Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve

The body of ball valve is full welded, selects high quality forged material, and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body. This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others, and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter, lighter and stronger.Besides, the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing, makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball. The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.

Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball

The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion, and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements. When plate adopted, the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium, but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve. The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium. This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves, and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used, and the cost is cut down.

ball valve seat is floating structure, means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.
Double piston effect structure seat of full welded forged steel ball valve
Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.

Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring, set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded, which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat; When there is pressure generated from medium, the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference, thus the second seal forms. When the medium pressure is rising. It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation, then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.

Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction, the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition, medium requirement, seal requirement, etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve, installed on the body, which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force. When secondary seal is required, there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring. The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball, and then stop the leakage.

Q:Its a 1981 Monte Carlo SS with a GM 350 crate motor. There is oil all over the heads valve covers. It isn't my car, but I was thinking of buying it..Thank you.
Sounds like bad valve cover gaskets. Not too big of a job.
Q:How does a thermal bypass valve work, specifically in a car.
Water flowing into the valve is directed to two outlets. One outlet directs water back into the engine to recirculate and the other outlet directs water to a radiator where its cooled and the returned back to the engine. The amount of flow diverted to these outlets depends upon the position of the valve disk. In a car engine the water is constantly recirculating through the ports of the engine and the thermostat is located in one of these passage ways. The thermostat and its valve creates a third port or second outlet that allows water to flow to a radiator. When the valve is closed the water bypasses the radiator and recirculates hrough the engine. How much flow is diverted to the radiator is done by a temperature sensitive component that causes mechanical movement of the valve position based on the water temoerature flowing through the valve. the hotter the water the more flow that is diverted to the radiator to cool. The colder the water less flow is sent to the radiator and more flow is recirculated back to the engine bypassing the radiator. The mechnical sense element of what is commonly called a thermostat is called a pill. It consists of a sealed unit which for lack of a better description acts like a piston inside a cylinder and the cylinder is filled with wax. This piston is free to move back and forth but is limited in its movement because the wax is incompressible and a spring is pushing the piston back agains the wax. Now as the temperature warms up the wax melts and the liquid wax expands as it heats up. As the wax expands the piston is moved agains the spring and the shaft attached to the piston is used to move a disk away from the seat of the valve and allows more water to flow to the radiator.
Q:A friend of mine who is 26, was just told by her doctor that she has aenlarged heart valve. Is this really serious? Will she need surgery? Why can't I find any info on the internet? Please help I'm really worried. Thanks
I am a CCMA Look up the word Cardiomyopathy. This is the Medical Terminology for an Enlarged Heart Valve and Yes it is VERY serious. Best Wishes
Q:This valve has flow indication embossed on their body.
Gate valves are used primarily for isolation, usually not for flow modulation. They are usually operated fully open or fully closed. Installing the valve with the arrow pointing in the direction of flow will have more to do with the tight sealing of the closed valve than with the operation when open. If the valve is to be installed in a pipeline where the flow is in either direction, pick the direction most important for good sealing. However, I do not recall seeing a flow arrow on a conventional gate valve.
Q:my check engine light just came on and i have some oil on the block of my engine, a friend told me that the valve cover gasket needs resealed. could that be why my check engine light is on?
Oil drips downward, so the leak is higher than you see the puddle. The valve cover gasket is about the highest up you can have an oil leak. Changing that is not all that difficult. I doubt the check engine light is on for that though. There's no sensor for a cruddy engine. Like the lady said, have the OBD II code retrieved so you can pinpoint the problem. A lot of oil can leak from a valve cover. A head gasket can leak oil under pressure and if that's where it's leaking from the repair is much more difficult and the reason for a head gasket leak is usually tons of miles and often warpage of the head from it not being properly torqued or having been overheated from a coolant boilover and continued engine operation under that condition. If the head gasket is blown from rough service and extreme mileage, there can be low compression accompanying- and possibly a check engine light will come on because of changed emmission.
Q:does it moves up and down with the valve stem??
A poppet valve is a valve consisting of a hole, usually round or oval, and a tapered plug, usually a disk shape on the end of a shaft also called a valve stem. The shaft guides the plug portion by sliding through a valve.. not sure if you are talking about tire valve stems? if so the poppet valve moves within the valve stem. I have also heard them referred to as Schrader valves see link
Q:Are these valves are a kind of heart chambers pressure sensors? What is keeping them interlocked 2x2?
It's all mechanical. The valves are passive things kind of like a screen door. When you push on them from one side they open, when you push on them from the other they close. The valves are assisted by some fibers attached to the inside of the heart similar to the way a screen door is helped by a spring attached to the door frame. It's the flowing blood that pushes the valves open or closed as the heart pumps. The path that the blood follows in the heart as it beats happens to make it so that the valves close two at a time. This is because the heart is actually four separate pumps that work two at a time. There's no direct electrical connection to the SA node. The only way they're connected is that the SA node firing is what causes the heart to pump, causing the blood to force the valves open.
Q:what to use to inflate self sealing tube with the presta valve?
Gazoo If you do not have a pump that will accept a presta valve, then you can either buy a presta schrader pump, or a presta valve adapter. I have an adapter in each of my seat bags, they are only a buck or so, and will allow you to use service station air on your trips. Just cause you may not know, the presta valve has a rotating screw inside the valve. So to add or release air you must take your fingers and twist on that knurled circular end so that the presta valve extends away from the valve stem. Then when the tube is filled, twist it back tight to seal it off. Soccerref
Q:does a 1975 chevy pickup 2wd has a proportioning valve? If so how does it work and the signs it is bad? my truck has disc/drums brakes?
Yes they do go bad! It sounds like that is your problem. You can try bleeding the proportioning valve with a brake bleeding gun, making sure to open every valve then re-bleed the brake system this will eliminate the possibility of a air bubble in the proportioning valve. I have changed probably ten or twelve of these things in my ventures.
Q:Valves regarding WC's
David, tercir is wrong. A flush valve is THE valve inside of a toilet tank that allows water to refill the tank when you flush your toilet. That flush valve has a float on it so when the tank refills to a certain point, the float shuts the water off. A flapper valve merely HOLDS the water in the tank until you flush the toilet. The flapper valve is the thing on the bottom (inside) of your tank that covers the water outlet. When you flush your toilet, that flapper raises the water that is currently inside of your tank, is what refills your toilet bowl when THAT water goes down into your sewer system. OK?
