Q:New home decoration is the choice of all-inclusive or half-pack good?
The main material of their own choice, auxiliary materials decoration work package. It is best to find a good decoration work, that would not be too hard.
Q:hey. i am moving my room into another room in my house. The only problem with this room is that the ceiling is quite old and one part of it fell off. I need to fix this part that fell off. I think the whole ceiling is plaster i guess but underneath the plaster are these really skinny wood boards with something that looks like cement between them. Can i just do the standard drywall fix with a new drywall piece and some mesh and can i nail the drywall into these boards? I also need to peel ugly wallpaper off too to paint it. If i could just fix this part of the ceiling, things would be great. Oh, the whole is like 3 feet by 2 ft so how much would the drywall be to fix it. i cant get it done by a proffessional because i have no money and my mom will by me the drywall. A lot of help appreciated. thanks.
You can repair it with drywall but it will take a lot of sheet rock mud to get it right. One half inch drywall costs about 12.00 in Georgia. The mud will cost about 8.00.
Q:The working principle of optical fiber
Optical fiber: the practical application of total reflection principle ?? ?? Optical fiber is made of two or more transparent materials with different refractive index through special composite technology made of composite fiber.
Q:What is the classification of wallpaper in the end
There are many kinds of what you want to know?
Q:What are the textile mill floor materials?
Please do the epoxy resin is good, the price is relatively high, because we designated the Secretary Deng card, before always do bad, the results of the people of Hong Kong, really useful, the construction is not Secretary Dengde, a technician To guide over.
Q:We just bought a house and our ceiling has the cottage cheese texture to it and it is cracked and broken in many placed so my husband wants to just take it off. I have told him that it may contain asbestos but he thinks he can do it on his own. So we are going to get it tested and if it does he just wants to remove it himself. My question is, is this a job anyone can do?
He wants to what?? Id get his head read, this stuff is extremely dangerous material. It may take 20 yrs to develop cancer, But its a bit late then to say Gee I wish I had done it properley If it is asbestos Its better to pay the experts to do a proper job, maybe expensive but I think is prefferable to an early funeral, maybe yours!!!!!
Q:We are rennovating my basement. There was a drop ceiling and thin paneling on the walls. I took out the drop ceiling and the paneling. The main goal is to get an efficient way to heat the space. The house has radiator heating so I figured we could use the heat from the pipes as the main heating source. We will put in a new drop ceiling that stays above the pipes (exposing the pipes will heat the space). What kind of insulation is recommended for the new drop ceiling to keep the heat in? I was recommended either fiberglass or foam insulation. The framing on the walls is good and I would like to reuse. What type of insulation on the walls? We will be drywalling them. Once again, I was recommended fiberglass but to put a plastic barrier between the wall and insulation. What do you think?I am open to any suggestions. Thanks!
For the walls use fiberglass kraft faced(paper on one side) and no plastic or unfaced insulation with plastic. R-11 or R-13 for 2x4 walls. For the ceiling, I wouldn't bother with it. Instead add a radiator to the basement area and add a new pump and thermostat to create a new zone. Otherwise the basement would only be heated when some other area of the house needs more heat, this usually makes the basement too cold or too hot.
Q:What signs on plastic products are non-toxic
HDPE high density polyethylene Common white vials, cleaning supplies, bath products. Do not use it again Cups, or used to make other containers. Clean is not complete, do not use.
Q:Faced or Unfaced fiberglass? How much might it help with sound reduction? Right now Unfaced R30 fiberglass is just under $10 a batt for aprox 30 sq feet. I'm not sure if that is too much R value for a ceiling or if you can even use unfaced batting If it isn't ok for a basement ceiling then I can get some R13 kraft faced for $40/ 163 sq feet.
A faced fiberglass insulation would be easier to work with. But the main question would be what size beams are being used in the basement ceiling. 2x6? If so then I believe the R-19 would be your best bet. R-30 is generally used in the attic and would be compressed too much to get the full R-value for a basement ceiling. R-13 is used when 2x4 studs are in place, it might not provide enough insulation. Also to help in the installation of the insulation, consider using the Simpson brand Insulation supports, which will help keep the insulation in place.
