Energysaving is a trend for our 21' era, new product like fiberglass ceiling tile could in place of traditional products one day. Which depends on functional characters: little deflection of geometry dimention, no radiocative property, specific activity of 226Ra: Ira ≤1.0 and specific activity of 226 Ra 232 Th, 40 K: Ir ≤ 1.3. Both products and packages can be recycled.

Q: Due to circumstances too complicated to go into, my husband and I ended up trying to finish the drywall on our kitchen ceiling ourselves. We were in a bind and couldn't get a contractor, so we used compound, taped, sanded, primed and painted the ceiling 2 weeks ago. In some places the tape has bubbled, in others it's clearly visable under the tape, the ceiling looks, well, bad.My question is: how best to fix it? Do we sand down to the original tape (please, nononono!) and redo it? Is there a textured paint we could use? Pressed tin panels (country house)? We don't have a lot to spend on the project, so any advice would be appreciated! (Yes, I know we messed-up when we painted)
Dear Ones, Tear off the old paper tape and joint compound over it. and replace with Fiberglass Mesh Drywall Tape. The paper tape does not adhere well to the ceiling or the joint compound, so when you paint it the paper tape absorbes moisture and separates from the joint causing bubbles, cracks and etc. The mesh tape will bridge the gap and adhere to the ceiling. The joint compound can then flow around the mesh tape and make contact with ihe ceiling giving you a secure attachment of ceiling to joint compound. The guys at the store can help you find the Mesh tape. A little more expensive, but it does the job.
Q: Why is the state of magnesium dichloride at room temperature?
Solid, is a crystal.
Q: Home want to stick wallpaper, what kind of election is better
Plastic wallpaper: This is currently on the market common wallpaper, the vast surface material used for the polyvinyl chloride (or polyethylene), also known as PVC wallpaper. This kind of wallpaper is divided into many types, each category is divided into several varieties, each species is divided into a variety of colors. Generally use paper as the substrate, plastic PVC paste resin, and then by printing, embossed, usually flat light printing, light printing, monochrome embossing, printing embossing several types. This wallpaper is relatively low price, the use of a wide range, strong and durable, but poor environmental protection.
Q: I am redoing my basement and am wondeirng what is the best way to insulate the basement ceiling, mainly to cut down on noise. My house is fairly old and the hardwood floors we have upstairs creak very loudly when you walk on them, and can be heard through the basement. Would fiberglass insulation work to cut down on footstep noise? If i put two layers in the ceiling would that be better? Or if I carpet upstairs would that muffle the sound?
you need to address the problem at it's source. Installing insulation will be marginal at best as the sound waves will still travel down the joists away from the source of the squeaking. Installing pad and carpet will help upstairs to some degree, but not below. Try to identify the exact, or as close as possible, locations of the squeaking floor boards. Take some long shims ( 12 or so ), coat both sides with adhesive and gently drive them between the flooring and the joists until they are snug. Repeat as necessary. Allow to cure overnight and retest for squeaks. If any areas remain, check to be sure there is not another source of the squeaking such as bridging being loose, straps for plumbing or ductwork being loose or a cracked joist.
Q: I was replacing a bathroom fan and the new bathroom fan is bigger than the old one. I took out the old one. Then I used a pencil and traced around the new fan. Then I used a reciprocating saw for the first time and got a little crazy with it. Now the hole is slightly too big and when I put the grill cover on the fan, I can see the hole. I'm not sure what to do now. I still got old pieces of the ceiling. Maybe I can do something with it?
