Diesel Engine Driven Fire Fighting Pump
1.Structure of Diesel Engine Driven Fire Fighting Pump Description
The diesel driven fire-fighting pump group can be formed with electric motor pumps and jockey pumps as an automatic fire-fighting water supply system (see tabel1). For more details, please see our document "Diesel Engine Control System". The system also can be connected to the fire-fighting center.
Being the auto-control unit, a separate diesel engine auto-control panel (programmable) carries out the system’s automatic start, run, auto-switch (the electric motor pump unit is switched to the diesel engine pump or the diesel engine pump unit to another diesel pump unit), auto-protection (warning and stop protection for the diesel engine’s over-speed, lower oil pressure, high water temperature, three-time start failures, low voltage of accumulator warning etc.) and also can be connected to user’s fire-fighting center or the fire auto-warning device with the purpose of remote monitoring.

- Q: im attaching a motor from another filter onto my homemade filter. but i dont want to have to run a cord all the way from the pond to a powerplug. does anyone know of another way to such water into a filter without using electricity? some kind of siphon?
- 1. I had an electrician put a buried cable in the ground coming up to a weatherproof post with outlets and an on-off switch. It was not as expensive as I thought it would be. 2. You can put the water pump and filters by the house or even inside and run buried water pipes out to the pond, or just put the pump inside and have the filter by the pond which would run by water pressure or gravity. 3. A windmill or solar panel. A siphon uses potential energy stored in the water to work. Once the water has dropped through the siphon, there is no more energy to draw from and the siphon stops. A windmill or solar panel could provide the power to lift the water back up and make the process continuous, or at least while it's windy or sunny. However when pricing these two options even though they would be very cool if you have the large yard to accommodate them, they turn out to cost much more than either 1. or 2. and have much higher maintenance costs associated with them. 4. If it's a very small pond, you can get a solar powered filter/fountain that looks like a floating plastic lily pad. My son had one of these, but it only worked on the sunniest of days, and lasted one summer before wearing out. If you add a large block of filter foam over the intake it may last a little longer. Rinse it out two or three times a week.
- Q: All the water to my house comes from the river close by - via a 1500kw surface pump, into a large pressurised tank. If there is ever any kind of blockage in the pipe - or if it freezes ...this causes the pump to run - 'dry' - which eventually burns out the motor. I have lost 2 pumps so far because of running dry - and they are very expensive.I would like to fit some kind of automatic cut-out - that will ALWAYS stop the pump running after 15 minutes or perhaps less - as that is ALL the time it needs - if the water is flowing freely - to fill the pressurised tank. I feel sure such a thing must exist - but I do not know what it is called or where to buy one. Does anyone know of a 'switch' of this kind? And where to look for one? What could I put into google to do a search - for suppliers and prices, please?
- Put an inline presure switch between the tank and pump so the pump will turn off when the presure in the line drops below a preset presure.
- Q: I own a Camaro 1995 V6 3.4L automatic, it was diagnosed that the water pump was leaking and I was going to take it in on Saturday 3/1/08. But this morning I drove it and it seem that the car is losing power the RPM goes all up to 4-5 thousand to make a speed change. The car seems to stall like if it gets stuck the RPM goes up and eventually the next speed kicks in. I will be taking the car in tomorrow 2/27/08 to see whats wrong but I was hoping maybe someone knows whats wrong so that I can have an idea before someone tries to take advantage of me. I do know that the car started leaking water/coolant more than before after that little drive in the morning. The car is very well kept oil change is always on time .I always make sure that the water and the oil is level. transmission fluids are clean. I do know that the EGR Valve needs to be replaced. (hope this info helps)thank you
- if you dont have coolant in your car then it wont run right not to mention damage the engine
- Q: I was driving when my temp gauge shot up all the way so i pulled off the next exit and my car shut off and started smoking i noticed the water pump belt was in shreds and what seemed to be anti freeze fluid and water was everywhere. I'm curious what could have broke maybe a gasket or the waterpump it's self besides just the belt?
