Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve
The body of ball valve is full welded, selects high quality forged material, and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body. This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others, and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter, lighter and stronger.Besides, the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing, makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball. The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.
Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball
The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion, and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements. When plate adopted, the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium, but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve. The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium. This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves, and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used, and the cost is cut down.
ball valve seat is floating structure, means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.
(Ⅰ)Double piston effect structure seat of full welded forged steel ball valve
Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.
(Ⅱ)Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring, set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded, which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat; When there is pressure generated from medium, the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference, thus the second seal forms. When the medium pressure is rising. It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation, then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.
(Ⅲ)Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction, the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition, medium requirement, seal requirement, etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve, installed on the body, which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force. When secondary seal is required, there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring. The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball, and then stop the leakage.

- Q: 2003 Ford Focus SE2.0L SPI EngineAutomatic Transmission 145KPerfectly maintained since new!One of the pistons had snapped, yes the actual piston, it didn't mess up the walls, but I am hearing a LOT about these dropping valve seatsI intended to do an entire rebuild with a kit, but did it break BECAUSE of a droppedvalve seat?I don't know because I don't know what that isHelp is appreciated
- Valve seat is the actual area on the head that the valve rests in when closed. Dropping a valve normally means that the keepers have come loose or a spring has broken and the valve has dropped into the cylinder. This was a common occurance when some one has modified an engine without upgrading the valve train especially in older engines.
- Q: What are the requirements for valve automation?
- Valves are commonly available for both liquid and gas. You would begin by determining operating pressure, volume, nature of fluid, and temperature of fluid. The electrical requirements are as simple as supplying power to a solenoid. Mechanically, automatic valves are sophisticated. Begin by researching the water supply valves for a domestic washing machine.
- Q: I have a 40 year old Holton Bb trumpet. It plays fine except the first valve always gets stuck when I play it, in the middle of a song it won't come back up. I can pull it back up and it doesn't get stuck real bad, but how can I fix this? I always oil it properly and insert the valves right. Do I have to replace it? Thanks
- You need not replace the valve, but it does need a bit of attention. There are many possible reasons for the sticking and you can spend a long time trying to chase them down. Inconsistent sticking suggests 2 likely reasons (there are several more possible reasons). The first is piston wear that has slightly misshapen the valve casing so it sticks because it doesn't travel through the valve casing exactly the same way every time. The second is that the felts and corks are worn and need to be replaced. The best thing for you to do is to take it to a shop, describe the problem and spend a few bucks to get it fixed right.
- Q: does it moves up and down with the valve stem??
- Poppet valve is the commonly used term for a standard, mushroom- shaped engine valve.Obviously, the mushroom head is part of the valve, so yes, it does move up and down with its stem.
- Q: im 16 and im rly scared i have already been checked out by the hospital and they sed that i have a moderately leaky heart valve. They recommended me to see a childrens cardiologist since they dont specialize in children. i have to get another echo and some other tests done i think. im so nervous. whats going to happen to me??
- You'll probably have more tests done to see if you really have a leaky heart valve. It depends on which valve it is and what the cause is. The most common cause is to have a bicuspid aortic valve (two valve leaflets instead of 3). That can cause long term problems, so that is corrected by surgery to replace your aortic valve. Once that happens, you'll be fine. I'm not sure what you have, though, so there's no way to know for sure what your problem is. In general all leaky valves need to be replaced surgically if they're leaky enough b/c they eventually cause the heart to stop pumping well and lead to heart failure. The most common thing is what I mentioned, though. There's always a chance that your test was incorrect. Good luck to you.
