Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve

Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball
The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion,and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements.When plate adopted,the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium,but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve.The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium.This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves,and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used,and the cost is cut down.

As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring,set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded,which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat;When there is pressure generated from medium,the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference,thus the second seal forms.When the medium pressure is rising.It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.

As the above graphic instruction,the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition,medium requirement,seal requirement,etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve,installed on the body,which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force.When secondary seal is required,there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring.The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball,and then stop the leakage.

- Q: Can a dirty or faulty EGR valve cause overheating. My 2001 PT Cruiser is overheating but only on very hot days and when the air conditioning is on. Back flushed and pressure tested the radiator, changed the thermometer, fluid was low but doesn't seem to be loosing fluid since refilled. Check engine light came on and indicated poor air flow through the EGR valve. Is it worth replacing prior to pulling the radiator to check that for the problem with overheating? Mechanic I trust doesn't think the EGR can cause overheating.
- A bad EGR valve can cause a lot of headaches, poor running, bad idle, stalling, etc. One of the few things that it can't cause is overheating. Completely different systems. With gloves on, squeeze it. Wait for a few minutes until the engine warms up. The upper radiator hose will get hot and firm. This indicates that the thermostat is working and the water pump is working. 4: Keep the engine running, and make sure that the cooling fan starts up. Keep your fingers away from the fan. 5: If you can SAFELY do it, reach to the front of the radiator and carefully feel for cold spots on the radiator. If there are cold spots, that means that the radiator is plugged, and needs to be swapped. Good luck.
- Q: Ok guys I have a 70 4 bolt main 350 40 over. I have a lunati 292 cam 230 at 50 degrees. 480 lift. The kit says 1.5 rocker ratio. No valve adjustments needed. I just boight edelbrock aluminum heads summit number 5089 64 cc with 185 intake runner . And comp cam roller tip rockers. That say 1.52 ratio. All my decks on the engine and heads are stock not shaven. I have speed pro pistons with .125 dome. Im using standard felpro gaskets. Ok my question is will standard lenght pushrods work for this build. They are 7.794 length. And will my piston head clearance be ok cause of my domed pistons. and do I need to find rockers that just say 1.5 ratio to make this work or are 1.52 the same. Thanks

I'm thinking about valve rebuilding because my M series conn 8d was bought a few months ago and it was a school instrument. I like how it plays but I feel like there are things that should be done. - If you like how it plays you might just wish to leave it alone. Anything you do is going to change the way it plays, perhaps to something you don't like. Check compression by pulling the valve slide part way out, wait a second or two and then push the key, as the air fills up the partial vacuum cause by pulling the slide you should hear a nice thunk. If there is no noise when you push the valve the air is leaking around the valve and that's bad compression. Another way to check is just slowly withdraw the valve slide. It should get harder as you pull due to the vacuum, if it comes all the way out it should pop.
