Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve

The body of ball valve is full welded,selects high quality forged material,and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body.This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others,and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter,lighter and stronger.Besides,the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing,makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball.The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.

Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball

The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion,and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements.When plate adopted,the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium,but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve.The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium.This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves,and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used,and the cost is cut down.

Q:what would happen if valve was not adjusted right? and please explain
The intake valves allow a air/fuel charge to enter the combustion chamber, the exhaust valves allow it to leave. They need to close and seat properly so when the piston comes up on the compression stroke there is plenty of a compressed air/fuel charge for a strong combustion. Without this compressed charge you will have a little fire in the combustion chamber and not an explosion.
Q:how could you make a valve or a system so that when it is pressurized, if enough pressure is reached in the system the valve will open completely and remain opened until it is close manually?I'm thinking about this in the context of an air powered dart gun, so that the firing mechanism is like a piston, and when a certain air pressure is reached, the valve that connects to the barrel will open and fire the dart
One thing you can do is get a pressure switch and a solenoid valve so that when whatever you are pressurizing comes to a certain level the switch will close it's normally open contacts and energize the solenoid which will open the valve. However as soon as the pressure level goes below the trigger level the valve will automatically close.

Use a monkey wrench they are probable on pretty good if they are old this should do the trick for you.

The mixing valve is in the handle that turns the water on. You don't need to take down the wall to get at it. The handle come off including any cover plate and the valve is right behind it. Be careful not drop/lose any screws or washers. They are small. The home center sells replacements for certain brands so get that information.
Q:Any way to treat the calcification of the valves?Is valvotomy only an option for youths?
Despite what Carly has said valvuloplasty is always an option but you have not offered much information to work with. Calcification of the aortic valve is not synonymous with stenosis of the aortic valve. There is no way to reduce calcification of the aortic valve leaflets. If there is aortic stenosis this places a strain upon the left ventricle. The most common approach is to replace the aortic valve prior to permanent harm being done to the left ventricle. It would be helpful to know what the findings of your echocardiogram and most especially the pressure gradient across the aortic valve and the left ventricular ejection fraction. Q:Surly Pilots don't just switch the fuel selector valve of mid flight
Most likely it was found in the off position because of impact forces. That's not uncommon. The NTSB report mentions that not only was it in the off position it was torn from the fuselage and the fuel lines to it were ripped off and the whole bottom of the valve body was torn away. The airplane hit the water in a steep angle and at high speed, roughly 1 hour after takeoff. NTSB figured it was in a 45 degree bank and beyond 10 degrees nose down...in excess of 4700 fpm rate of descent. Marks on the propeller plus all the engine controls as well as indications on the gauges indicate that the engine was operating at full power. Last recorded fuel flow an instant before impact was 22 gph. It wouldn't have been able to do that if the valve was off. In the roller coaster ride that the plane went through and the confusion he must have had before hitting the water I'm sure he didn't turn it off...he had all could handle trying to fly the plane. He became disoriented in reduced visibility and who knows what he thought was going on. The destruction was total.
Q:The water shutoff valvue has a slow leak where the hose connects. Its right were the hose to the tank connects to the shutoff valve.....I also noticed when I close the shut off valve it doesnt stop the water completely. Does the whole setup need to be replaced, and if so, is it difficult? Or will just replacing the hose correct the leak?I figured the constant running wasnt a huge deal if there was no leak because you leave the water on anyways, so there is always constant water pressure there.
Hard to tell exactly from your description, but I'm guessing the leak is only at the hose to cut-off valve, not a leak from the cut-off valve itself. If this is the case, there is no reason to change the cut-off valve. If tightening the hose hasn't fixed the leak, you can get a new hose from the hardware store and install it simply. It's not a huge problem if your cut off valve leaks a little as long as it's not leaking out of the handle. These can be easy or tough to replace, depending on what type of connection has been made to the wall pipe.

This is a 'Trip and Throttle' (T T) valve that is maintained in a 'Fully Open' postion during normal turbine operation. It is maintained open by a Hydraulic Control system that, should any of many shutdown conditions occur, the hydraulic oil will be dumped to its reservoir by the operation of a Solenoid valve, actuated by the shutdown signal, and the T T valve will immediately close, stopping the steam flow to the turbine speed control steam chest in a safe manner. The valve handwheel is then operated to ensure that the valve remains fully closed until the system is ready for re-start. The valve cannot be opened again until the shutdown condition has been rectified and the hydraulic system reset to restore the oil pressure to the valve. The valve however, can then only be re-opened manually and slowly until the turbine is brought to the 'Minimum Speed Control' Governor setting. When settled down at this condition and the steam chest valves are under the control of the Governor, the T T valve is swung wide open. This latches the valve in the fully open position until another shut down occurs,
