- The reason rug burns hurt so much is becaue you are only scraping the top layer of skin off. That exposes all the nerves under the top layer of skin. These nerves are usually covered so they are sensitive.

- I agree with Janian. They shouldn't need a rug. Donkeys (and horses) can handle cold just fine. What they can't handle is a combination of wet and windy. Then they might need a waterproof blanket, but they should have a shelter to stay dry in anyway. A blanket can actually make them colder by pushing down the fluffy hair, which is meant to insulate them from the cold.

- Q:Has anyone ever tried using oxyclean or any other cleaner that would work good or produce the same results as with the Rug Doctor cleaners?
- Problem being! Most rug cleaning machines can't handle sud's. If oxyclean sud's up it can destroy the machine. I don't know about mixing them...I have...used Downy in those machines to soften my rug and get rid of static.
- Q:My son got orange marker on our carpet, (which is the longer strand kind). I went to my old standby stain remover of vinegar baking soda which I've never had any issues with until now. - Getting hair dye out of carpet is tough - and if you're to have much luck it's best if you can get at the stain immediately. Here's what to do: Step 1 Blot the stain immediately with a clean, white cloth. Step 2 Mix a solution of 1/4 tsp. liquid hand-dishwashing soap and 1 cup lukewarm water. Step 3 Blot stain with soap solution, using a clean, white cloth. Blot from the outside of the stain, working inward. Step 4 Let sit a few minutes. Step 5 Mix a solution of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts lukewarm water. Step 6 Dab stain with vinegar solution, again working from the outside in. Step 7 Once the stain has disappeared, flush the area with cold water and blot dry with a clean, white cloth.
- Q:Yesterday morning the toilet supply line to our toilet burst, and as a result we had crazy flooding. Blot up, rinse, and let dry. To eliminate urine smells, all you need is Heinz White Vinegar. You can mix one part vinegar to one part water in a sixteen-ounce trigger spray bottle. Or use it full strength. Just saturate the spot on the carpet. It's going to smell like urine and vinegar for about three days, but once it dries, the vinegar will entirely deodorize the stain. You won't smell a thing.
