Q: i have an 88 camaro and out of curiousity and possibly a new project, can you but aftermarked hvac controls and put them in a car? or can i go to a junk yard and take hvac controls out of a newer car and replace the older hvac controls? logically, even if i can;t find a wiring kit like head units use, i could figure out what wire is wich from the hvac control and car harness and go wire by wire, wich is kind of unrealistic in a way, they might even have different wires. my question is whether or not this is possible or a semi common thing to do, and how: you can customize the interior controls as you wish --- with the a/c controls, some are vacuum operated and others are cable operated or they can use electric switches and actuators ---- so, it is more of an issue of how much work do you want to put into the project?

Q: I used to have my TV outputting volume from my xbox360, but I installed speakers with a woofer. I hooked the red and white audio cables straight to the speakers. My remote still controls my TV's audio. How can I set it up to increase/decrease the audio coming out of the red and white component cables so that I dont have to get up and turn the volume up and down manually?: You'll need to hook all the cables up to the TV. (including audio) Then run a red and white cable from your TV's 'audio out' to the speakers or stereo. (This is of course considering your TV has audio out ports) The media remote will only control the TV volume. Setting it through the audio out will allow you to control the volume through all speakers.

Q: Even if i unplug the cable that I know that works and plug it into his he still cannot get on line. Can someone tell me how to fix his or my problem? Thanks: go to network connection in control panel and make sure he doesnt have his ethernet disabled right click the connection and check to make sure it is enabled if not enable it. Then open internet explorer and go to tools, internet option, and make sure there are no default dial up settings trying to connect to the internet they should all be removed if you are going to use lan settings as the default. Try and connect the cable again it should work now.

Q: i put my turbo 400 transmission in my car and forgot to connect the kickdown cable and i was wondering if its hard to connect it to the transmission itself and if so could i just block off the hole somehow and manualy downshift or would that hurt the transmission: If you have a Turbo 400, there is no cable. It's an electrically controlled trans. This site shows how to do a Pontiac, but the same things need to be done to your Chevy if you don't have all the factory parts. If it's a Turbo 350, it will up shift fine, it just won't down shift without the cable or you doing it manually.

Q: Any ideas as to how I can control the sound with a remote? Since the monitor did not come with a remote, I can only see buying separate wireless speakers.
