning with my remote control, and I don't know what I did to activate it. I tried contacted TWC customer service about it and I did what they told me to do, and it didn't help. How do I get closed captioning off my TV? Please let me know. Thank you. :D
LOOK at your TV REMOTE. Do you see a button labled CC or CAPT? Press it ntinue to press it over and over until the word OFF appears. Now wait. Do you still see the CAPTIONS appearing? If so, you now have to use the TW cable REMOTE. Set it for CABLE, not TV at the top of the remote. NOW, LOOK for the CC or CAPT button on that. Isn't there? Ok, go INTO the TW menu/setup.Look for a Video or Audio based ICON.select it, find the CC or Caption selection and turn it OFF. I doubt the problem is with your boxyou turned on the TV's captioning.