- Q: HI ever one i have a 1969 1500 beetle engine i have just but 1600 piston and barrows on it but when i but the rockers on i have no valve gap at all. ive wound out the adjusters all the way and i still can not get a feeler gauge between the rocker and the valve. Please help cheers Adam
- you MUST have the cylinder you are adjusting at TDC before adjusting the valves on that cylinder. take the dizzy cap off and rotate the engine clock-wise until the the rotor is pointing toward the #1 cylinder (the front at about 5 o'clock where the little notch in the case of the dizzy is) there is also a little V shaped notch in the crank pulley. this has to be aligned with the crack in the case at the top of the pulley. then take the valve cover off the right side of the motor and adjust the 2 valves toward the front of the engine (front is front of car) these are the intake and exhaust valves for the #1 cylinder. after you get them gaped to .006 snug the jam nut down. then rotate the crank EXACTLY 180 degrees counter-clockwise this will get you to TDC for #2. then adjust the back 2 valves on the right side of the motor (back is back of car) these are valves for #2 cylinder. then put the valve cover back on. rotate the engine another 180 degrees counter-clockwise, this will give you TDC for #3 which is the front left of the motor. adjust them and rotate the crank another and final 180 degrees counter-clockwise for #4 cylinder put the valve cover back on with new gaskets of course and you are done
- Q: We have a main gas valve outside and there's a gas valve by out air condition and we want to know which way if off and on .. Does anybody know !!!
- If it is at a right angle to the gas line, and will travel no farther it is off. In other words, if you can turn it halfway, and it stops, it's off. (that's the way mine is, but don't take my word for it.)
- Q: i need exhaust valves material dimensinons of any car.
- Most valves are made of forged steel. The dimensions depend on what car. You can get a factory manual for any car. Call a motor shop to order them. Don't try to make them yourself.
- Q: here's some additional info asking of my question...I plan on buy a BLOWOFF VALVE and woundering where does the BLOWOFF VALVE goes in my car or do i have to replace with stock EGR VALVE using same hoses or help me please don't wanna screw this one up
- Ben- If your car is not turbocharged you cannot install a blow-off valve. If your car is turbo-charged, this annoying device replaces the Waste Gate. What does a blow-off valve do for your car? NOTHING! It does not add horsepower. It is simply a noise maker to attract the attention of Law Enforcement. So what can you install to improve a Turbo-Charger's boost capability? HKS Controller, Cold Air Intake, Intercooler, High Flow Catalytic Converter, and some type of high performance exhaust system. What's this going to cost? $5000.00+ easy! Lastly, the Blow-Off Valve has nothing to do with the EGR Valve. Two totally different devices, performing two completely different tasks. And... not to burst your bubble. Since you don't know the difference between a Blow-Off Valve and an EGR Valve, I suggest you start taking some basic Automotive Technology classes BEFORE you get into learning about the high performance parts. Why? The last thing you want to do is get into something that is over your head, then have a very large repair bill on your hands because your inexperience in the task at hand is the result of the damage done to your car. One last item here. Performance does not equal fuel efficiency. The more horsepower you want, the more fuel will be required to make it. The more horsepower you desire, the lower the reliability. This becomes a factor because you will be harder on the parts which are doing the jobs required of them. So think before you decide to make major changes to your daily driver. Making performance changes to your daily driver, is a great way to have your friends passing you up with you stuck on the side of the road facing a big tow bill and an even larger repair bill. Bottom line, build your muscle car for a weekend romp, and leave the 4 Cylinder job shuttle alone. Just speaking from 25+ years of turning wrenches!
- Q: as we are strating centrifugal pump with discharge valve close and can not start positive displacement comp. with disch. valve closed
- No, with no discharge flow, there's no suction flow the compressor will immediatley go into surge. However, if a Low-Flow recycle control is installed, upstream of the discharge valve (which should recycle back to the suction drum to prevent heat build-up), then the compressor will operate without surging and without lifting the discharge safety valve but the condition should be corrected ASAP. (A Centrifugal Compressor will normally be fitted with a Low flow recycle system taken off from the aftercooler discharge line for use during start-up but, if a sudden low flow condition occurs and the recycle doesn't have time to activate, a Low Flow alarm and trip system will shut down the machine). Also, starting a centrifugal pump against a closed discharge is quite common practice as long as it too has a low flow protection recycle back to the suction vessel. This Low flow recycle is common where the discharge has a liquid level or flow control valve installed and may close down during normal operation. This valve would be operating as a 'Split System' controller in conjunction with the Low-Flow recycle control valve. PD pumps without discharge pressure safety protection should NEVER be started against a closed discharge, the hydraulic pressure build up will be instantaneous with possible disastrous results or stalling of the pump.
