- I'm not an expert on this, but I'll give it my best guess. To try to point you in the right direction. First, you need to know the torque of this magnet. 1 horse power 0.74569 kilowatts So to get a 1 kilowatts, you need 1.35962 horsepower. The motor will have a certain efficiency. I do not know if this is factored in to the motors power rating, however if the efficiency is, say, 90%. Then you will need to divide the horse power by 0.9 to get the correct horse power rating. Is this a motor part of a diesel / fuel generator, or is it part of a wind turbine / water turbine?

- what you need to do is run that generator with a quality diesel engine and you need to get some commercial companies to advise you the power, amps, and you will need to have some time off the line so your refrigeration will need to be of good quality to stay cold for 5/6 hours while people sleep --- or else you need to have an excellent muffler system for that power plant you probably need to figure how to have some farming so you get the farm discount on the fuel .

- I assume you mean a 40KVA generator which on the whole is quite large for a simple water wheel installation. If you look at Hydro electric installations they usually start with a large dam that stores a huge a mount of water from a river. The height of the water creates a large pressure at the bottom of the dam where the water is relaesed through sluices to turn massive generators. Compared with the natural flow of the river that would not be able to turn relatively small generators. So waterwheels in a river can produce electricicty but a 40KVA may be too big

- diesel emits CO, NOx and particulates (dust). The CO and NOx make acid rains and the dust is an irritant to lungs. But, it runs ambulances and generators at hospitals. It transports goods to market. It runs tractors that grow and harvest food.
- Q: If global warming is as bad as Scientists say, two hours a month without power seems like a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things. I'm sure theres a way to keep hospitals running and emergency services running. All shops would have to lock down I guess people would start rioting or something, but I would think there would have to be some sort of way to covertly have different towns and counties shut down for a couple hours discretely each monthmaybe at night when people are sleeping? Just a thought.

- Q: I recently seperated the generator from the engine and replaced the rear main oil seal on the engine the electric generator was only moved back about 16-18 inches to access rear main seal. job went well with no problems after completeing job I turned down rpms to about 1000 rpm It was put back in service They use it to power up refer containers from the harbor. the next day I check it and they had turned up rpms to ??? as fast as it would run and 12 refer units running off it oh it's 480 volt well it ran for a week non stop and broke down and of corse it was my fault all i did was unbolt drive plate on front of rotor from flywheel of engine .est to repair is 6,000 could this be my fault after it ran for a week or caused from hi rpms and heat related possibley
- If they need a scapegoat, you're it. However if it ran for 168 hours on a diesel engine and things were not RE-torqued/double checked

- Humans have not quite figured out how to safely use nuclear energy. Despite the best technical minds in the world, Japan, Russia, and the USA have failed to prevent disasters. Having worked in the nuclear energy field for an energy company and as a vendor, I can tell you that the rules are bent regularly despite what the PR folks tell the world and all those painful paper trails. The world as presented by spokespeople, executives, and media does not exist. The idea that a bigger technological hammer will solve problems created by an already oversized and uncontrollable technology just is insane. A big lead cap will just cause an explosion that is even bigger and more widespread. The only solution is long term. We must stop this insane technology that benefits the very wealthy elite who profit by putting these projects together. GE and Bechtel make out like bandits. It's the tax payer and the rest of us who end up footing the bill. We also have an even more deadly pandemic underway thanks to our friends at Monsanto. A small percentage of folks are now suffering from gluten allergies that are the direct result of genetic modifications to wheat. Many common foods we eat, like wheat, corn, and soy is constantly being changed and the problems (allergies and built in pest resistance) is are not immediately apparent. Some instances of poisoning from GM products are documented, but many may not be linked to the real cause for many years, if at all. More technology is not the answer.