It sounds like when you put the fan in you can see holes around it. If that is correct then get some cardboard and wrap around the fan two or three times around the fan where it fits through the hole. So later when it is removed it give the correct gap around the fan fit to the hole. Now you should be able to secure the fan in place but not up tight to the roof, so you can still get plaster into the gap. Then get some plaster filler. you can get it from hardware store. And with a scraper that is used for plaster fill the gap. Let it dry. You then take the fan out and then remove the cardboard and discard. With the cardboard out their should be just the right amount of gap for the fan to fit back in snuggle and perfect. Use just enough cardboard as you think will do the job. The plaster also sticks to the card board and not the fan housing. You can also rap some Glad Wrap around the cardboard on the out side and it will pull away from the plaster easier when it is dry. Then sand, then you may need that repair with the fiber netting that sticks to it, to strengthen the around the hole. ( buy from hardware. just ask them and they will know. ) stick some of that on to strengthen it and put more plaster on. Let dry, sand and paint. If you google wall plastering repairs you should be able to get some demonstration on how to repair walls with holes so it will show you how to use the mesh to repair. It is not really very difficult. Good luck.
Q: What is the use of sisal?
Sisal (sisal) is a common agave plant, is also a kind of perennial, fleshy, xerophytic herbs, mainly from the leaf sheath to obtain fiber. Sesame is a perennial leaf fiber crop, is also the world's largest amount, the widest range of a hard fiber. As the characteristics of hard fiber with a white, tough texture (tensile strength), flexible, resistant to sea water immersion, friction, not broken broken, and less glue, not easy to slip and other characteristics, so yellow, kenaf and other bast fibers Can not be replaced.
Q: I have hanged the drywalls on both the ceiling and walls. My questions is how should I tape the joints between the ceiling and walls? Should I use a regular paper tape, a fiberglass mesh or a paper corner bead (inside corner)?
I prefer to use the paper tape. It is prefolded, all you have to do is fold it again to make a good corner.
Q: What signs on plastic products are non-toxic
Material products should be above the regeneration cycle mark the triangle, there is a number, the following is PP or PE. The number is between 1-6, the greater the number that the higher the regeneration effect. Write 1 for the polyethylene terephthalate Common mineral water bottles, carbonated beverage bottles and so on. Heat to 70 ℃ easy to deformation, There is material harmful to the human body. No. 1 plastic goods with 10 months later, May release the carcinogen DEHP. Can not be placed in the car in the sun; do not pretend to wine, oil and other substances
Q: We just remodeled and now have a family room in our basement. This is right under our upstairs living room. All noise in the basement comes directly upstairs. There is duct work running across the basement ceiling to the floor vents in the living room. We have nothing on the basement ceiling right now. Any suggestions of how to reduce the sound coming up? And no, getting rid of our kids is not an option!
I would recommend doing a drywall ceiling instead of drop ceiling and just use a lot of the roll out insulation before you drywall and you can special order a type of specialty drywall from Lowe's or Home Depot called Quiet Rock and one sheet of quiet rock has the sound dampening power of 8 sheets thick of regular drywall. Its great stuff. The other issue is that if that duct work connects to the basement room and the room upstairs it acts as a sound channel and the only way to stop that is to not configure the ducts that way. Keep in mind if you use the quiet rock type drywall you will kill its sound dampening power if you cut holes in it to install recessed lights but you can mount a flush mount ceiling light.
Q: What is the relationship between the two? Or who is engaged in the electronics industry, can give me talk about the industry's industrial chain and technical process? Thank you.
The concept of glass is generally hard and fragile objects, and is not suitable as a structural material, but if it is made of silk, its strength is greatly increased and has a softness, so with the shape of the resin can finally become a good structural material. Glass fiber with its diameter smaller its strength increased. As a reinforcing fiber glass fiber has the following characteristics, these features make the use of glass fiber far more than other types of fiber to a wide range of development speed is also far ahead of its characteristics are listed below: ?? (1) high tensile strength, elongation is small (3%). ?? (2) high elasticity coefficient, good rigidity. ?? (3) elastic limit within the large elongation and high tensile strength, so the absorption of large impact energy. ?? (4) for the inorganic fiber, with non-flammable, good chemical resistance. ?? (5) water absorption is small. ?? (6) scale stability, heat resistance are good. ?? (7) good processing, can be made into stocks, beams, carpets, weaving, and other different forms of products. ?? (8) transparent through the light. ?? (9) with a resin having a good adhesion to the surface treatment agent. ?? (10) cheap.
