Q: What is the definition of the pump in the capacity of the pump?
I don't know very well about your work there;General pump is a one, or two with a preparation work; pump and standby pump capacity is big, the maintenance of pumps is provided here, said in the overhaul, overhaul maintenance enabled pump, pump capacity can be greatly reduced, as long as the pump 1/4, thus reducing the volume of the standby pump the.
Q: I have a 1999 Chrysler LHS. Recently, the water pump started leaking and it ruined the timing belt. I brought it to a mechanic that I've never used before, so I have no idea how reliable they are. They now told me that my brake lines blew. Can the leaking water pump also cause brake lines to rot?
Very doubtful. Even getting anti-freeze on a timing belt should not ruin that. If you had no idea when it was last changed, and it showed signs of cracking, then it would be a good idea to replace it. Make sure to retain mileage records of when it was done. Did he specifically say the brake line rot was related? There are metal lines leading out to the suspension points and then rubber reinforced hoses for the last foot to 18 inches to the backing plate/brake caliper. Usually the rubber line is the first to go. The metal lines can last many decades.
Q: I have a 94 Mazda b2300 it was working great last week then all the sudden it started making a knocking sound and started to overheat! Its still drivable but it overheats if i go far! A friend told me it can be the Water Pump so i put a new one, I was told it can be the Thermostat so i had a new one put in. It worked for awhile but began overheating again. My truck is my livelihood so its important i get it fixed! I cant afford a mechanic but just asking to see if anyone knows what it could possibly be? It catches good and the engine sounds strong but it keeps overheating!
Your friends and Kirk don't seem to be working for you. The knocking sound has me concerned and I'm not sure how it plays into the overheating. First the antifreeze level? After the water pump and thermostat you should have bled the air out of the system. Don't think you can fill the reservoir tank and it will be okay. Take the cap off the radiator to confirm it is full. Next is the fan. If it is electric you need to make sure it is working if it is belt driven you need to grab the blade and give it a push, it should not spin free and should only go about one blade past where you pushed it. Engine off for that one please. Next the radiator it self. Make sure the fins and not blocked and air can move through them.
Q: need to know how to change water pump of my plymouth voyager its a 96 and motor is a 4.
This is the 2.4L dual cam 4 cyl. The water pump is spun by the timing belt. Get a manual and follow the instructions to change the timing belt and pump. Plan on taking several hours.
Q: Water is pumped through a pipe of diameter 13.0 cm from the Colorado River up to Grand Canyon Village, on the rim of the canyon. The river is at 564 m elevation and the village is at 2311 m.(a) At what minimum pressure must the water be pumped to arrive at the village? (in MPa)b) If 4300 m3 are pumped per day, what is the speed of the water in the pipe? (in m/s)(c) What additional pressure is necessary to deliver this flow? Note: You may assume that the free-fall acceleration and the density of air are constant over the given range of elevations.( in kPa)I have tried this over and over but i know B it is 3.75 m/s please help if you know to do this THANKS!!!!!
a) Pressure is the weight of a 1 meter square column of water. The height of the pipe is 2311-564 = 1747 m volume is 1747 m? density of water is density of water at 20C = 0.998 g/cm? = 998 kg/m? mass of water is 1747 m? x 998 kg/m? = 1744000 kg weight of water is 1744000 x 9.8 = 17090000 N Pressure is 17090000 N/m? or 17.09 MP b) Cross sectional are of pipe is A = πr? A = π(.065)? = 0.0133 m? one meter of pipe has a volume of .0133 m? 4300 m? are pumped per day The water in that one meter of pipe has to be changed 4300 / 0133 = 324000 times per day to handle the flow That is 324000 / (24*3600) times per second or 3.75 times per second. Since the section of pipe is is 1 meter, that is 3.75 meters per second.
Q: I have a 1990 js550 that i picked up for a project. When in the water it overheats and minimal water comes out the tell tail. When on the tap it runs fine no overheating, so i disconnected the hose from the back of the ski where it sucks the water in and ran a garden hose directly to it. And the ski ran fine.I also cleaned all the tubes out with air.I am not getting enough water flow through the ski when it is in the water. Is there a water pump inside the motor? There is definitely no blockages, there is just no enough pressure to keep it cool. Thanks
Jet Ski Pump
Q: The garage told me my water pump was pumping quot;weaklyand needs to be replaced.
A water pump can start to 'pump weakly' as the blades on the rotor wear out. That will reduce the amount of coolant that is being moved through the system. That causes the temperature to rise overall. Usually that does not happen before the bearing wears out. When that happens you will normally see some coolant dripping out of the weep hole of the pump if the pump is on the outside of the engine.
Q: I have a 1997 mazda 626 4cylinder. For a while now, my hot n cold gauge keeps wobbling back and forth. I was keeping water in it and it was fine. A week ago it went all the way to hot and started smoking. There is water gushing out right beside the pulleys. I'm not sure if it is the water pump or not. Now, my car won't crank. Someone told me that it was the rotor button, but i can't tell if it is bad. I don't really want to take it to a mechanic. Can someone help me?????
I am not a mechanic, but I can tell you that I just got my car back this morning from a mechanic because I had an almost identical problem. I had a slow fluid leak for a couple days, and steam would come out from under hood when I parked (after only driving for 10 minutes). Four days into this I went to the pharmacy and when I left I noticed I left a very rusty puddle of water in the parking lot. On the way home temp was running higher than normal. Let the car sit until a mechanic picked it up. Something happened with the timing belt and it caused problems with the water pump and coolant got in my oil. Had to have an oil change, coolant flush, water pump replaced, and a timing cover/gasket/seal something or other. $400 later I am up and running, good as new. Hope this helps and I hope you can find a good mechanic like I did.
Q: I'm curious to know, where does the water go after it is sent to a pumping station??
Potable (drinkable) water pumps placed just outside the treatment plant boost pressure in the water mains, where it eventually gets to homes, businesses and hydrants via the pipe network. Most sewers flow by gravity (downhill) to a waste water treatment plant (or septic field). But if an area is too low to be serviced by a gravity sewer, an ejector pump is set at the bottom of a collection well which pumps the wastewater to a higher elevation in a pressure pipe called a force main. A good pump station will kick on about 4 or 5 times an hour and run for several minutes. Eventually it outlets to a manhole in a gravity system and ultimately the treatment plant.
Q: i know a little bout cars always fixed my own since day one but this is the first car i have ever had/workd on with a internal water but thats driven off timeing chain my cars running hot and its holding prusser so i know its not radator or hoses but i need to know a way to check and make sure its the water pump befor i go tearing the engine apart
When the engine is cold, open the radiator cap and leave it off. Start the car and let it warm up. After about 10 minutes the thermostat should open and you will see the coolant flowing past the radiator opening. It should be fairly forceful, and that's the water pump.
