- The best way would be to have it steam cleaned by a professional with truck mounted equipment!

- That would be Berber carpeting. It's not a plush comfortable carpet to walk barefoot on, but it's stiff and dense which makes it wear very well.
- Q: The carpets in a house we placed an offer on are ick. Well they don't smell and most of the stains I think will clean out but they eventually need to be replaced. But due to other costs we have to address first we want to clean them. Is calling a professional steam cleaner the best way to go? Does steam cleaning really do a good job? - You can get a professional to clean them. My brother used to clean carpets and I worked with him one day and this one house had the biggest transformation. Made a really big difference. I like using my parent's carpet cleaning machine on my floors, but you said that you didn't have good results when you tried it before.

- Try a mixture of white vinegar and water- 3 to 1 with the water first. Blot and use a towel to dry-Repeat several times. This worked on my wool Persian rug.

- No not at all I would know I'm a carpet salesman. You would have to go with a low pile area rug but a shag would look ridiculous!
- Q: Do carpet beetles attack pets?
- Carpet beetles come in from outside and they get in a lot more than carpet. If they laid eggs, you will have a lot more carpet beetles. You might find some fuzzy larvae along the baseboards. The vacuum is a good weapon. The site gives good information.
- Q: Ok so my friend threw up on my other friends carpet so she freaked and grabed toliet cleaner and put it on the carpet and then it hardend now its stiff on the carpet. - Probably the fibers are now chemically burned. No remedy. If the closets are carpeted, cut a patch from the back corner and exchange with the damaged section. Use double sided carpet tape to hold down the patch. In the future have some enzyme carpet cleaner for vomit and use that after cleaning up the chunks. Actually club soda works wonders.......
- Q: Always been as natural as possible with my horses inc rugging, deciding if it's time to rug my old guy (I say old but he's 18 which isn't that old I know!). He's a warmblood, 18yrs used now as a pleasure/trail horse. Things to consider:I live in Queensland, Australia - the lowest the temperatures been since we've lived here is around 1-2 degrees celsius (that's 33-35 Fahrenheit) but it is quite windy (it doesn't snow here - I wish!)This horse spent most of his life in Victoria where the temperature got much lower much windier but he was with a large herd to snuggle up too.We have a run in shelter with just a roof minimal trees.He's a good doer keeping his condition (if anything slightly chubby!).Thanks for your contributions :)
- I live in Queensland, (gold coast). as well and i have always rugged my horses. Specialy in winter. It has been so cold lately and i think we are in for the coldest winter in a long time. Remember the cold may affect his joints just like in us humans they get stiff etc. So maybe joint supplement aswell. But i would think that you should rug him this winter. EDIT** Haha geez we live close. i live in mudgeeraba lol. Yes if the sheet is wetthrough take it off otherwise its just going to make him extra cold having a wet rug on. im going to be doing the same thing as my winter rugs broke and i gotta get them fixed.
