Q:I live in a residential/country area, and I have a well pump down cellar. I notice that, even if I am not using any water, nothing is running (toilet, etc) it tends to cycle on and off every hour or so. The pressure is always good, so that's not an issue. I am just wondering....is it normal for it to do this?
No problems. It just means that the check valve in the pump is leaking off slightly and the pressure is dropping down to kick the relay in. As long as it doesn't do it every few minutes when water isn't being used, you have nothing to worry about. If you have a facet with a drip, it will do the same thing.
Q:Can I charge the battery (1.2Vx2) with the suction tube submerged in the water or do I have to remove the suction tube every time I have to charge the battery?
Since you don't mention the model of the pump, if you can connect the charger with a dry connection, you should not have to remove the pump/tube. If you have to take the battery out, you stand the risk of dropping it in the water putting it back, but obviously (I think) you don't have to remove the pump/tube.
Q:House has bad mains pressure, so previous owner installed a quot;Holding Tankwhich stores water from the mains, before pumping it into the house for the internal tanks. However, after some recent plumbing work when the mains was turned off, it's running a little weird. The pump seems to be constantly running, although at a very low level, and some times when the taps/fawcets are opened, they seems to be nothing for up to 30 seconds (only air), and then the water rushes out. Same thing for toilet/WC cisterns..Any advice/pointers appreciated.CheersJM
If the possibility exists then relocating the pump below the level of the water source prevent air entering the pump. Having leaks in pipes and seals will let in air all the time and should be corrected. Many centrifugal pumps have a priming hole that is on top to fill the pump with water if they are not self priming but you need to make sure that the pump does not drain empty while closing the hole and starting the pump. Some pumps have a priming tank that is filled with water and then the opened to the priming port, these can be used with the pump already running and will collect the air bubles from the pump while it is starting. Positive displacement and self priming pumps create sufficient suction/vacuume to draw the colum of water intot the pump to get going and if these fail it is due to excess height above the suction water level or leaks in pipes or seals.
Q:I have a 1995 Honda Civic LX 1.5L that needs the water pump and timing belt replaced. What all part do I need to order to replace all of that?
HOW MANY MILES! This is a TOUGH CALL because a CONTINENTAL TIMING KIT for a HONDA is about $200 with NEW WATER PUMP PULLEYS and and BELT! A HIGH MILEAGE HONDA from taht year may bend a few VALVES if the belt breaks BEFROE you repalce it! Thsi wil requrie a NEW HEAD GASKET and a few new VALVES! AT this time NEW VALVE SEALS can be installed! An independent shop can do ALL THIS for about $1400-1500! he BELT KI is like waht I said here! OTHERWISE use ONLY GENUINE HONDA PARTS int here! teh CONINENAL kits are GREAT and made to HONDA PRECISION as well! PULLEYS and ENSIONERS are involved in thsi process, and only GENUINE HONDA COOLAN should be used ONLY! NO PRESTONE! Stay away from VALVOLINE OIL as well, it is made by WAX REDUCTION METHOD!
Q:I noticed my car was quot;in the redand was about to overheat as i was driving, so at first I thought maybe i needed more coolant. I turned off my car and heard a fan noise under my engine for like a minute then it stopped. I checked the radiator and it was empty (no coolant) so i put water in there to get to the store to buy more coolant. By the time i bought some the water was already gone (this was only like 10 min) so I put the coolant in drove home again i noticed i was overheating, i checked again and all the coolant had leaked out too..it was all gone, that QUICK! So i asked a couple of men about it, and they say it sounds like it could be a hose or either a water pump. I don't know which it is, i can't drive it anywhere b/c it keeps overheating and i don't want to get it towed for $75 just to get a new hose. So is there a way i could tell what the problem is? Thanks!
fill it , start it , watch it, see where its leaking, if you still can see it , see a mechanic, but dont over heat it , you could damage the engine
Q:So when you exercise, is the amount of salts and water pumped out in the loop of henle reduced, if so why????
Salt impacts the osmotic interest of a cellular. this implies that once it somewhat is modern-day in severe concentrations interior the cellular, water strikes into the cellular with the aid of osmosis. This extra water getting into the cellular could reason the cellular to rupture. interior the kidneys an identical mechanism applies. whilst the concentration of NaCl is severe interior the tubules extra water is retained interior the physique. besides the incontrovertible fact that, whilst the concentration of NaCl is low interior the Kidney tubules much less water is retained by utilising the physique.
Q:ok water can't sucked up more than 10 M height in normal atmospheric pressure some well s are deep more than 10 M even some water aquifers are deep more than 200 m what are technologies used to pump water to ground level BQ- how is crude oil pumped from far deep oil wells (some offshore oil platform pump oil from more than 2000 m deep ocean and another several hundred meters deep from sea beds )
Pumps develops centrifugal force! It converts mechanical energy into pressure which pumps out from well!
Q:Why my Water Pump is leaking again? It was replace 2 month ago brand new water pump?
was gasket replaced? if we are sure pump seal is failing..( check underneath at leak hole for drips e.g. tissue and mirror) then it can be swapped for a replacement and send back unit as unsuitable for purpose. are we running a hot engine? do we have an air lock? where air locks occur out temp gauge can show cooler than normal but engine in fact over heating. decent garage can sort.
Q:honda acord water pump 1988
hello Purchase a how to book, because part of the water pump sits behind the timing belt cover.Hope this was some help.
Q:i replaced the water pump and redid the timing belt. now when i start it, it sounds like one of the cylinder is misfiring and makes a chucking noise. do you have to reconnect everything together to see if thats the problem? the engine worked fine before i replaced my water pump. engine like vibrates at each chucking noise. could it be incorrect timing even when the engine starts fine? or is one of the valves bent which is causing the vibration and noise? i checked teh spark plugs and they are fine could if be bad coils? or is the crankshaft weared out? please help and thanks for you help about my situation.
timing is off. did u line the makesbefore taking the belt off ,and did i spin the motor two full turn to see if the timing makes line up
