Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve

The body of ball valve is full welded, selects high quality forged material, and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body. This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others, and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter, lighter and stronger.Besides, the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing, makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball. The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.

Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball

The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion, and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements. When plate adopted, the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium, but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve. The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium. This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves, and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used, and the cost is cut down.

ball valve seat is floating structure, means the seat can move along the medium direction,so that the seat can fit against the ball all the time.
Double piston effect structure seat of full welded forged steel ball valve
Seat design is special double pistons effect structure,it can ensure the seal wherever the medium flows into the ball valve.

Seat multistage seal strucute of full welded forged steel ball valve
As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring, set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded, which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat; When there is pressure generated from medium, the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference, thus the second seal forms. When the medium pressure is rising. It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation, then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.

Secondary seat seal device of full welded forged steel ball valve
As the above graphic instruction, the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition, medium requirement, seal requirement, etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve, installed on the body, which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force. When secondary seal is required, there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring. The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball, and then stop the leakage.

Q: wut is the purpose of this valve on tanks and on piping? explain wut the vacuum part does and wut pressure does? thanks
The pressure relief valve is to protect a tank or piping from rupturing from excess pressure. A vacuum relief valve would prevent tanks and piping from collapsing from too little internal pressure.
Q: What are the types of control valves used in the oil industry and how are they applied.
There are other manual control valves and on/off automatic valves that are used a various places for remote or emergency control. These can be globe, gate, ball, plug or butterfly valves. They can be actuated by pneumatics, hydraulics or electric power.
Q: i am wanting to know if there is a diagram of the engine or at least if you have to remove the intake manifold to get to the egr valve.
there was an extended warranty on the EGR valve to 8 years or 80,000 miles from new for problems related to insufficient lift of the valve because the port that the exhaust gas flows through gets plugged with carbon. if your car is within the 8/80 take teh car to a honda dealer for a free replacement of the valve and tube if you need to do it yourself or have someone else do it I can scan a bulletin if you want the details of how to do it. if you want that, send me an email by clicking on the icon above my name to the left of this answer and select email be sure to include your real email address that I can send an attached file to because Yahoo Answers doesn't allow attachments. Doing it this way keeps your email address and mine out of the searchable Yahoo Answers database hope that helps
Q: My car may have warped valves. What does this mean? Can it be fixed? If so about how much? And how does this happen in the first place? Anything helps! Thanks!
You need a new mechanic. Valves don't warp. They bend from hitting something or burn but not warp................
Q: i have a '96 buick skylark and my check engine light is on...i got it checked and the test said it was my EGR valve. does anyone know how to explain in lamens terms how to replace my EGR valve??????
The EGR Valve Location is typically housed on the intake manifold (the very top of the engine)( I think it is on the drivers side next to the throttle body) It's purpose is to recirculate a portion of the exhaust gas back into the intake manifold so it has to be connected to the intake manifold. It is a round diaphram, will typically have a Vacuum hose connected to it, and typically held on by two bolts. You should also use plenty of light and inspect the vacuum lines connected to it, they tend to crack and loose vacuum which would throw a code. Hope this helps.
Q: Where is the fast idle valve located on the dx or ex model year 89-91??? I found the fast idle on my si model but its different on the base model for some reason.
base models have no fast idle valve. if the rpm are going up and down inspect the water level in the system and have it bled. there might be air in it. if you are messing with the timing or adjusting the idle you are doing something wrong. do not adjust the throttle cable to adjust the idle. it will throw off the tps sensor. use the idle screw. if adjusting idle at the idle screw or timing don't forget to jump the ECU or you will waste your time. btw you know that the IACV needs to be unplugged when adjusting the idle right? no punn intended just checking.
Q: So I bought my car about 4 months ago (1999 mustang) and the second day the check engine light came on and was the code for the EGR valve. I just reset the ECU and it went off and stayed off until now. Same code for the EGR, but this time after resetting ECU the light continues to come on. Is the EGR valve important enough to have fixed? and I have aftermarket Flomaster exhaust if that would have anything to do with the code being thrown
It used to be a cheap fix. I haven't worked on the newer vehicles, but it used to be an F-shaped plug, with vacuum hoses, that you could replace in a few minutes. Price was under $20. The biggest problem, then, was decoding the codes! I just looked it up and it seems to be pretty simple, and similar to what I worked on. A small diaphragm valve that runs about $50. Ford would probably charge you $300 for the part and another $100 or so to put it on. The EGR valve helps with exhaust and, to some degree, gas mileage. In other words, if you live in a state with strict rules about emissions, you may fail the test. In proper condition, you may notice a little better fuel mileage. Of course, when I drove a sports car, I noticed that a good waxing helped my mileage. LOL I doubt that the Flomaster would cause a problem. This is a sensor issue that is, or should be, directly related to the EGR valve itself. Of course, I haven't worked on vehicles for years, so... Google this and see what you think. Location should give you some pictures to show where it should be on your Mustang and then you can see if you think you can do it. Then, check the prices. If your state is a pain, fixing it is probably cheaper than failing the emissions test. Besides, the more work you can do yourself, the cheaper it is. The only real difference between you and the guys who work in the dealership is a degree (piece of paper) and a fancy machine. You can do the same things they do.
Q: My pressure reducing valve (or restricting valve) was looked at by three master plumbers and they all said I need a new one. My water pressure has been low for weeks. It measures about 100 psi at the outside hose bibs, but it is very low inside and suddenly reduces after you turn on the facets inside. The shower is ok. My automatic sprinkler system is not able to work now due to low pressure. A relative of mine thinks we can just add a handle (as one is missing) on the valve and adjust the pressure ourselves. The repair of the valve is around $500-600! I am told in Texas that we have to have a permit and inspection to repair this valve. Also I was told by the last plumber that came out, that I have to install a expansion tank on my new hot water heater according to code. I'm not sure if that is a city code or federal. Please respond as to information you may have on this problem. The expansion tank is required I'm told when you have a pressure reducing valve for safety, is this true?
The cost you quoted seems a bit high to me. Mine didn't cost anywhere near that amount in East Texas. A pressure reducing valve acts like a check valve when there is no flow. That is it closes as the pressure rises when you are not using any water. In this condition, the hot water heater can raise the pressure even higher since there is no place for the expanding water to go. That is the reason for the expansion tank. Without the expansion tank the pressure relief valve on the hot water heater can relieve unnecessarily or weep a bit.
Q: i heard i should get one rather than a Dump valve, well?, should i?
Depends on the fuel injection system you have and whether or not you want it to make noise or not then a dump valve it is.Now,we need to know what kind of fuel injection system you have.If the car has a mass airflow sensor then a dump valve will not work. You see,all the air that enters the motor must be metered by the MAF sensor. If you have a dump valve, when you let of the gas,the pressurized air is vented to atmosphere. The engine control module is expecting X amount of air to enter the engine. It just got released to the outside.see the problem.
