- Q: How to calculate fuel average consumption hours/liter?
- Fill your tank to the very top, all the way to where it is almost overflowing. Then run the engine for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, hours, or however long you want but for simplicity sake do it at an least an hour or a whole 60 minutes for easy division (remember that a generator will use more fuel when it is being taxed by running something off of it than it will while simply running with nothing using its power). Then turn the engine off and refill the tank to the exact amount you originally filled it to while at the same time making sure you know exactly how much fuel you are putting in (use a measuring cup). Once you know how much fuel it takes to fill the tank to the point you originally filled it you will have the basis for your equation which will be: amount of fuel consumed (the amount you replaced) divided by the time the engine ran.
- Q: believe the mh didnt come with a seperate 12v power supply to run items after the mh engine is stopped! I want to run these items seperately from the mh engine 12v system if possible. The mh has its own stock inverter but i am unable to locate a pwer supply other than the 12v battery in the engine compartment which is used for the primary engine power supply. Does this sound right. For instance are their electrical systems that rely solely on the main or engine battery power supply(without a secondary seperate accesories battery or power supply) and are totally reliant on charging only from the engine charging system. I do have a 2500 watt external generator but i am limited on the hours of usage. Mainly i am interested in running the light ,tv and vcr without assistance of my external generator. How the hell do i set this all up??
- Do some research on solar power for the energy you need, you may find it's not as bad as you think. Great strides have been made in solar technology the last few years and the Toyota Prius is coming out with a solar powered A/C system next year, I think it's next year.
- Q: I have an old generator that the motor doesn't run. I want to salvage the generator head and make something like a wind, steam, or bio diesel generator I haven't made my mind up yet. But for now I need to dismantle the head from the motor. I think it has some kind of a ratio box on it too I'm not sure I've never done this before. I sure would appreciate any help!

- you will need to govern them together, other wise if one is running slightly slower than the other the slower one will act as a motor and not a generator/ alternator. so both must turn at the same rpm speed. then its just wiring configuration delta - delta or Y - Y configurations.

- Q: I have been given a cheap diesel generator made from china. It starts alright, but seems to be reving very high and poping and spitting until it has ran for a while. It surges some times as well. I don't really like it much and haven't used it to power anything other then to load test it a bit. I have checked the motor and all it has is a simple governor on it with no adjustments? I am not sure even where to start adjusting anything on this. Any body have one of these and same problem? Please I was given it, I would like to get a little service out of it , not just junk it Fuel, oil, air filter are all new.so? help?
- So what did you want to do with this engine? It sounds like a stationary engine used to power a generator or pump or similar application at a constant RPM.

- I work for CSA as well, first off are you western or TCN? If you were offered a specific position and didn't get it you should be talking with HR. Or get a Kuwaiti lawyer the company is in violation of labor laws. CSA lately has been doing some very unethical things and are going to get caught.

- Q: here in the town i live in we recently had an avalanche take out power transmission lines from our hydro dam in the time it takes them to repair those 90% of our power is coming from diesel generators(you should have cringed there) causing the price per kWh to go up 500% for what might be the next 3 months.currently i make enough that i can live with a bill 5 times higher than im used to, but a couple of years ago that would have got me kicked out of my apartment because there was no way in hell i could find an extra 300 bucks a month with a week or two notice.its been a big deal here, but we are notorious complainers, so im wondering if that situation would cause you to write letters to editors and complain to everyone who will listen all day long?
- I could afford it, but I'd definitely start looking at solar panels or my own wind generator. I am sick of being gouged by the power companies--especially since where I live, you would DIE in the winter without heat.
