Q:what does it really matter? does it has to have a high ph level to clean carpet?: Hi Carpet has to sit at a PH of 7.5, which is neutral. If you use a carpet spotter with a high PH you will slowly lift the PH of the carpet and that can cause the carpet to turn brown or black. If you use a product with a low PH you can cause a carpet to turn yellow or red. This is the reason pet urine stain (high PH) go yellow and vinegar (low PH) is used to bring the PH of the carpet back to neutral. Q:I am moving to an apartment that has hardwood floors. I've never had area rugs before, someone mentioned I would need one in my living room at least..?Thanks: Though it is not necessary, rugs add a nice design touch to your space and help define an area. They add color and warmth. I think a room would look a bit bare without them. Your choice.

Q:I have rugs on hardwood floors but these gets dirty very quickly as I broom daily and vacuum once or twice a week and then clean the floor with murphy oil but still rugs gets dirty and whats the best way to keep neat and clean: the only way is to either vacuum daily, or if they rugs are small enough, shake them outside of all the excess dirt and dust. Imagine how much dirt would be on your floor if you didn't have the rug.

Q:I have to clean my carpet and an area rug. I had the rug for more than 2 years, and have been living in this carpeted apartment for 15 months. I learned a trick from some apt owners (250 apts at their site). First pretreat with Shout Use recomended soap or less. Never use more soap because if it is left in carpet it attracts dirt Rinse with a cup or so of shout in the rinse water because it cuts the foam of the soap so you can get it out. (Antifoam) Shout is my hero when it comes to carpet! Hope it helps

Q:I already have my carpet and padding. We purchased a whole house of like new, but used carpet at a great price for our LR and BR's and we have carpet padding. We planned to pay to have the carpet installed, but we are now completely out of money and paying someone is not an option. I know it will not be as nice or last as long, but I am wondering if we can glue the carpet down? It's just a regular mid-grade plush carpet. I am also wondering if this can be done with carpet padding or can it only be glued directly to the sub-floor? I am trying to figure out if I could staple down the carpet padding and somehow glue the carpet to the padding? Any help/suggestions on gluing down carpet with or without padding would be appreciated. Thanks!: Carpet and a separate pad cannot be glued down . This system needs the tack strip on the perimeter. Any and all carpet can be just glued direct. Not a comfortable walk on regular carpet but it can be done. Getting the stretch on this type of carpet installation is hard for a DIY er. Glue direct commercial carpet is a different story. Plus consider what you d pay for glue ( not cheap) and reconsider having it professionally installed. Q:hello, im getting a horse soonshe is a 15.3hh 5year old mare irish type sorti live in eastern england so the weather is pretty changeable :/i was looking at some horse rugs and i found some i like i thought that i would get 6 (3 stable 3 turnouts)i was going to get a :12oz/340g filled turnout9oz/250g filled turnoutand a no fill turnout sheet.14oz/400g filled stable8oz/220g filled stableand a waffle/fleece stable do u think that would be ok? first time horse owner you see want to get it right :) do i need more or more heavy filled rugs??thanks xXp.s the horse will be out in the summer months and in at night out during the day in winter: I have a 15.2 hh Fat horse, as round as a pumpkin! He is generally a 60 rug but can fit into a 59! He is also a cob! If you are going to have a couple of rugs, id have the bottom one or 2 as a 59 and the top ones as 60. Also i rekon he would be a cob. But i dont think there is much difference in a 5'9and a 6'0, so if you thought he may fill out or get rounder once you get him than you may be better just going with 6'0!

So try to put some color back into the rug. meanwhile, get a product called Anti Icky-Poo which will remove the odor.
