I've hooked rugs before, and I can say it's easy and fast. I enjoyed it most probably, because it was fast and you can see your accomplishment allot sooner than other projects. - Snow is less of a problem than driving rain. As long as your pony can get some form of shelter, even a wall or hedge, then Highlands are well capable of coping. Older ponies may need more consideration, but generally speaking, well nourished Highlands can cope. You will often see snow lying on their backs, unmelted. This shows how well insulated they are given their body temperature.

This is very safe for rugs and cleans as well as deodorized and actually boost the clean smell of the area you have it in. Putting rugs into a washer is NOT recommended and can void your warranty.

- You mark and cut the rug from the backside. Use a razor-knifem or drywall knife which is razor sharp. It won't fray if the rug is fitted tight against the wall. You can just cut it and leave it or you can put a glue on it like carpenters white glue and let it dry out. It dries clear. Make sure all your cuts are complete, including the pink carpet material.