- It seems to be a water pump failure, unfortunately that kind of failure is unpredictable and can easily sneak up on you. What happens is the pump fails and then the belt gets literally gets burnt off, this issue can be a cascade failure because the excessive engine heat can cause a number of COSTLY internal engine problems because aluminum engine blocks these days can't handle prolonged excessive heat. Hopefully not in your case, but just to give you an idea of the issue and everything surrounding it. The cost to repair at a shop can run anywhere from 200$ to 600$ depending on where you take it, you can do it yourself if you are mechanically inclined but i suggest a professional because they can also further detect any damage that the pump failure may have caused.
- Q: (used in business units, cities in the North)1, how many watts, head M?2 is it fixed or removable?3, portable or heavy?4, how many units? What brand is good (Fire Department, or flood control command, often used brand, model)?5, diving?
- Select the QW submersible pump, which is potential water, (flow, lift, bore, power)Flow, how many tons of water pump an hour to play, you choose how much?Lift, water pump from the destination is a few meters, how many meters?,Caliber, this pump potential water, without flange connection, only flow, head can reach.Power, look at the flow and lift is how much, and then choose the right motor (this is regular)The voltage is usually 380V.You can move, it is best to fix a seat, weight, this pump is basically a person can not move, and small can take.Brand, regular manufacturers can.Model, (caliber, flow, lift, power, voltage) tell the manufacturer.
- Q: Hi, I'm looking for an affordable pump that can be used to circulate heated water (60 C) through a 12pipe with a diameter about the size of a pencil. Is there a pump out there to match this application? I've come across some small fountain pumps, but they need to be submerged in the 60 C water bath and I'm not sure about the temperature tolerances of it. The model I'm currently looking at is a quot;TotalPond130gph fountain pump model. Thanks
- Sounds like you're in quite a predicament there.
- Q: I just replaced my submersable well water pump, the wire that connects the pump, the d switch, and the water tank. Everything was installed correctly and with the help of a licensed plumber. While the D switch is closed (providing power to the pump) the pump will run for about 5 seconds then shut off for about one minute. It will continue this process until the system attains proper pressure and the D switch will open, shutting off power to the pump. The pump is brand new. Why, when power is being supplied does the pump cut on and off? We have tested the current at the well head and it shows that 230 is being supplied the whole time that the D switch is closed, which is correct.
- make sure your pump is wired 220vac. you need to restrict the flow coming out of the discharge of the pump when you are filling tanks/waterlines. Once everything is full and the pump is running at operating pressure it should quit turning off. as said above it is the thermal overload protector in the motor shutting it off. The more GPM you move the more current it pulls, current=heat. restrict it by turning your valve down by half or more.
- Q: I've been hearing a noise from my truck that sounds like a fan blade is rubbing against something metal but I could never figure out what it was and my truck seemed to be running fine. I recently replaced my radiator and now my truck is overheating. Was that noise my water pump going bad and now it's shot?
- could very well be.Also could be fan clutch.
- Q: I would like to change the water pump myself but do not have a repair manual.
- 2000 Chevy Impala Water Pump
- Q: 2000 Jetta GLX VR6Problems:- AC is no longer working- The Reader said quot;STOP!quot;CHECK COOLANTI pulled over and checked the Coolant and it was full- The Car will overheat to about 260 whenever I am sitting with the Engine Running- When I start the car its on Zero Degrees and then Slowly makes it way to 190 degrees which is in the middle quot;Normalquot;- Oil Seems to be fine---- What does this sound like to you??--- Also, The VW Dealer said I needed to be without my Car for Two days so I will drop it off Friday Night and leave it until Wednesday. Do you think it will last until Friday driving 60miles a day??-- If it is the Water Pump... How much do you *think* I am looking at paying? I am taking it to the VW Dealer b/c I have a Recall they need to fix too.
- I would not drive the car until it is fixed. You can do alot of damage to the cooling system and engine if you drive it while it's overheating. The thermostat on these vehicles are pretty reliable. I suspect the water pump's plastic impellar has broken apart and isn't circulating the coolant through the system like it should be. Are you the original owner? Are you under 100K miles? If, so, the water pump falls under the 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. If it is the water pump, the dealership or authorized VW repair center should fix it for FREE. Good luck.
