Q:hiI have very low pressure only on the hot water in my kitchen sink. Cold water is fine. Can anyone recommend a water pump/power shower i can use for boosting my hot water in the kitchen sink tap?Ive already tested the faucet by swapping the water supplies.thanks: Your hot and cold water should be at equal pressures. I suspect you have a restriction in your hot water supply, possibly the under the sink shut off or is semi closed or the hot water tank main shutoff is partially shut off…or the hot water system is clogged somewhere.

Q:i replace all the seals on the water pump reinstalled it and the same thing happened... it leaks out the bottom some where and run down the water pump and down the hot side radiator hose... any ideas?: Definitely a gasket issue, if you just had it replaced, then whoever did it either tore the gasket by accident, didn't put proper amount of RTV silicone, or didn't tighten it up enought.

Q:was putting a water pump on, and i tight too much on 2 bolts, and they broke. is it anyway to fix it ?? is it going to cost alot in labor ??: Take the water pump back off. If the broken studs stick out of the block enough you can get a vice-grip pliers on them and remove them. If you can't get a hold on them then you will have to drill a small hole in the stud and use an Easy Out to back out the broken stud(s). Be sure to drill exactly in the center and not too big. Drilling off center or too big and you will destroy the threads in the block. THEN you will have to re-tap the threads and use a larger size stud. Likely you will have to modify the water pump to handle the bigger studs. So be careful. If you are not confident you can handle this then take it to a shop. Ava g'day mate. ) And good luck.

On top of a very waterproof and airtight (besides vents) building, and running a dehumidifer inside, I would like to install a pump underneatth the foundation to suck out water from the soil surronding the building but I'm not sure what kind of pump would be best?Also how would b e the best way to set this up?: What you want is called a sump pump. Most have a system built into them that is triggered by rising water. The idea is to have a hole beneath that allows the inevitable water that will collect a place to go, then when a certain amount gets in the hole, the sump pump comes on and pumps it out to wherever you have the hose or pipes ran to. Being underground, good luck keeping the humidity level down. It won't be easy, and much depends on where your natural water table is, and what it is during rains. Someone in your area might know all that, I don't.

Q:About 3 weeks ago our water stopped. We replaced the switch at the pump and it was fine. Today when I was running water, it stopped again. I went and flipped the breaker on it, but it still didn't come on. About 20 minutes later, it started working again. Have you ever had this happen or do you know what the problem could be?: The pump has a capacitor start motor. Electrolytic capacitors fail. The capacitor is not physically down the well with the motor though, just electrically connected. There should be a pump control box on your wall somewhere with a pump shut off lever on the side, some relays and a large motor start capacitor hidden inside the box. Kill the main power, open the box, remove the capacitor and replace it with a new one with the same number on it. You can get them at any pump supply place, or even just order it on the internet. I recommend taking a picture first for reassembly if you can't understand the schematic on the inside of the box. Sometimes electrolyte from the bulged out old cap obliterates the schematic anyway, so having a pic is a good idea. Look on the internet for motor start caps if you can't figure out which item it is.

Q:I keep having to add water to. Doesn't do anything when it's sitting up. But after you drive it straight for about 25 minutes. Time to add some more water. I figure it's the water pump. It's not leaking anywhere so it has to be a failing water pump. Oil still looks good, no smoking. AC and heater blows fine. Just runs hot after a while. I need another opinion. Its the 4 cylinder also. And yes it does be steaming. Tired of having to add water everyday.: Because it doesn't drip when it's just sitting shows you that it doesn't leak untill it's hot pressurized. So, drive it until the temp is 'normal', then stop but leave the engine running see if you can find the drip with the engine hot. Also, the water pump is not a 'normal' source for lost coolant - More likely a lose hose clamp....

Q:replaced one themostat, disconected lower unit twice look at the water pump everything looks fine but when lower unit was reconnected water pump would not work. not sure if asembled it wrong or forgot to d somthing. can someone help.: You miss aligned the Pick UP tube with the lower unit, drop the unit, and watch from the bottom to make sure the hose hits the PICK UP tube !
