Q: I'm looking for a dark green Oriental rug. The green should be a forest or emerald green to replace the previous rugs. Every time I look for these greens, I find various shades of sage, teal, seafoam, and olive. This is not what I'm looking for. It needs to be large (at least 8x10 feet), and be classy/fancy and durable enough to cover the wooden floor in the dining room. A floral or Asian print would be preferred. If anyone knows of such a rug, or where to buy one, please let me know. (Please don't just link me to or mention OKorder or Macy's or something. I've already looked there.) Thanks! =)
Hey, I recently use Oakham Oriental Rugs, they have a stunning wide range of Oriental rugs available. Great prices too!! You should check them out too. They hand pick each of their rugs, as they only sell the highest quality. Highly recommend.
Q: Just bought an area rug, and I can't decide if it looks good. The area is small - and I get the feeling that it closes it in even more. But it also looks bare if there isn't something there...what do you think?Any advice would be wonderful! (Also, your take on the coffee table? Should it be gone or a different one or is that one ok?)
you need the rug!! without it, it looks really empty!! hope this helped please answer mine :)
Q: I rent a duplex and the carpet was brand new when we moved in. the first time i went to vacuum it tore up a big string of carpet. now i have 3 or 4 spots in my house that have runs in the carpet. How do i fix these? is there away without redoing the whole carpet? I would like to get my security deposit back.
we've easily been commencing a seek for carpet for our new child's playroom. We additionally do not % some thing truly advantageous, as all of us comprehend it gets ruined. i does not reccommend getting too much less costly of stuff, except you propose on shifting quickly, because it gets worn down truly speedy. At living house Depot, the main inexpensive carpet I observed substitute into approximately 60 cents a sq. foot, which may be approximately $240, not which includes taxes and that i'm uncertain if that incorporates installation. in any different case, the common low end cost gave the impression to be approximately $2.40ish a sq. foot. After HD we went to a place noted as Carpet turbines, basically a extensive-unfold carpet keep, and we discovered a plenty extra desirable deal. We chanced on that there, the salespeople have been prepared to good handle us. we don't choose installation, so he substitute into in a position to grant us some fantastically plush carpet for approximately $a million.70 a sq. foot. needless to say, installation could up that fee slightly. i could verify with community carpet shops first, in the previous living house Depot. Carpet is oddly high priced, so i could assume to pay over $3 hundred for the backside high quality stuff.
Q: My lil' sister had a sleep over in our living room the other night and her and her friends got chewing gum walked into the carpet in about 5 places.. It's an old carpet but that's not the point really, its dried solid hows best to remove it?
Freeze it and use a butter knife, can use ice or buy a can of gum remover.
Q: I've already tried carpet cleaner, nail polish remover, and bleach. Its black nail polish on a light beige carpet. Please help! Thanks.
keep trying NON ACETONE finger nail polish remover have you tried hydrogen peroxide?
Q: Just bought new carpet tiles and my husband wants a little more cushion and wants to try out putting a carpet pad under the tiles. Is the possible?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Can I install carpet tiles on top of a carpet pad? Just bought new carpet tiles and my husband wants a little more cushion and wants to try out putting a carpet pad under the tiles. Is the possible?
Q: My carpet is threadbare and needs replacing. The kids are almost grown and pets live outside. Should I get a timber floor or go with carpet again. Which is easier to keep clean? I know that carpet is dirty but it also hides a lot. If you have a timber floor and then get rugs, aren't you getting the vaccuum out anyway? What do you think?
Well, carpets are quite unhygienic even if they wouldn't show the dirt and dust. They too promote molds that can also cause respiratory problems to those who may want to pay you a visit. Vacuuming it doesn't really get them all out... It's like you don't see them but at the back of your mind you know it's just an illusion:) Hardwood flooring, laminates, or any hardsurface flooring are very easy to clean and gives your place a whole new look:) Tehre's a whole lot out there that you can choose from to get the design style that you want. Rugs to accent your home are not much of a hassle to clean really, it'd be just a small space compared to carpets....and you can remove them anytime you wan...wash them even:) Since you have no pets and now have grown kids, time to treat yourself with hardwood floors:) It will add to the value of your home too:) Am sure you'll love them just like every customer I've encountered these past years who opted to get rid of their carpets:)
Q: It's a latex based paint, and a nylon carpet. Anyone have any tips on getting it out? The carpet is a gray color. Thanks so much :)
Paint thinner and acetone won't work...it will just work the paint deeper into the carpet. However, you can usually remove paint spatter with scissors. Often spatter is just on the very tips of the fibers. If this is the case you can just snip the paint off with sharp scissors. Just cut the very tips of the fibers. Work slowly. Don't cut a single millimeter more than you have to and pull up while cutting. This will help prevent divots in the carpet. Try your best to do just one or two fibers at a time...not a whole clump. And dissect the spills first by cutting them in half or thirds, so that you separate clumps. This will work unless you have already used a solvent and have worked the paint into the carpet. Also...cutting the spatter on shag or plush carpet, but not Berber or loopy carpet. Good luck. - It worked for me
Q: My fiance and I are moving into our brand new house this week. The home is brand new but has been sitting empty for nearly a year. My question is with the brand new carpeting, I know I should at least vacuum to remove the loose/excess fibers in the carpet, but I'm also debating renting a basic carpet cleaner from Home Depot. Would that be overkill or should it be done?
bran new carpet comes with a preventer on it, it shoul not be deep cleaned for at least 2 years of use, doing so will remove the stain preventer, if its a decent carpet, check with the builder or the carpet installer before doing anything, there might also be a warranty on it that could be voided if you do that.
Q: So my carpet (40 year's of age) was torn out my bedroom this morning. And what do ya knw!! there was a beatiful hardwood floor underneath. I saw all the stains/mold on the carpet and whatnot. Before I had trobule breathing and would wake up with a headace every morning becuase of the smell. However, I can notice a slight difference in smell but not a drastic Now, I can't decide if I should get a new carpet or just live with the hardwood floor that's already there. . I still have to sweep the dust and mop. Getting a brand new carpet is expensive. But with a hardwood floor in the winter it can be a little uncomterable. Any idea's??
teh best thing to do would be to keep the hardwood floor and not cover it with a new carpet. during the winter it may be cold to walk on but that has a simple and cheap answer slippers. carpets hold to much dust and mold if not cleaned every two to three months and can do serions harm. its even worse if not throughly and professionaly cleaned at least once a year on top of the monthly cleaning you would have to do. carpets can grow Black mold that has been known to cause Pneumonia and bronchial infections. I know all this because I'm a carpenter and building contractor. CARPETS ARE BAD FOR YOU stick with hard wood floors their cheaper to keep clean and won't kill you
