Q:What would be a good cheap insulation for a basement ceiling or wall?
Fiberglass batt insulation is best bang for the buck. For 2x4 walls use R13 paper faced batts and for 2x6 walls use R19. Curious to why you are insulating the ceiling. It is usually not required unless you are talking an unconditioned space like a crawl space. The only reason I like to insulate the ceiling in the basement (or any floor joists area for that matter) is for sound insulation. For that purpose I have found that R13 unfaced insulation is sufficient.
Q:If there is no gravity
If there is no gravity Gravitation is the year that Newton put forward, but also after the scientists have been using a physical phenomenon, many items are in the role of gravity can play a role, such as: cars, cups and so on. If one day, the gravity of the earth disappeared, the world instantly converted into a different from the previous world. Morning, opened his eyes, press the remote control, I went down to the ground, began to wash your face. Face down, the cleaning fluid squeezed in the face, and then hand rub a few, won the towel, rub it, began to work ................... .....
Q:I'm afraid that joint compound might not adhere well to plywood.
It will stick just fine. I have painted wood paneling this way too...by taping all the seams just like you would dry wall, and filling the grooves as well. Once it is sanded and painted it looks just like drywall.
Q:Moved into a new home several months ago and noticed that the seams in the ceiling connecting the drywall can actually be seen in one room. Is this a common problem?? and what can be done. Do I have any recourse??
it happens when the drywaller has a bad finisher. They should have applied compund to the seams to make it look seamless in the end. You can do this yourself or hire someone to do it. When you are done the compound work, you , of course, will have to re-paint.
Q:Now a lot of people with rock wool ceiling, rock wool ceiling what is special?
Easy installation: excellent sound grams ceiling can be fast, easy to install in place. Due to the lighter weight, easy handling and transportation, the product will not produce dust when cutting and installing, so it will not affect the health of the installer. After installation, the ceiling surface can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or a wet cloth. When using this ceiling, you can also access the various facilities that are hidden behind the ceiling panel, such as HVAC equipment.
Q:But it's fiberglass and needs to be flexible for when it moves. I think actual mirrors will crack and be too heavy. What do I use for the mirrored effect?
a fabric called mylar. The material most ballons are made from.
Q:Fiberglass sound-absorbing ceilings
Non-combustible performance: A-level, the national authority of the Cl test, measured (GB9624-1997)
Q:Worked putting ceiling tile in for a commercial building and on the other side of tile was yellow insulation.first time working with it didnt know any betterno gloves no mask short sleeve shirtgot it all over skin by lunch time eyes were watery itchy by the time work was over I was itching next day noticed two red sores on armjust ignored them few days later I had more places similar and itched like crazyhow do I get rid of insulation itch / rash??
Insulation has a nasty habit of doing this to people. Fiberglass insulation is the worst, as it literally cuts the skin and causes serious rashes and enough itchy feeling that people usually draw blood from scratching so much. Water, soap, and a good scrubbing to start would be good. Watch for pain when scrubbing the area to make sure there is nothing stuck in the area that you could potentially be driving deeper into the skin. Buy some anti-itch cream in the mean time. The rash should go away with time and proper hygiene.
Q:What kind of materials do you need to decorate a house?
Fittings: plumbing wire woodworking board gypsum board fir board line cement yellow yarn and other main materials: floor tiles and the like and then include hardware finished furniture
Q:How to enhance the sound insulation of the room?
1 carpet, beautiful and comfortable 2 hanging some heavy curtains ~ color can choose some of the elegant 3 on the wall laying some noise board ~ low cost ~ effect is also good 4 that glass window can choose a better sealing of the laminated glass, etc. ~
