- Q: I built my own, verry successfull HHO gas generator and I want to inject the gas being produced, strait into my car engine but the flame keeps going back into my hose, i have going strait into the air intake carb, and blowing up my generator! I built a little flashback arrestor with gas piping filled with aquarium airstones and that obviously didn't work. Where can i buy a professional industrial flashback arrestor so I don't have to make my own?

That is where the term diesel over electric comes from. In short the diesel engine drives the generator. The power from the generator drives the traction motors. The traction motors drive the wheels. Both the RPM's and the excitation voltage is controlled by the engineer. - No, it is not possible. All energy conversion devices are less than 100% efficient.

- That's according to classical physics. You'll notice that race cars from the 60's and earlier had skinny tires because of the principle that the friction coefficient was not dependent on surface area but since then, race car tires have gotten wider and softer. At first the mechanism as to why wider tires worked better wasn't known but in the 80's they realized that it had to do with the structure of materials at a microscopic level. - you could work for car Dealerships, boat service centers, commercial truck centers, heavy equipment companies, Family Fun Centers that utilize diesel generator systems (like ski resorts), and Power utility companies. All pay pretty well. The starting pay will be dependent on the state, job duties and the competition in the market place. The best pay will be in Heavy Equipment, Commercial Trucking, and then vehicle Dealerships. My Step-Son went to UTI in AZ. He started out working for Sea Ray boats, but the pay wasn't great, about $15 per hour to start. His buddy went to work for a car dealership and started making $60k per year and now is earning $100k per year after 6 years in the same dealership.

- The diesel would only be used to power the generator. Just as water is used at hydro-electricity plants to turn the turbines. The engine alone would not produce electricity. I agree that you could use your truck to power a generator with the proper adapters, but it would be cheaper to buy a self contained generator.
