- Hey, firstly this is a very broad question and I'm not quite sure where to start but here goes. There are several different types of generators, petrol are the cheapest (you could get a cheap one for $500-800) this is probably all you would require for a tree house. Diesel generators are more expensive but they are more reliable and diesel fuel does not deteriorate over time as petrol does. (I know this is too much information) For a 15 year old I would suggest: Plenty of couches, chairs beanbags etc. A easy way to get into the tree house, stairs around the trunk for example. A swing down from the tree house. If you have a pool or a trampoline you get organize so you could jump from a low platform.

- You will need a minimum 3000 watt generator, but to prevent running it at 100% load go for something slightly larger, likely 4000 watts. Most generators in this size will supply 120V/240V instead of a single 120V output. The lights will have to be broken into two separate chains to feed from separate 120V outputs from the generator.

- OK - You have elaborated - At that voltage you will have about 2400 Amperes. I P/E You have a generator putting out about 1 million watts. Divide that by the voltage and you get the usable amperes at rated voltage. Drop that to 380 3 phase Y would transformer. With loss through this you will have about 2352 amps. But the voltage has dropped from 415 to 380 so the amperes will go up. You will have about 2500 amps available at the output side of the transformer. Remember this is TOTAL amperes across all 3 legs of the windings. Remember that The Power is ALWAYS equal to the VOltage X the Amperage. If one goes up the other goes down. That will NOT change. Transformers are 98% efficient so you must calculate the initial loss through the primary transformet before you calculate the oiwer available for your main buss. If you have 1000 KVA before the transformer you will have 980 KVA at the out side. At 380 V, 3 phase you will have 2578 Amps. 980,000VA/380V 2578.94A OK So far? For safety you have to derate the system by 20% to prevent overload and burnout of the Generator or transformer. you have 2000 amps at 380 volts. That is on your main buss in the master control panel. You have a master breaker there feeling smaller buss lines. On each of these is one breaker per machine OR you can take sub feeder lines to sub panels throughout the factory. From these sub panels you can distribute 3 phase for motors and secondary panels for 110 or 200 single phase for lighting and hand tools. This is so complex and I want to tell you so much. How about I go there and do it.

- the other guys are right cummins owens onan. sounds like a 750 kw it is a good lighthouse, you find that it uses about .2 gl an hour of diesel. its some what hard on raw water impellers ( carry an Extra) and you'll need to change the mounts to stop some of the vibration other than that its been very reliable for me. it powers my 53 foot trawler no problems.

- Many modern cruise ships use a combination gas and steam power or COGAS plant to produce electric power. Much like you cars alternator in your car it converts other power sources into electricity. Unlike you car though the COGAS system does not directly power the ship but sends the electricity to electric turbines for propulsion and also provides the rest of the ship with electric power. The human body uses about 10 cups of water each day. No matter how it regains this water ( liquid or solid ) all these sources get it from nature. Contaminates in the water, though most tend to be filtered out, pass on to the food or water source that you get it from. Obviously, contaminates like weed killer use on a lawn, can contaminate rivers and streams causing other plants and animals to mutate and die. Though much has been done to keep contaminated water from reaching humans in more recent times some still make it through the filtering systems. - You know, the effects of diesel emissions is about the same as gasoline emissions. When ethanol burns, it does about the same amount of pollution as diesel fumes do. Healthdon't know Economyif you remove diesel out of the equation, you lose the economy. You cannot haul freight efficiently without diesel power, you cannot operate most generators efficiently without diesel power, etc. The reason why they make such a big deal about diesel emissions is because of the black smoke it produces. It does no greater damage than gasoline emissions do. Plus, if every car ran off of diesel fuel instead of gasoline, prices would be much much cheaper, crude oil would be used more efficiently and there wouldn't be a shortage like there is. PLUSyou would be able to turn that 30-35 mpg car into a 55-60 mpg car if you ran it off of diesel. And I also like to blow black smoke out of my Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel tooits fun, plus a lot of power.

- Very simple. You need an electric motor of the same wattage as you need to generate. You will need to spin the motor a little faster than the rated RPM of the motor. (pick your pulleys carefully) Hook a small load up to the motor, spin it, hit it with a jolt of voltage. (try your 12 volt battery)It should start to generate and you can hook up a bigger load to it. Too simple? Try it.
