Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve
The body of ball valve is full welded, selects high quality forged material, and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body. This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others, and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter, lighter and stronger.Besides, the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing, makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball. The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.
Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball
The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion, and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements. When plate adopted, the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium, but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve. The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium. This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves, and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used, and the cost is cut down.
ball valve seat is floating structure, means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.
(Ⅰ)Double piston effect structure seat of full welded forged steel ball valve
Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.
(Ⅱ)Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring, set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded, which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat; When there is pressure generated from medium, the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference, thus the second seal forms. When the medium pressure is rising. It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation, then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.
(Ⅲ)Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction, the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition, medium requirement, seal requirement, etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve, installed on the body, which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force. When secondary seal is required, there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring. The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball, and then stop the leakage.

- Q:A reading from my 2002 ford explorer said insufficient flow from the EGR valve. Would it be possible to clean the valve or fix it or would I need to buy a whole new valve?
- Usually it is the manifold that gets plugged up with carbon impeding the flow of exhaust gases to the engine. Apply vacuum to the valve with the engine running, or lift the plunger off it's seat, the engine should stall. If not, remove the valve and see what you got. An old speedo cable and an electric drill is a great way to rout out the carbon, then blow it out with compressed air.
- Q:i have a 1996 doge grand caravan,do i need to lower gas tank to remove rear proportioning valve for my brakes, it leaks fluid and is in a bad spot to get too ?
- i got a 97 model van setting out side the shop and i went and looked at it and it doesn't have one on it,what are you calling the rear proportioning valve,it has a block that the lines split off of but not a proportioning valve, let me know if you got some kind of special edition or something, good luck.
- Q:Need some info. Ok, four valves per cylinder is better than two valves per cylinder. Fine, why did Ford REVERT to only 3 valves (my guess is to save cost SOHC)? Audi and VW are using five valves per cylinder on some cars, does this offer any advantage over a four valve engine? Maserati even experimented with a six valve per cylinder!!!! (see link) http://www.maserati-alfieri .uk/alfier... but abandoned it (my guess is cost again?) Why are we stuck at four valves or would more valves actually render more horsepower? Pop some ideas best answer to reasonable answer...
- Think of an engine as an air pump - obviously, we want the least amount of restriction for the incoming air and also the least amount for exhausting the compressed air. The ideal situation would be to remove the head during the intake stroke and put it back on during the compression stroke, but, obviously, this isn't possible. On a naturally aspirated engine, the intake is the most critical because the air is moved only by a relatively small difference in pressures. The exhaust stroke, on the other hand, is aided greatly by the super heated temperature and rapid expansion of the gasses. Two intake and one exhaust valve seems to be the most practical and efficient solution - adding more vales means smaller valves and an increase in the overall complexity. I seriously doubt that Maserati ever abandoned ANY automotive idea due to cost restraints. It's far more likely that adding more valves than three or four simply resulted in diminishing returns. Sometimes the allure of a new buzz phrase is nothing more than a marketing ploy - a 16 valve, DOHC, four cylinder engine, for example, is a pretty impressive resume for an engine, regardless of whether it actually is the optimum performance set up or not.
- Q:This happens when the sprinklers are ON and goes on for a minute after the sprinklers go off. Should I replace the whole valve or do I need to check the diaphram or solenoid head? In addition to leaking, I have noticed a more potential problem - water hammer. As soon as the sprinkler goes off, I hear this loud banging noise from the pipes underground. Water pressure is fine ~ 50. My guess is air inside the pipes is causing this. Is this because of faulty valve which is leaking? Also, any difference between the valves that are sold in Lowe's and Home Depot to that of commercial valve? My lawn guy says commercial valves last a long time.
- I have been given the equivalent line from our water application whilst the stress valve broke and blew up our water softener it rather is the 1st element on the line from their tension regulator. luckily, it has a life-time insurance yet their plumber instructed me that it extremely was once the accountability city on the grounds that of the stress regulator which they admitted to being at fault whilst they replaced it.
- Q:I have a 4 diameter column of water 10' tall (filled with water). I need to find a flush valve unit to fit into the bottom of it so that it will flush all of the water out of the column in 1 flush. Essentially this will act as a large toilet but it is for a design project at school. My concerns are that the flapper will close before the water is completely flushed out of the column. Is there any way I can make the flapper stay open thus flushing all the water in column out without holding the chain connecting the float to the flapper valve?
- This is an interesting problem. I suggest you study the action of a toilet flush mechanism. Don't have the flapper on the outside, have it on the inside at the bottom of the column, in a small chamber. Use a flapper of very light material, such as a ping-pong ball, which will float on almost no water. (You don't say how fast the column has to drain.) A thought just occured - if the flapper were actually a floating ball, you could pull it up from above, and it would rise to the surface, then follow the water level down, and close it when empty with only a trace of water remaining. I can think of no simpler way to accomplish this challange. Good luck with the project.
- Q:Im living in an a house previously own but abandonded , and im trying to get water, the thing is the pipe where the shut off valve is is dettached , and i dont know where to reattach it nor do i see the missing pipes to reassemble what does the main shut off valve attach to in my house?
- the water line is probably a copper 2 line coming into the house...where it meets the water meter and on the other side of the meter is a shut off valve then it goes into the house. perhaps the water is shut off at the street
- Q:I dont want to buy an expensive snorkel, because I only want the valve. Its for a project for a club where I go to college.

- Q:Im trying to replace the egr valve on a 97 lincoln continental. I need to find out what size wrench I need, to get the nut off. Do you know?
- I am assuming you want to replace the EGR valve because you are getting an insufficient EGR flow trouble code. Before you replace a perfectly good valve with an inferior aftermarket part that will likely fix nothing, a little more diagnosis is in order. If you have access to a scan tool and a vacuum gauge, perform a KOER (key on engine running) test on the engine with the vacuum gauge connected to the hose to the EGR valve. When self-test reaches the EGR test, look for the vacuum guage to move during the self test. If it moves, the vacuum source and EGR solenoid are good. If not, trace the vacuum harness for leaks. Without the scanner and vacuum gauge, find a length of hose and suck on the hose, or connect to other vacuum source to test the valve. You are looking for an RPM drop at idle when you open the valve in this way. I suspect your problem is a passageway clogged with carbon. Remove the valve and throttle body to access the clogged areas and manually decarbonize. This is the most common reason for an insufficient EGR flow on a Lincoln, along with a faulty DPFE sensor or related hoses. My money is on the clogged passages or the bad DPFE sensor.
- Q:My vehicle has 160,000 miles and has burned 2 quarts of oil at 3000 miles. Someone told me to change the PCV valve because sometimes a bad PCV valve can cause oil consumption. I appreciate your assistance.
- This okorder /.. It will be on either the left or right side of your motor and it will be on top of the valve cover. This would not cause you motor to consume that much oil. You have a high mileage vehicle so you your piston rings and internal seals are worn out. There is really nothing you can do besides an engine overhaul. If you strongly feel its the PCV you can pick one up for a couple bucks, but it wont solve your problem. My suggestion is to keep driving and just keep an eye on the oil level. Carry a quart or 2 in your truck and just add as needed.
