- Q: i never rode but wanna ride but cant tell the outcome of my future.
- There are risks in everything that you do, riding a motorcycle can be dangerous but with proper training and the more experience you get, the more alert you will become to potential dangers. If you are considering whether or not to ride, I would suggest you sign up for a motorcycle safety course. I have been riding back when Florida only required a driver's license to ride a motorcycle so I didn't have to take the course. After 25 years of riding I finally took the course and learned some things I didn't know. It is well worth it to ensure you will have a safe ride. Safety also is dependent on the person driving, if you drive crazy or impaired your risks are much greater.
- Q: I am new to Riding motorcycles and was wondering what is a good started bike. I have looked at sportsters and so on but i havent found anything that caught my eye. I did however see a Triumph Tiger and was curious. I like the bike and all the xtras for it but is it an ok starter bike?
- That Triumph is an excellent bike, but perhaps more bike than you want for a starter. Remember, you are probably going to drop the bike at least once or twice while you learn, so something a little more disposable makes sense. I may sound like a broken record saying this, but dual sport bikes make the best starter bikes, in my opinion. They are user-friendly and easy to ride. In competent hands, the bigger ones 9650 class) will stay with a nominally faster sport bike on a twisty road. Perhaps most important, you have the opportunity to learn to handle a bike on loose surfaces, which will give you skills you can translate to any kind of riding.
- Q: When they apply the front brake really hard and the rear tire goes up? Also, are those motorcycles ABS? Can it only be done with ABS?
- It is a stoppie Most commonly known as an endo No ABS necessary to do a stoppie.
- Q: I have a rather small frame weighing 110 , but I really want to learn to ride and get a license. I‘m mainly worried about me being clumsy and not being quick enough on the road. How difficult is it? Is there alot to learn and how long do you think it will take me to become a good rider? Any advice/tips please?
- It's not difficult. I would recommend signing up for a motorcycle safety course. They'll pretty much show you everything you need to know. Balancing isn't hard, it's a lot like riding a bicycle. Familiarize yourself with the controls on the bike before you begin. How quickly you improve at riding will depend on how much you ride. If you're looking for a good beginner bike, I would suggest for your size anything in the 250cc to 500cc range or something you won't get tired of in a week (my first bike was a '96 Kawasaki EX500). I would stay away from the Buel Blast since it's a 499cc single and doesn't run very smoothly. Actually, I would stay away from any single and go with a twin.
- Q: I took my motorcycle into a reputable shop to have the brakes serviced. After paying for service and doing everything recommended, I got exactly 1.3 miles from shop when the front brake locked up at 60 mph laying the bike down. I never had an issue like this before. I suffered a broken rib, a cuncussion and road rash to 40 percent of my body. thank god I wear a helmet as there was a huge chunk taken out of it where my head hit the concrete. I was trauma alerted by paramedics due to loss of consiousness, and confusion. Bike is totalled, missed a week of work so far and still having head trauma complications. Do I have a right to hire an attorney and file a lawsuit? If so how long does the process take, and how much is average to go after? Thank you.
- Before hiring a lawyer, I would speak first with your own insurance company for advice. If you have more coverage than simple liability You could use your own insurance to fix your bike and to pay all of your medical bills. If they did, and if their lawyers thought the shop was responsible they would then go after the responsible party for payment of the monies they paid out on your behalf. If they collect, any deducible you had to pay to them would be returned to you After that You could hire a lawyer and sue the shop anytime up to about 2 years after the accident. Did the shop do anything to the bike or to the front brake that would cause it to lock up? I believe that you will have a hard time proving that the shops' work caused the accident but then I am not a lawyer and it is just my opinion. If you had only liability, then your insurance company cannot help you. If so, speak with a lawyer now to see what he/she thinks about suing
- Q: My friend and I want to get one, but we don‘t want a really big one. I asked this before, but the question didn‘t get posted :(
- The question is what kind of riding do you want to do? For around town only, a larger scooter would be great. If you want to ride some on freeways, I would recommend a smaller motorcycle like the Rebel 250 by Honda. good luck
- Q: Im looking to wire the rear of my backpack with a few RGB Led's to turn on when braking on my motorcycle, or even flash when taking a turn. I have already bought an Adafruit FLORA to run this project, but I need a way to wirelessly activate these led's using the circuitry in my bike. I was thinking about using some sort of radio transmitter and receiver to turn on when the lights turn on / flash , etc. but im really not familiar with what I would need or the circuitry. Adafruit has done a similar project but it is all controlled by a remot control which I want to bypass completely. (assuming you are familiar with the products) Would it be possible to buy such a remote and wire is some sort of transistor to activate it using the 12V supply on the bike? Any suggestions are appreciated
- You could use a HC-05 Bluetooth module master and slave, but that would require 20 mA of battery power from the backpack, and a micro controller on the motorcycle to process the brake or turn signal to serial data for the Bluetooth. Probably better would be the 315 MHz remote transmitter for the motorcycle (buttons soldered to opto isolators for turn directions and brake) and the receiver output attached to the flora.
- Q: In nj is a moped considered a small motorcycle?
- Girl, cell phone, knife, lighter, tent
- Q: i bought a motorcycle recently and ive been looking it over pretty good today, i noticed when i pushed the bike across the property that i could hear a little bit of a rattle/jingle sound coming from the front rotor areas, i felt around and found that the brake pads (not the calipers just the pads) can be wiggled around pretty easily they dont move far but they can very very easily be moved 1/8 inch to maybe 3/16 this is the same on both rotors (dual disc front brakes) but is more loose feeling on one then the other. i know on my truck the pads dont feel sloppy like that but thats my only reference. is this normal ? if not what could be wrong with them that would allow for this looseness. the bike stops fine, some minor intermittent squeeking is heard when braking at low speeds but no other noises and no vibrations coming from front end. what do you think?
- Older bikes don't have anti-rattle springs and my '79 Kaw doesn't. The original pads were glued to the pistons and backing plate, which had to be pried free when I replaced them. The replacement pads rattled, which was noticeable and annoying when cruising at low speeds through town. To solve the problem, I used silicone sealer to glue the pads to the piston and backing plate. Problem fixed, that was many years ago and they are still quiet. Since yours rattle, I bet the pads have been replaced.
- Q: If someone accidentally hits a guy riding a motorcycle from behind, can they go to jail?
- Yes. A 21 yr old in my town died today That's not true. You're making stuff up.
