Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve

The body of ball valve is full welded, selects high quality forged material, and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body. This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others, and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter, lighter and stronger.Besides, the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing, makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball. The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.

Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball

The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion, and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements. When plate adopted, the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium, but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve. The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium. This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves, and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used, and the cost is cut down.

ball valve seat is floating structure, means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.
Double piston effect structure seat of full welded forged steel ball valve
Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.

Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring, set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded, which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat; When there is pressure generated from medium, the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference, thus the second seal forms. When the medium pressure is rising. It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation, then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.

Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction, the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition, medium requirement, seal requirement, etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve, installed on the body, which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force. When secondary seal is required, there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring. The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball, and then stop the leakage.

Q:It has been known that although tissue valves have lower rates of thrombotic episodescompared with mechanical valves, they are difficult to procure, and their longevity has not yet been proven. Is this true as of 2007? Thanks for answering.
Tissue valves do last as long as mechanical valves in most cases. Most of those are porcine valves, and some are bovine. The majority of those are used to replace the aortic valve. The mitral is almost always replaced with a mechanical valve.
Q:Describe a typical semilunar valve and tell how it works

Q:The water shut off valve that is under my sink in the bathroom is leaking and I need to replace it. I am wondering if I need soder the new one or can I just put some thread tape around it.
More ofter than not the innards of a valve will deteriorate and start to leak, when that happens its best to replace the valve. Since you ask about soldering the shut off valve, I'm going to assume that you have a copper line coming out of the wall. Older valves required soldering, nowadays there is a compression fitting that eliminates the need for soldering. Once you have the correct size of the pipe turn off the main water supply. Remove the old valve (may need to take a hacksaw or tubing cutter, if its soldered on). Then slip the new nut and compression ring over the pipe. Next bring the valve up to the pipe and tighten the nut to the valve. Once the valve is secured on attach your lines, preferably new replaced lines. Open the valve line, and then turn on the main water line and check for leaks.
Q:I have a 40 year old Holton Bb trumpet. It plays fine except the first valve always gets stuck when I play it, in the middle of a song it won't come back up. I can pull it back up and it doesn't get stuck real bad, but how can I fix this? I always oil it properly and insert the valves right. Do I have to replace it? Thanks
You need not replace the valve, but it does need a bit of attention. There are many possible reasons for the sticking and you can spend a long time trying to chase them down. Inconsistent sticking suggests 2 likely reasons (there are several more possible reasons). The first is piston wear that has slightly misshapen the valve casing so it sticks because it doesn't travel through the valve casing exactly the same way every time. The second is that the felts and corks are worn and need to be replaced. The best thing for you to do is to take it to a shop, describe the problem and spend a few bucks to get it fixed right.
Q:Water is seeping up around relief valve threads. Tried tightening but could not get it any tighter.
Shut off the cold water supply to the water heater and also shut the gas supply or the heater control. Drain the water heater (this will drain all your house hot water as well). Open a hot water sink valve to let air enter. Drain the water until the water is lower than the threads. Cut or unsolder the joints needed to remove the threaded fitting. Remove the fitting, and bring it to a local plumbing supply house and get a new one. Install the new one with teflon tape. Shut the sink hot valve. Open the cold water supply valve on the water heater slowly. Check for any leaks. If its leaking, start over. If not resolder the copper joints together, and remember to purge the air through your sink again. Or just call a plumber or an HVAC company.
Q:I Have a 2001 Honda Accord 3.0 V6. Would a clogged EGR valve cause it to run rough and have problems starting up when it is warm? It also runs hot. I have replaced the thermostat and the cooling fan relay? What could cause all of this? PLEASE HELP!

Q:Need some info. Ok, four valves per cylinder is better than two valves per cylinder. Fine, why did Ford REVERT to only 3 valves (my guess is to save cost SOHC)? Audi and VW are using five valves per cylinder on some cars, does this offer any advantage over a four valve engine? Maserati even experimented with a six valve per cylinder!!!! (see link) http://www.maserati-alfieri .uk/alfieri26.htm but abandoned it (my guess is cost again?) Why are we stuck at four valves or would more valves actually render more horsepower? Pop some ideas best answer to reasonable answer...
There are multitudes of problems to resolve and strike a balance... ...In a zero valve, 2 cycle operation , clearing the cylinder of exhaust and recharge it is as basic as it comes..... ...In valved, 4 cycle operation, one valve each for exh and intake, has the least add-on linkages/cams , but limits the speed and completeness of clearing the exhaust and fully recharging the intake. By adding additional valving, the rapid removal of exhaust and recharging is accomplished, at great expense for add-on linkages/cams etc, and great loss of power...since you have many more items to accelerate and decelerate. The ideal valving, is to effectively remove the cylinder head for exhausting, and replace it for charging, but it would be a mechanical nightmare......therefore, compromises are made...2, 3, 4,6,....total head ???cost.. st...vs performance.
Q:Is a Head gasket the same thing as the valve cover gasket, on my honda civic si?
LOL. No. You don't get away that easily. The valve cover gasket only keeps oil from splashing all over the engine bay. It literally covers the valves, sealing the engine interior away from the general environment. Th head is the part of the engine that the valve cover sits on. It contains the valves, and either the camshaft or the rods that lead to a camshaft deeper in the engine, and of course the rocker assembly. You have to remove all those big bolts along the casting to break the head free, and you'll need a torque wrench to get the pressure right when you're reinstalling it. The head gasket seals the tops of the cylinders [incorporated in the bottom of the head] to the cylinders themselves [bored into the block proper.] Have fun!!!!!
Q:My valve cover gasket has less them 2k miles on it and i noticed in some areas there is a lil oil shine around it so i was thinkin maybe i have to retighten the valve cover a lil bit more?
Not unusuall, just snug them, tho - Don't smash the gasket.
Q:1999 Mercury Cougar in awesome shape no engine problems, and has just under 86000 miles. I bought it recently and the check engine light came on out of nowhere and I realized It was an EGR issue the code was p0401 insufficient flow. I had a mechanic replace the solenoid valve as well as clean all of the carbon gunk off the valve and the light was off, then suddenly POPPED back on, making me really nervous and kind of upset. So today I had a few errands to run and I said I wasn't going to go get it read again until tomorrow, and it just Went off. So Is the car just very sensitive to things and is that why it goes on and off? Or is something wrong? I'm a student who really wants to keep this car nice like I bought it.
believe it or not a gas cap being too loose can make many check engine lights come on. Make sure you get it tight when you fill it. Make it click click click That could give that kind of code too, because the fuel system needs to be pressurized. If it isnt, you get a weird code.
