Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve
The body of ball valve is full welded,selects high quality forged material,and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body.This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others,and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter,lighter and stronger.Besides,the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing,makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball.The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.
Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball
The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion,and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements.When plate adopted,the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium,but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve.The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium.This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves,and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used,and the cost is cut down.

（Ⅱ）Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring,set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded,which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat;When there is pressure generated from medium,the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference,thus the second seal forms.When the medium pressure is rising.It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.
（Ⅲ）Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction,the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition,medium requirement,seal requirement,etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve,installed on the body,which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force.When secondary seal is required,there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring.The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball,and then stop the leakage.

- In front of the engine slightly to the left and lower area of the throttle valve. It is a round black plastic canister supported by a teardrop shaped rubber with a cable connector at the top and 2 hose connections at the opposite end of the cable connector which are perpendicular to each other. BMW calls it the tank vent valve.

- Q: I mean dropping the valve seat. And some mechanic told me that it dropped when the catalytic converter got clogged and it hurt the engine. But the most I've heard is that if I want to avoid this from happening I should be running the engine a bit colder because the valves weren't made with the right specs and after a 100,000 miles they become a bit loose and when the engine gets to the normal temperature or just a bit above, the valve seats would drop. Does ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?
- I'm aware of the Escort/Focus valve seat problem. I bought a Focus that dropped the seat. Ford installed faulty seats when they were new. The only fix is to take it apart and have all the intake seats replaced, preferably before one drops. The seat shatters into a lot of pieces and jams between the head and the piston, bending the rod and usually shattering the piston. We can deduce that it was faulty (incorrect heat treatment) from installation because exhaust seats endure a lot more heat and abuse, but they never drop that I am aware of. I have seen seats come loose on other makes and they stay in one piece. Ford should have recalled all Split Port engines and redone the seats free of charge. But, their opinion is that an engine that makes it 100,000 miles is considered a good lifespan, even though my Honda's regularly exceed 300,000 miles and still run like new. There is little one can do to prevent this failure except to preempt the catastrophe by pulling the head and doing the seats. This reduces the eventual bill by nearly 50%.

Mine wasnt really bad at the time, i am now 16 years old and still havent had surgery for it(surgery is really the only way to fix it, they may put him on meds also though) Your Son should be fine, i had no restrictions do to this heart problem, i lived a normal life but the best thing is to have him see a cardiologist to see how severe it is. - Q: This valve has flow indication embossed on their body.
- Gate valves are used primarily for isolation, usually not for flow modulation. They are usually operated fully open or fully closed. Installing the valve with the arrow pointing in the direction of flow will have more to do with the tight sealing of the closed valve than with the operation when open. If the valve is to be installed in a pipeline where the flow is in either direction, pick the direction most important for good sealing. However, I do not recall seeing a flow arrow on a conventional gate valve.

- Q: I've just been told that I need to replace the valve cover gasket on my 97 Volvo 850.....to the tune of $650.00 .....ouch.....is it that difficult to fix?......can you use the red gasket sealant? is there a difference between the head gasket and the valve cover gasket.......yeah I know there probably is.......but when I look on line all i can find is head gaskets......no valve cover gaskets........which scares me into thinking they are the same thing.....i'm hopeing i'm wrong......if its the valve cover gasket it looks like it would be right on top of the engine and fairly accessable.......or am I wrong......sure would like to save the $650 if it is something i can do myself!!!!
- valve covers are easy to remove and replace. don't pay 650 bucks for that. yes, you can use the red sealant, but I would suggest high temperature sealant, usually comes in black, it's oil resistant also. just move anything out of your way, unbolt the valve cover, clean the surfaces off the gasket will touch (cover and engine) apply gasket maker and re-attach.
- Q: I have a intake valve leakage in both my car and truck. If there some sort of quick fix i could use to stop the leakage for about 1 month.
- I think your confused. The intake valve lets fuel and air into the combustion chamber, there is no antifreeze held in by the intake valve. If you have an antifreeze leak that is visible on the outside of the engine, you can trace the leak to the source of he leak and repair it. If you are not mechanically inclined, I would take the vehicles to a reliable shop. ASE Master Tech 30 + yrs. Retired.
