- Get it on on the couch. And then ask her if she wants to try the kitchen table next. All of your ideas are ingenious. You should just try them at the same time. Or throw the sofa out. Or lie on the sofa so if she has to get on, she can lie on you.
- Q: Ok we just move into our new home and i am not the best with home interior decorating :( my home is open floor plan kind one huge room and what separates the living room and kitchen is the u like bar. I have a sectional and the back of the sectional is facing my foyer and the entrance i don't like that is what you see besides my fireplace over and in front of my sectional. - Sofa tables work great for this situation. Try a lamp on one end and maybe a bamboo plant placed in a pretty vase on the other. You could add some candles with some pretty candle holders. For personal apearance you coud put a framed picture on it. Because of its location, make sure the table does not become a catch all as I call it. This means a place that catches all the clutter. Keep it neat and clean to draw a pleasing attention.
- Q: On TV they always fill a room with sectionals. How do you decide what is too big? I have a decent sized family room (14x14) and I'm considering a sectional in the middle of the room instead of against walls (which is more traditional). - I guess I watch the same shows. It seems as long as you can move through the room easily you are ok. Lighting may be an issue. You will not want cords running across the floor.

- (A) It's possible, because the work done by the worker on the sofa is the kinetic and potential energy he gives the sofa. Since the sofa goes up a ramp, it definitely gains gravitational potential energy: The higher off the street it gets, the more “potential” it has to gain speed if it falls. (B) Energy conservation is not violated: Of the 1600 joules of work done by the worker on the sofa, 100 joules go into the sofa’skinetic energy while the other 1500 joules go into the sofa’s potential energy.

- Q: I have a lab mix and he always likes to lie on my sofa. I am in the process of buying a new sofa and I don't want him to sleep on my new sofa. He has his own bed, during the night he jumps on the sofa and sleeps there. Please let me know how I can get rid of this habbit.Thanks.
- It's hard to break old habits in dogs. I guess you should wait until you get a new sofa to start training him because it will smell and look different so he won't feel as confused about you not wanting him up there. Think about it from his perspective and you'll understand. Start by getting him a new, fluffy and cozy bed at the same time you get the new sofa. Throw in an old blanket or worn sweater that smells like you (kind of like the old sofa). Lure him to his bed and when he takes a nap there, give him a treat and praise him. Every time he tries to go up on the sofa, tell him off or no using a stern voice. When he gives up, praise and treat. He might learn quickly. Now if you really do not want him to sleep there when you're not around or when you're asleep, you may have to confine him to certain areas of the house with his new bed, at least until he learns.
