- Q: i have a cable box in my living room and its hooked up to my tv but i still want to connect it to my projector and my projector has a usb type b input can i connect my cable box to my projector
- Depending on the specific model of your Projector, you can either have S video, RCA, VGA or a few other choices of INput connection. Depending on your cable provider and hookup, you can either have a plain cable with F connector or a cable box normally with RCA connectors and a remote control. If you have a simple cable connection that attaches direct to a TV (no remote, no box), you would need a TV Tuner to be able to receive the different channels whose output would be a composite video signal into the yellow RCA jack. You would need an RCA to RCA cable to in turn connect it to your Yellow RCA Video INput of the projector. In the absence of a tuner, an old VCR with such a feature would also serve the purpose. In some instances either units may also have an S video connection. If you have a cable box with with remote, then there is no need for a tuner or VCR since its output would already match the projector's input. Either way you would need a separate audio amplifier/speaker for the sound. Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turns up or should you need additional information. - More info needed: Does the fan run and move air? do the control cables and actuators move the doors and valves? Is the cooling system full and are the heater hoses hot?
- Q: I currently have a Tivo Series 2 that is not HD recordable but just purchased an HD TV. If I use the Tivo Series 2 with an HD cable box, will I be able to watch HD channels on my TV while the Tivo is hooked in? I know it won't record HD channels, but I just want to be able to see the channels.
- We had the same issue. When we got an high definition cable box to go with our HD TV, we set up tivo on input 1 to the TV and the HD box on input 2. Cable goes from the wall to the HD cable box and then the cable box outputs to the TV (for HD viewing) and the tivo for recording. We CAN watch and record the HD channels through the tivo but the quality is not HD. The new HD tivos are very nice but unless you decide to upgrade, this works fine. We just switch to Input 2 when we want to watch something on HD. Good luck.

- Q: i just replaced input shaft seal. and now the trans wont shift vary well i know there is oil in all the gears. now i know about the tv cable and the govinor. but they both look fine. but i really dont know. but here is what happens. i put it into revers and it shifts hard but i can drive. then i shift to drive. then i get going i get to 25mph it should shift to 2nd but it dont and my rpm is 2500 i hold speed at high rpm then it shifts. but i try it again to get to 3rd but i have to floor it to kick in overdrive to make it shift and by this time i think im in 2nd going 55 then i let go and it might be in 3rd but im puching 3500rpm going 55 i use to be going 1100rpm b4 i dropped the trans.this is all in a 84 gmc jimmy 5.0.i dont know what to do.
- 700R4 transmission is a hydraulically controlled transmission. The TV cable controls the line pressure in the transmission ( along with a few other things ). Loosen up on the TV cable a little it should make the shift points sooner. Loosen it too much and you will burn up the transmission. Kick down should come in around 2/3 to 3/4 throttle. The adjustment is at the carb. where the tv cable bracket is. Moving the inner cable back to the firewall loosens it. If this does not work then you have a sticking throttle valve in the valve body. The four wires you talked about control the torque converter clutch only. There are no vacuum lines or computer functions of this transmission. Disconnecting the battery won't do anything other than loosing the radio presets.

- Q: I just got Charter digital cable, and since there has been a buzzing with the volume. The volume that is being used is the TVs volume and the cable box volume is being unused. - You should only need to turn down the sound on the TV and turn up the sound on your cable box. It should have a button on the remote. It should be that simple , if they have connected it up right for you in the first place.
