ZX series self-priming centrifugal pump is a new modified centrifugal pump which is developed on the basis of absorbing domestic and overseas advanced technology of the same product and combining many years' design and manufacturing experience of our company.

- Q: i have a 1996 camaro rs v6 that needs a new water pump, the old one is leaking from a failsafe type hole.i know that im probably not gonna get one but its simply the perfect time to so if i am so... but should i consider getting an electric water pump instead of the $50 origional replacement? the car has no 'real' mods and i know the electric water pump would be a two horse difference, and that it is a mostly race type modification. so i had to ask because if i was to do this mod, now is the time. so what do you think? things like average cost of a good name like meziere , how hard to wire, etc.thanks
- Not sure where your shopping, but I could have sworn water pumps were more than that at least the ones I buy. And yes, I do not buy aftermarket parts since I do not like replacing the same part over over again every month!!!!!!! I would advise you if you do not want to replace the engine down the road for overheating, I would stick with factory water pump leave the electric pump idea alone!!!!! Last time I checked on those, they were more than $50.00 also.

- Water pump will be at the front center of the engine usually about 2 behind the fan belt Please be very careful never to allow the vehicle to run low on coolant or serious and expensive engine damage will occur. If in doubt don't drive it until its fixed Take a flashlight and take a good look over the whole engine compartment giving close attention to all the hoses connecting the engine to the radiator its best to find the exact location of the leak and get it fixed.Coolant leaks usually leave a discolored stain so this may help in finding it. Also take a look at the carpet on both front floorpans of the vehicle its possible that the cars heater may have failed and this will leak coolant all over either 1 or both floor pans which can then leak out on to the ground below via a drain hole.
- Q: This only happens while I am running water. I can hear the pressure switch clicking on and off the whole time I am doing dishes, laundry, ... Since it is only when the water is running I believe that means it is not a leak. I changed the check valve and that did not fix the problem. I checked the pressure in the tank and it seemed to be around the 20/40 mark. Any other ideas anyone?Thanks.
- It sounds like the bladder in your pressure tank has ruptured.

- I use a cut down rain water barrel to drop the outboard leg into. Fill the barrel until water reaches the anti-cavitation fin or a bit higher, start engine and make sure water come from the small tell-tale at the back of the lower cover. If no flow- ensure tell-tale pipe is clear (use a bit of wire), If still no flow, don't risk using engine until pump checked. Do not run the engine without water as you will burn out the pump rotor very quickly.
- Q: My 93 Ford t-bird over heats and i really don't know what could be the problem, the radiator is working fine, and also the fan and the thermostat, i don't think is a head gasket because the oil looks alright with no contamination and there is no steam coming from the exhaust im beginning to suspect the water pump but the weep hole is not leaking. So does a water pump MUST leak from the weep hole if it is bad, or it could be bad and not leak? thanks in advance...
- My husband says: If it has a clutch fan, the clutch could be bad; the impleller in the water pump could be bad or broke and to check and make sure your belt is not slipping. Hope this gives you some ideas!
- Q: I have a 2005 Mazda RX8 and I was wondering if upgrading the water pump on my car would void the warranty I have with Mazda. I know such modifications such as air intakes and exhaust systems do not void warranty. The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act says Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle. So is it safe to say it's alright to install? Thanks!
- sorry to say, if you uninstall anything aftermarket on your engine you will void your warranty. They would prefer that you use OEM replacement parts until your warranty expires.

- I would suggest having the computer codes read. If it shows that the Temp sensor is reading too high, then yes, the cause could be from your water pump. Have the Codes read to be sure.
- Q: Im replacing the water pump in my 1992 toyota celica, and i cant get the pully off! i have been working hard for like an hour, i took the belts off. all i have is good old fashoned sockets and crescent wrenches. do i need to get the pully off? and is it lefty loosey and righty tighty or righty loosy lefty tighty?? because sometimes i hear they reverse it. thanks- jordan
- I am sure you would have to get the pulley off in order to access the bolts holding the water pump on. Is there not 4 bolts holding the pulley on? I agree with Don below here. My experience with toyota water pumps was with my 1986 toyota pickup where the pulley did come off after removing the fan.
- Q: I have a bad water pump on my golf gti.Engine is 2.0L. I just would like to know how hard is it to do it myself. And also is there some special tools that I need.How much time usually takes to get this done? Thank you
- The 85 was CISE, and did not have a lift pump in the tank from what I remember. All I remember is the singe pressure pump outside the tank, down low, off to the front right of the tank. That is also where the filter and accumulator are. Change the filter and check the pressure. I believe around 40 psi. If ok, then leave the pump alone. And make sure the tank is venting right, and the pressure return regulator is good. You can not even be sure the pump is the problem. By the way, the GTI with the DOHC is a sought after engine of value. But do the timing belt regularly.
